Chapter 80
Alexandra thought, “Julian Ranford is going to cook for me?
“Jesusl
“Isn’t that giving me a hard time?”
“Um… Anything is fine. Mr. Ranford, cook as you see fit. Thank you for the trouble.”
At the same time, Alexandra was wondering if Julian’s cooking was edible.
Julian remembered that Alexandra had unrestrainedly said that she wanted to cat fish when Frank wanted to cook in the morning and asked her what
she wanted to eat.
Why did it become “anything” when it came to him?
Julian suppressed the feelings of injustice in his heart and asked again with a good natured tone. “I’ll ask you again. What do you want to eat?”
Alexandra felt as if a knife was placed on her neck.
She gulped and whispered, “Then.. how about some noodles.”
Julian frowned.
He thought, “What is the meaning of that?
“She’s thinking that my culinary skills are only good enough to make noodles.”
Julian could not be bothered to explain to her. He turned around and went to the bedroom first.
He had taken off his tie when he came out. He had unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt and rolled his sleeves up.
He glanced at her and went straight to the kitchen.
Alexandra took a deep breath.
At this moment, she received a new message.
It was Marco.
Marco asked, “Ms. Doherty, is Mr. Ranford home yet?”
“He is.”
“Oh, oh! Mr. Ranford is very worried about you. There’s still a large number of documents waiting to be signed. He handed them to his assistant and left work. He must be worried about leaving you alone at home!”
“Huh?”
Marco continued with another message. “It’s true. This is the first time Mr. Ranford has brought a girl to Tropical Lagoon Residences. That’s his private
villa.”
“Marco, you…”
“Ah! It’s fine, it’s fine. I was just bringing it up! By the way, what is Mr. Ranford doing?”
Alexandra glanced at the kitchen, but she could not see what Julian was doing inside.
Alexandra answered truthfully, “He’s cooking in the kitchen.”
“What?”
“What’s wrong?”
“It’s nothing. M. Doherty, you must look for me immediately if you need anything in the future! I’ll do anything! I’m willing to do anything as long as it makes you happy!”
Alexandra was confused.
She sent a smiling emoji.
Marco said, “All right, I won’t disturb you anymore!”
“Hey, I have a question for you”
“What question?”
“Mr. Ranford… Is his cooking edible?”
“Uh… Ms. Doherty, I don’t have that high a status. I’ve never eaten his cooking before. Not everyone is as lucky as you to have Mr. Ranford personally cook for you.”
Chapter 80
Fine.
Alexandra felt that what Marco meant was that Julian’s cooking was probably inedible.
Alexandra touched her stomach. She had to give Julian some face later, no matter if she could stomach his food or not.
After all, he was the boss.
The sliding kitchen door opened after a while.
Julian was wearing a dark blue apron, and the sleeves of his shirt were still rolled up.
Alexandra stuck her head out and looked at him. Julian said, “Dinner is ready.”
“Okay!”
Julian turned around and went back into the kitchen. He wanted to bring the meal out first before carrying her over to the dining table.
However, Alexandra had already hopped over to the dining table when he came out with a plate of spaghetti.
The two of them looked at each other awkwardly.
Alexandra stood on one foot, her bandaged foot dangling in the air.
She grabbed the dining table with one hand and was panting slightly.
Julian looked displeased and placed the plate on her seat. “Don’t you know to wait for me?”
Alexandra knew what he meant. He probably wanted to carry her over.
Alexandra felt a little sweetness in her heart. She looked away. “I can walk by myself.”
After saying that, she supported herself with the corner of the table and sat on the chair.
Then, her eyes widened in shock when she saw the beef, ham, and green pepper pasta in front of her.
“Mr. Ranford, you made this?”
“Wow! What’s with the fragrance?” she thought.
Faced with Alexandra’s blatant suspicion, Julian felt like he was being looked down upon.
He said, “Who else could have made it? You?”
Alexandra could detect his unpleasant tone. She stuck out her tongue. “I don’t know how to cook. I mean, I didn’t expect you to be so good at cooking.”
“There are a lot of things you aren’t expecting!”
After saying that, he turned around and went to the kitchen to bring out another large portion of spaghetti.
After putting it down, he went back to the kitchen and brought out a tray. On the tray was a stack of vegetable salad and a few side dishes,
Alexandra found it magical.
She was a little girl who grew up in the countryside, but she only knew how to make soup.
Meanwhile, Julian was an heir of a wealthy family who had grown up living a luxurious life, yet he could cook a decent meal.
As expected, Julian was outstanding.
Meanwhile, she was nothing.
Julian handed her a pair of chopsticks and a silver fork. He untied his apron and threw it aside before sitting down.
Julian had always been a man of few words when he ate. He also ate slowly and in a refined manner.
Alexandra, on the other hand, was very excited whenever she was at the dining table. She ate as if eating delicious food was the happiest thing for her.
Julian picked up his chopsticks and took a bite. He looked up and found Alexandra looking at him with a fork in hand.
Julian slowly chewed the noodles in his mouth and swallowed it. He asked her, “What’s wrong? It doesn’t taste good?”
“Huh? No..”
Although it looked and smelled good, Alexandra still wanted to see if Julian could stomach it.
It probably did not taste too bad seeing that he was eating as usual.
This time, Alexandra could eat the pasta without worry.
She put the noodles in her mouth and curled them around her tongue.
She then chewed another mouthful.
Chapter 80
It was simply too delicious!
She immediately swallowed the food and used a fork and chopsticks to roll up another few strands of noodles. She said as she put them into her mouth, “Mr. Ranford, it’s delicious! I’ve never…”
Her mouth was full of noodles and she could not speak clearly.
However, Julian could still hear from her voice that she was praising the noodles he made.
The corners of his lips curled up involuntarily. It was probably really delicious seeing how energetically she was chewing.
Alexandra’s plate was already empty before Julian could finish his portion.
Her fork made a sound when she used it to scrape the bottom of the plate. Julian looked up and was a little speechless..
He asked, “You’re not full?”
“I’m full! I’m full! I just think it’s too delicious. I can’t waste it!” As she spoke, she ate half strand of noodle left on the fork in front of Julian.
Julian was speechless.
Alexandra burped.
Julian put down his fork and went to the kitchen again.
He had a bowl of soup in his hand when he came back.
He placed the bowl of soup in front of Alexandra and sat down to continue eating his noodles.
Alexandra was flattered.
Her heart was pounding.
Julian was too considerate.
Alexandra grabbed a spoon and drank the soup while watching Julian eat his noodles.
He looked good when he was focused on his work. He looked good when he was cooking in an apron. He looked good even when he was eating.
Julian looked up inadvertently and saw Alexandra looking at him with a spoon in her mouth.
