Chapter 13.1
Coming back to the village, I must have seemed dazed or looked like I had a vision as one of the pack onlookers, one who watches for any threat. Sasha stopped me and began inspecting me. Her Lycan mark boldly against her skin caressing her cheek of almost see through leaves. She grasped both my shoulders while looking me up and down slightly shifting her dark brunette hair that had tinge of red.
“Asema are you okay?” she asked, though not in the common tongue as in a way of telling me how I looked to others. I shook my head and nodded as if trying to answer the question myself.
“Yes, I believe so…” I paused and stared at her, “Did you knew are fairies that roam the woods?” I asked while pointing a finger at nothing but the trees behind me. She stared at me, and slowed her next words carefully.
“Did you meet a fairy… in the woods?”
Nodding, “yea some earth fairy.”
“You met a earth fairy?” Wolf voice hollered.
Sasha jumped but quickly scurried away as if she did not want to deal with Wolf and I. I turned and focused my attention on him giving a wonderment look. He stopped and stood in front of me, hands clenched at his side. I could see the steam rise up on him.
He repeated his question, though more worry in his voice.
“You met a earth fairy?”
I nodded, still wondering why they were making a big deal out of it. That is till Wolf grabbed my hand by force dragging me though the village to our house where the trees began to hug us. He stomped us up the porch through the house up the stairs making everything creak to almost shake with fury. He didn’t throw me in the room rather jerked me in the with stumble. Oddly enough I didn’t fear or begin breathing rapidly, rather interest to beating heart of anticipation took over. I brought my attention to Wolf who shut the door tightly close and leaned back on it exhaling while bringing his hands up to his face as if he was about to pray. He just gave a sigh, that he failed and, to that I don’t know why.
“Explain to me the situation with the fairy please.” His voice was strained. I nodded.
“I was in the forest minding my own business till this fairy popped out of no where destroying a perfectly nice afternoon of quiet. She oddly blessed mee but apparently that did not work, then said something about source or originality to I am still confused, but then left off with power is great, words of wisdom and popped out.” Saying the words myself I thought I was crazy. But again just years ago I thought Immortals and Lycans were the strangest things. I shook myself from that thought and brought myself to Wolf.
Coloured drained from his face but he looked oddly relieved. He came forward and sat beside me on the bed. My eyes watched him and wondered how he became calm in matter of minutes just by my story.
“What is it?” I whispered, pressing my hand onto his, he relaxed again but stared at the floor while he answered.
“You remember right, Fairies, doesn’t where they come from or how good you are to them…they are dangerous because of the fortune or blessing they cast. Good or bad, doesn’t matter,” he brought his eyes to mine, “that’s is why I was sacred encase you got cursed, but relief yet oddly confused to the blessing and curious why it didn’t work.”
I shrugged my shoulder, “She said something about originality, I am a source” I squeezed his hand again. “And don’t worry I haven’t forgotten about fairies danger.
“Source” he echoed, ignoring my last remark, he gazed down. “What source, like the original source?”
Again I shrugged my shoulders. “that’s all she said.”
The I hesitated for a moment, which Wolf sensed. “What else?” he voice on edge.
“HE words did not make sense yet I feel she helped to understand the unbalance. It’s like something is missing.
