Chapter 668 What Should I Do
The policeman looked at Jay cautiously before he spoke. "It's hard to say. If it is regarded as a criminal case, you will be put behind bars."
"Damn it! I just want to see Eva. Am I going to jail because of this? I have a wife and a child. What should I do?" The longer he stayed here in the police station, the bigger the possibility of him being imprisoned. Jay couldn't help but be anxious as he thought of this.
When he asked Charles for help, he presumed that everything would finally be solved. However, it didn't work.
What should he do now? No matter how hard he tried to think of a plan, he couldn't come up with anything. Therefore, he just sat on the chair dejectedly.
"That's all for the time being, Mr. Fang. You can stay here for a few days until further notice." The policeman also felt helpless.
Jay sighed in an almost inaudible way. He had no choice anyway.
He thought only God could save him this time!
Right after Charles left Su's residence, he went straight to the TS Group. He was depressed and annoyed at the same time whenever he remembered what Jay had done.
It was then that Hiram entered the office, but he just stood in front of Charles and didn't speak.
So, Charles looked up to see if he had something to tell him.
"Mr. Fu, Miss Ning went to the kindergarten to pick up the children yesterday afternoon. It seemed like she went there very early because when I arrived, she was already there."
"She is their mother. It's just natural for her to pick them up. Is there any problem with that?" Charles asked.
"There's nothing wrong with that. But don't you mind what happened last night at all? Don't you really care about what Miss Ning will think? How about the kids' feelings?" As he spoke, Hiram stared blankly at Charles, waiting for his reply.
"Last night..." Annoyed, Charles massaged his temples. "Hiram, what do you do when you are upset?"
As he remembered how stubborn Nancy was, his head began to ache again.
"Whenever I'm upset?" After thinking for a while, Hiram continued, "I take a hot bath, watch TV or sleep for a while." However, his answer only made Charles frown. "That's it?"
"Well, that's it. I'm single and have no huge responsibilities yet, so I don't have a lot of restrictions. A ghost of smile appeared on Hiram's face. "Mr. Fu, you are different from me. You're not just a man. You are a husband to Nancy, and a father to your kids. You have bigger responsibilities now, which can make you happy and even upset sometimes. Having this kind of life is troublesome. As a husband, I think you really need a strong sense of responsibility. For example, if you have a wife, you should keep a distance from other women. This is what a good man should do, and I firmly believe that Mr. Fu is a good man." As soon as Hiram his words, Charles sneered. "Well, Hiram, are you beating around the bush to teach me a lesson?" "No. I just want to remind you that Nancy is a good woman. If you lose her one day, you'll surely regret it." Maybe it was because Hiram had a good impression of Nancy that he got so worried about her when he saw the news about Charles and Brandy.
Besides, he liked Bobby and Nadia too. The kids were like rays of sunshine that could easily light up someone's mood.
"I have never imagined losing her one day. Do you think I will?" 'Nancy and Rick had a meal together and they even hugged each other, but I just simply let it go. Did she hold on to me when I drank with Brandy?'
If truth be told, he was just taking a revenge on her for being indifferent to him, valuing her career too much, and ignoring her family, and so on.
Was he wrong?
"Mr. Fu, Nancy is a gentle woman, but that doesn't mean she can endure everything. She is very ambitious. If you push her to her limits, she will really leave you..."
"Hiram, have you been bribed by Nancy? Are you saying she can do anything to me but I can do even the slightest mistake to her, is that right?" How could Hiram see his fault and be blind with what Nancy had done to him?
This made Charles glare at him furiously.
"Mr. Fu, what women can't stand most is their partner spending the night outside... Besides, you spent the night outside with a woman. Think about it. No matter what Miss Ning does, has she done such a thing with a man? What will you think if she spends a night with a man alone for a night? Will you not want to kill someone?"
While Charles was listening to Hiram, he began to twirl his fingers. To be honest, he had never thought about what he could possibly do if Nancy spent a night with another man.
After all, her relationship with Edward was more of a family bond.
There was a tacit understanding between Nancy and Edward, and no one would touch that bottom line.
As for other men, Nancy had never done anything like that with them.
But if she did drink with a man overnight...
As if he could imagine it, Charles' face darkened. He thought he would kill that man right on the spot!
"I can see from your face that you are extremely angry. Mr. Fu, you can imagine how desperate Miss Ning was when she saw you drinking with Brandy in the bar and spending the night together. She was tires, in despair and even more disgusted..."
The pen Charles was holding fell on the floor abruptly.
"You know that I am right; that's why you became nervous and scared. It means you love Miss Ning. Two people who love each other should stick together, instead of suspecting and torturing each other." Hiram bent down and picked up the pen.
With a scowl on his face, Charles took back the pen from Hiram's hand. "You've already said too much. I'm just afraid that Nancy and Rick will be together. I haven't figured out their relationship yet. How do you know?"
"Well, I advise you not to keep guessing the relationship between Rick and Miss Ning. You'd better think more about how to make her believe that you and Brandy just drank and nothing else happened..." "Nothing happened..."
"It doesn't work if you tell me this. You have to make Miss Ning believe..." "Brandy said she would help me explain to Nancy. I
believe that she won't think too much..." There was nothing more important for Charles than what Nancy thought. That was why he panicked when he saw Brandy standing in front of his bed this morning. "She will. Trust me. Well, I have said what I should say to remind you. Now it's time for you to think it over. I hope you can pick up the children this afternoon, or you and Miss Ning go together to pick up the children, so as to create an opportunity for yourself to explain. Don't let the conflict between you two get deeper and deeper. It's not good for the children." After saying that, Hiram turned around and walked out of the office.
As soon as door closed, Charles threw the pen he was holding.
"Hiram, I don't need you to teach me a lesson. I always know what to do and why... I..." he roared.
