Sweet Twins Indulge in Daddy's Love

Chapter 669 Other Women

As soon as Hiram walked to the corridor, he stopped and smiled. Charles was a conceited man, so it was not surprising that he got mad after Hiram pointed out his mistakes. His towering pride wouldn't be able to accept it. Otherwise, he was not the man that Hiram knew.

However, as his friend for so many years, Hiram had to remind him. It was mainly because the children were the ones that would get hurt if Charles and Nancy's quarrel went on.

Besides, he thought Brandy was not a suitable woman for Charles. In Hiram's opinion, there was only one woman in the world who was perfectly matched with Charles, and that was Nancy.

Charles grabbed a document to keep him occupied, but his mind was still full of what Hiram said. In the end, he just randomly signed it and closed it in annoyance. Then he stood up to get himself a glass of re wine from the wine cabinet.

But even after drinking two glasses of wine, he was still furious, and even more depressed.

Therefore, he lit up a cigarette and took a drag. The room was in a mess because of drinking and smoking, but Charles, who was a neat freak, didn't seem to care about his surrounding at this moment.

It was not until it was time to pick up the children that Charles grabbed his coat and hurried out.

On the contrary, Nancy had a good day. The good thing about her was that she could be absolutely focused on the surgery for the children. During the surgery, she only thought of the patients and nothing else: no matter how many problems she was facing in her personal life.

This just proved how good Nancy was as a good. After all, a good doctor must have professional ethics.

As soon as she was done with the operation, Nancy went to see Finn and then came to Nana's room in the afternoon.

"How is Nana?" asked Nancy.

"Not bad, Director Nancy. This is the medicine Dr. Rick gave us. I've been keeping it in my pocket all the time, so I won't lose it. Should I give it to you now?" The nurse took out a small bottle and showed it to Nancy.

After making sure that the pills were all right, she handed the bottle back to the nurse. "No need. Just take it. By the way, didn't Dr. Rick leave any message for me?"

"Dr. Rick didn't come. His assistant came on his behalf. He said that Dr. Rick might... He can't see you again..."

"Well, what do you mean?" At first, Nancy thought that Charles wouldn't be so heartless to make Rick lose his job like he wanted, but seeing the hesitation in the nurse's eyes, she suddenly became nervous. Did Charles really pull some strings to make Rick lose his job?

Did Charles really do that?

"His assistant said that Dr. Rick was fired by the hospital! He also said that Dr. Rick was locked up at home for a week. As for who did it, he didn't tell me. He just asked me to tell you to take good care of Nana. She is a key figure, and the case is more complicated than you think. I don't know whether there is any case or not, but I heard that it seemed to be very dangerous. Director Nancy, everything I said was true. It was everything he told me to tell you." Fear crossed the nurse's eyes as she spoke. She couldn't imagine if the same thing happened to her.

Seeing the fear in her eyes, Nancy patted the nurse's shoulder and pleaded, "Thank you. I'll be careful. Please take care of Nana for me."

"I will, Director Nancy."

"I'm leaving." When Nancy began walking away, the nurse suddenly said,

"Director Nancy, don't worry about Nana's safety. The police came today and said that they would take turns to look after Nana. I believe that with the police's help, she will be safe. Don't worry." Hearing this, Nancy turned around and smiled. "Okay."

Then she continued walking away.

'The police are coming?

Whose idea was it? I went to see Finn just now, but Colten was not there. Is it his idea?'

With this thought, Nancy took out her phone to call Colten. However, she hesitated for a while and decided not to call him in the end.

The police attached great importance to this case; Nana was the key figure. They protected her probably for the purpose of protecting the witness.

So Nancy should better not ask. All she needed to do was to take good care of Nana's condition.

When she looked at her watch, she saw that it was time to pick up the children. Nancy remembered that she met Hiram yesterday when she went to the kindergarten, so she was wondering if Charles would ask him again to pick up the children today.

As for Charles picking them up personally... Perhaps it wouldn't happen, because he probably had an appointment with Brandy today. Judging from what happened last night, the two of them would soon fall in love.

With her mind wandering, Nancy decided to call Hiram.

"Hello, Miss Ning?" The moment Hiram saw her name on the screen of his phone, he was definitely surprised.

"Well, Hiram. Are you going to pick up the kids this afternoon?" If he was going to, then there was no need for Nancy to drive to the kindergarten.

"I... Miss Ning, is the operation not over yet? Or is there any patient who needs you to stay in the hospital?" There was a hint of concern in Hiram's voice.

"No, I'm done with the operation. Otherwise, I wouldn't have called you. I'm wondering if I should pick up the kids, but I'm afraid that you'll pick them up... So I called to ask," replied Nancy apologetically.

"Oh, I see." After thinking for a while, Hiram realized that he indeed didn't get an order from Charles this afternoon, so he guessed Charles was going to pick up the children by himself.

It would be nice for Nancy and Charles to meet each other in the kindergarten.

Thinking of this, Hiram lied, "Mr. Fu and I have something to deal with. Miss Ning, please pick up the children this afternoon."

"Okay." As soon as the call ended, Nancy drove straight to the kindergarten.

Meanwhile, Hiram happened to bump into Charles who was coming out from the office with a depressed look.

"Where are you going, Mr. Fu? Do you need me to drive for you?" Even if he knew that Charles was mad at him, he still talked to him with full respect.

'Tm going to pick up my children. Why do I need you to drive for me? You'd better go find your woman!" Charles said crossly.

The tone of his voice made Hiram smile and raise his eyebrows. "Okay, you pick up your children, and I'll find my woman. Well, perfect arrangement."

Without saying anything, Charles rushed into the elevator angrily.

Then he drove straight to the kindergarten.

When he arrived at the kindergarten, he saw Nancy arguing with someone.

His heart sank at this sight. What happened to this woman? She seldom quarreled with others. Why did she quarrel with other people in the kindergarten now?

There were so many questions in Charles' mind, but he ignored them and rushed over to where Nancy was.

"I mean, you came to pick up the kids. Are you mad because Charles went out to look for Brandy?"

"Well, that's right. Nancy, you and Charles are not married anyway. There are many couples that break up when they are not in love anymore. You are not the only one. Why are you mad at us now?"

"Alas, Charles is a rich man. Isn't it normal for him to have women around him? Look at those rich young men. Every one of them is surrounded by a lot of women. We're just telling the truth and you're acting this way! Let me tell you something. Brandy appeared yesterday, and maybe another woman would appear today."
