Chapter 666 A Lovely Girl
It was impossible to resist a charming girl like Eva, so Charles glanced at Jay and said, "This girl is very nice. Will you send her home?"
"Oh, I'll be more than happy to take her home since you've interrupted us even before we could have a good time. Well, let's go." Obviously, Jay was in a bad mood after Charles suddenly intervened. Both Jay and Eva had no other choice but to leave the cinema even though they hadn't finished the movie yet.
Charles smiled helplessly and followed them out.
Looking at their receding figures, Charles thought they looked good together. He thought it might be a good thing for the two of them to be together all their lives.
A few days later, the news about Eva's accident broke out.
Of course, no one was expecting it to happen. Charles had asked Jay about it, but the latter only hemmed and hawed.
Somehow he felt that Jay had something to do with Eva's car accident, but he didn't force him to talk.
Eventually, Charles didn't hear about Eva anymore, because Jay stopped mentioning her in front of him.
It was as if Jay had never met Eva, or she had never appeared in his life at all.
Until now... One day Jay woke up with the news that Eva regained her consciousness, and the memories of the past flooded through him in an instant.
Never did Charles think that this matter would have anything to do with him, but Jay got him involved in such a difficult situation.
Looking at Eva's beautiful face, he didn't know what to say.
Although she seemed to be in a dreadful situation, she was quiet, and she looked peaceful as she lay down on her bed.
Did she know that the world had undergone tremendous changes over the years? Was she aware that the Jay was no longer the person she used to know?
After seeing Eva, he finally understood why Pam tried her best to protect her. It was because the girl who had been cut off from the world before was still deeply trapped in her beautiful imagination. Eva thought everything was still the same that she knew.
Thinking of this, Charles felt a pang of pain in heart and he unconsciously held his hands together. "No worries, Eva. I just came here to see you. I'm really happy that you're safe and sound." Afraid of saying something he shouldn't say, Charles tried to be cautious as much as he could. Did Eva know that Jay was already married?
Was she still expecting to continue what she and Jay had before?
Charles, the dignified president of TS Group, was a little sentimental at this moment.
"Thank you, Mr. Fu. Can I ask you a favor?" Sadness crossed Eva's eyes.
"It's not a big deal, Eva. Please tell me. I will try my best to do it."
The sadness in Eva's eyes disappeared and was replaced with her beautiful smile.
"Mr. Fu, please tell Jay that I'm fine and he doesn't need to worry about me. Besides, I have never blamed him so he doesn't need to ask for forgiveness. As long as he is fine, and everyone else is fine, then I'm okay." Tears began to well up in Eva's eyes as soon as she finished her words.
It turned out that she knew everything that had happened.
Even though Charles was not really close with her, it was still heartbreaking to see her cry at this moment, knowing all the pain she had gone through. "Okay, Eva, I will tell him."
"Well, Mr. Fu, as you can see, my daughter is in such a state now. Since I'm always busy, I can only ask the servants to take care of her. With her condition, she won't be able to protect herself at all. It will be too easy for people to hurt her, not just physically, but also emotionally. Her heart is fragile now." A bitter smile appeared on Pam's face.
At this moment, Charles understood Pam's feelings very well, because she was a mother. Her daughter was the closest person in her heart and the one she was most worried about.
It was understandable that she had to protect her daughter.
It was tattooed in Pam's heart and mind that all the tragedies in Eva's life happened because of Jay. It was reasonable for her to hate him.
"Mrs. Su, Jay also hopes that everyone will be fine," Charles said tentatively.
No matter how reluctant he was, he still had to say his purpose on coming here.
Their lives must have been hard, but Charles also had to express his appeal.
Otherwise, how could he explain it to Jay?
After all, Jay had pinned all his hopes on Charles.
"Mr. Fu, I don't mean anything else. I just want Jay to stay away from my daughter. You also have a daughter. Think about yourself. If it's your daughter, I mean if your daughter has encountered such a thing, what will you do?" As she spoke, Pam looked straight into Charles' eyes.
At the mention of his daughter, Charles' heart sank. His daughter?
'Nadia?
If Nadia has encountered something like what happened to Eva, no, I would never let Nadia encounter it.
If...if...
If this really happens, I will kill that boy.1
As if Pam could read his mind, she smiled. "Mr. Fu, I saw the hatred on your face just now. Now I'm telling you, the hatred I feel towards Jay is stronger than yours. Do you still want to persuade me to let Jay go? Besides, he came to me himself. I don't want to be against him. After all, he is the only boy my daughter has loved..."
Speaking of this, Pam shut her eyes closed tightly. What happened that night was still vivid in her mind.
Over the years, Pam had developed the habit of reading documents at night. As usual, on that night, she stayed in the study to read some documents.
All of a sudden, she heard a noise coming from outside. There were several Tibetan Mastiffs in her house, so Pam ignored it at first.
But when she began hearing footsteps outside, fear gradually crept into her.
It was because she had a rule that no one was allowed to enter the main villa after eight o' clock in the evening, and all her servants and men knew that. That was the villa where she and Eva lived.
What did the sudden footsteps mean?
Although she was afraid, Pam closed the file and walked out of the study quietly. It was then that she saw a black figure flash in Eva's room.
Pam was frightened to sweat.
"Who's there? Help! Help! There are bad people in our house. They seem to be thieves."
How did Jay come in?
After walking around the Su residence several times, Jay still didn't find any back door.
Without a word, Jay stared at the high wall of the courtyard. Then he noticed something at the corner of his eyes. When he looked around, he saw a ladder at the door of a shop not so far away from where he
was.
'Lucky day for me!'
Since Jay wanted to see Eva so bad, he dragged the ladder over and climbed up.
When he reached the wall, he tried to pull the ladder up and put it in the yard, but he realized that he couldn't do it with all his strength.
Even so, Jay was still unwilling to give up. In the end, Jay just jumped to the top of a nearby pavilion, which was the sound that Pam first heard.
