Chester couldn't help but laugh. "Working for William has taught you quite a bit. On top of being able to beg for loose change, you've also become incredibly shameless." When Chester wasn't watching, Louis tried to throw a punch at him. To his dismay, Chester managed to catch it.

Gripping Louis' fist in his hand, Chester said, "I used to feel indebted to you, but not anymore.

Get out."

He chucked Louis' card on the floor. "Take your filthy things with you."

"You'll come to me begging-I assure you. You'll soon realize that you need this money more than anything else. I'll be waiting," said Louis.

He gestured for his men to release Joshua. Placing his hands in his pockets, he turned around and stared coldly at Chester. "Do you really think it'll be that easy?"

"It's not like you're more capable than I am," Chester retorted.

Louis was furious. He scoffed and said through gritted teeth, "If you get on your knees and admit you're a loser, I might consider going easy on you."

Chester walked toward him but was stopped by the two bodyguards.

"Did you call for backup because you can't win against me in a physical fight?" Chester

mocked.

After that previous brawl, Louis was still recovering from his injuries. It hurt to even walk. His face stiffened as he replied, "Why would I waste my time fighting you? I'll only end up dirtying my own hands." Angelina still had to rest for two more days. Afterward, she'd be able to take her child-outside. She could go to the mall and shop in an air-conditioned building. She was incredibly excited.

She only woke up around the evening today. She sat at the dressing table and stared at her reflection in the mirror. Since she hadn't been in the sun for a month, her skin had gotten. significantly fairer than before. After stretching, she was going to head to the living room when she overheard people talking

outside.

"Louis is definitely responsible for everything. Trust me," Isadora's voice rang out..

Emily frowned. "Louis used to be such a nice and honest boy. He was quite a close friend of your brother as well."

"We helped them in any way we possibly could. I don't understand why things turned out this way," she said.

Isadora snuck a couple of strawberries off the table when Emily wasn't paying attention.

David and Louis were never in the same league as Ches. They probably grew insecure as they hung out. Their ego got the best of them."

Before this, Angelina had wanted to go sit in the living room. Upon hearing all of this, she became slightly restless.

Was Louis the reason Chester had been working long hours and staying up late?

Later at night, she stayed awake and waited for Chester to return home. After reaching home, the latter removed his coat and went to shower. When he was done, he went to check on Catherine.

He'd just gotten into bed when Angeline wrapped her small hands tightly around his waist. Why are you still awake?"

"I can't sleep." Angelina pressed her cheek against Chester's waist.

He placed a kiss on the back of her hand. "Go to bed. You should get enough rest. How's your wound?"

"It's doing a lot better. I can barely feel a thing. The doctor was really skilled."

Once he lay on the bed, he couldn't help but caress her soft skin. She lay in his arms and inhaled the scent of his clothes. He could feel her breath on his chest. It felt slightly ticklish. "Did you run into some trouble recently?"

"No."

"Do you want my card? If you really need the money, I can-"

"It's okay. I don't need money.

Chester was trying to lull Angelina to sleep. He was wide awake. He couldn't keep the matter at

He felt like a coward for making her worry when she was recovering from her pregnancy. He immediately got up and worked through the entire night. He didn't sleep a wink

Angelina got up bright and early. When she didn't see Chester in the room, she assumed he'd gone to work. She didn't know what to do. After contemplating for a while, she took out her phone and called Louis. therine had woken
