Emily was about to leave when she added, "Mr. Lodge, we located a suitable apartment near Glea College. Shall we move Ms. Torrey there now?"

Brian recalled what Ariana had said to him earlier.

"She keeps saying we're not engaged anymore and have nothing to do with me. Fine, take her away." "Take her away? But, Mr. Lodge, you..."

That evening, Ariana heard a commotion downstairs.

Just then, Martha knocked and entered.

"What's going on downstairs?" Ariana asked.

Martha explained, "Mr. Lodge arranged for people to move your luggage out. He said they've already found a new place and will take you there now."

"So fast? I thought they couldn't find one?"

"Well... I don't know either."

"Alright. I'll pack my own stuff. No need to trouble you."

With that, Ariana eased herself out of bed.

Martha quickly tried to stop her. "Ms. Torrey, you're injured. How can you get out of bed? Please let

me...

"No, it's fine. I'll do it."

Martha looked at Ariana with bewilderment.

Previously, Ariana cherished every moment with Brian and dreaded leaving. Now, she seemed almost eager to go.

"Alright," Ariana replied.

She wanted to hide the documents William had given her today. There was no way she could let anyone in the Lodge family discover them.

Martha left the room and sighed. When she turned around, she saw Brian standing there. Startled, she took a step. back. "Mr. Lodge."

"I told you to pack Ariana's things. Why are you out here?"

"Well..." Martha hesitated, unsure how to explain.

Brian sneered. "She knows she's really leaving, so she must be panicking and doesn't want to leave, right?"

He had already figured her out. Ariana was always someone who said one thing and meant another. Now that he was actually sending her away, she was probably desperate to stay.

"Not at all," Martha said awkwardly. "Ms. Torrey seemed thrilled. She even started packing her own things."
