Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love

Chapter 667 It's Hard Not To Know

The fall almost made Jay hurt himself, but it was the least of his concern. He looked around to check if anyone noticed him. When there was none, he gathered all his courage and went upstairs. But he didn't expect that he would be caught by Pam.

Since Pam had been in the business circle for so many years, she knew who Jay was. Although she didn't have much interaction with him, it was impossible not to know such prominent businessmen like Charles and Jay.

Even so, because of Eva's car accident, Pam could only feel nothing but hate towards Jay.

"Jay?" Pam was still shocked to see Jay who dropped from the skies at her home.

As soon as Pam appeared in front of him, Jay explained, "Auntie, I keep coming back but you won't open your door for me. You even asked someone to water me, and let the dogs chase me, so I sneaked in this time. I just wanted to talk to Eva. I swear I will leave immediately."

However, Pam wanted to kill Jay. How could she allow Jay to talk to Eva after all that happened?

Turning a deaf ear to his explanations, Pam shouted, "Guards, catch this thief! I'll call the police right now."

It was Jay who intruded by climbing the wall, so he could be regarded as a thief, right? She wondered what their bodyguards were doing downstairs.

Did they just let Jay come in easily like this?

How could Jay come in swaggeringly?

The truth was, Jay just waited for the right timing. When the bodyguards patrolled over, that was the time he entered the house. Fortunately, the door wasn't locked. Otherwise, he couldn't go upstairs. Jay thought that as long as he reached Eva's room, Pam wouldn't do anything to him even if he was caught.

Therefore, he was really shocked and anxious when Pam mentioned the police.

"Aunt, I'm not a thief. I didn't come here to steal anything. I just want to have a look at Eva." Then Jay turned to Eva who was obviously shocked to see him. "Eva, say something. I just want to hear your voice, so I'll know if you're feeling well or not. Say something."

However, she seemed to be stuck in a dream as she stared at Jay. 'What on earth happened?

Is Jay here?

Is it true or am I dreaming?'

Because in the countless days and nights she had been sleeping, Jay was often in her dreams.

Everyone thought that she was in a vegetative state, but she wasn't. She had a feeling, but she just couldn't open her eyes or speak. She couldn't tell what was dream and what was real.

All of a sudden, he appeared right in front of her without any warning. It was too unexpected that it made Eva so nervous. She stared at everything in front of her, dumbfounded.

When she finally convinced herself that the man who was trying to get close to her was really Jay, he was already dragged by the bodyguards downstairs.

"Mom, don't drive Jay away. He likes me and I like him too," Eva stammered.

Hearing this made Pam's heart ache as if a knife pierced straight into it. Her daughter had no idea that the man in front of her was no longer the Jay he used to be. It had been a long time, and Jay had already been married and had his own child. Only Eva didn't change over the years.

Therefore, Pam madly ordered the bodyguards to drive Jay out and release the Tibetan mastiff.

This was the reason why Jay fled awkwardly. Not long after he ran out of the gate, he was caught by the police and was taken to the police station.

For Charles to understand why Pam couldn't grant his request, she briefly told him what happened last night.

What else could Charles say? Through his conversation with Pam, he had already felt the helplessness and sadness of a mother, as well as the unconcealed despair.

And all this was indeed related to Jay.

When the accident happened, Charles heard that Pam went to the Fang family to make trouble but Jay was still underage. Even if the accident happened while Eva was on her way to meet him, his only fault was that he asked Eva out.

The truck driver was mainly at fault. He drove after drinking and collided into the taxi which Eva was in. The taxi driver died on the spot, while she was in this state.

To compensate, the Fang family offered a large amount of money but Pam didn't agree. As the time went by, things gradually subsided. Charles heard that Pam had chosen to compromise.

As for the truth, he didn't know. So Charles really felt that there was nothing he could do to help.

On the one hand, Eva was kind and innocent; on the other hand, Pam was sad; on the other hand, it was his good friend, Jay.

All Charles could do was hope that every one of them would heal from the pain of the past.

If these three people were separated from one another, they would be all good.

On the contrary, as long as Pam met Jay, she became the most terrible woman in the world.

Looking at Charles who was standing on the stairs, Pam asked, "Mr. Fu, would you like to stay a little longer?"

It seemed like he wanted to say something but stopped on a second thought. Even so, she knew what he wanted to say. They said, 'Time heals all wounds', but time didn't make her pain and hatred disappear.

Until now, she still couldn't let it go.

After all, if it weren't for Jay, she and Eva would have been so happy by now. It was his fault that Eva's life was ruined.

In the end, Charles just flashed a small smile. He had said what he should say, but obviously, Pam didn't want to do his favor.

Right, in Pam's world, her daughter was the most important. Her daughter was irreplaceable.

The money, fame and fortune might be just for Eva's sake. Pam had been waiting for her daughter to wake up all this time!

'You are such a bastard, Jay!' Charles cursed in his heart.

There was nothing left for Charles to say to make her forgive Jay, because he knew that once people did something wrong, they had to pay the price and accept the punishment. Therefore, no matter how bad the punishment was awaiting for Jay, he had to accept it.

"I have a meeting today. Mrs. Su, I'm sorry for bothering you. As for Jay..." His mouth opened to say something, but no words came out.

As he thought of the words to say, Pam looked at him indifferently.

After a short pause, Charles finally said, "Goodbye, Mrs. Su."

"Thank you for visiting my daughter. Take care." They were both silent when Pam escorted him out.

With a heavy heart, Charles drove away.

While he was driving, he received a call from the same number Jay used earlier, so he knew it was him, but Charles didn't answer it.

For several times in a row, Jay tried to call him, but the result was just the same.

"The phone is ringing. Why is Charles not answering it?" This had never happened before. What was wrong with Charles today? What happened?

The police took his phone away and said, "Mr. Fang, I think Mr. Fu went to Su family for nothing this time. He's not answering your call because things didn't go as you expected."

"Really? Pam didn't give Charles a face?" Jay asked in disbelief.

The policeman shrugged. "Otherwise, why didn't Mr. Fu answer your call?"

"He didn't answer my call because... Maybe he's driving or he didn't hear the phone ring, or for some other reason?" At this moment. Jay wasn't sure if he was convincing the police office or himself. The police sighed helplessly. "No matter what the reason is, Pam won't let you go. Mr. Fang, please stay here."

"Here?" With a hint of disgust in his eyes, Jay looked around. "I have to stay here longer? When do you want to release me?"
