Chapter 471
On April 11th, Coralie was admitted to the hospital.
The last time, when Coralie had given birth to Hendric, she was in pain and was alone in the hospital for three days. There was no one there to accompany her, and she was all on her own. There were so many times where she wanted to give up. However, she managed to push on when she reminded herself that it was her and Skylar's own child.
However, this time, it was different. Skylar had been keeping her company since the moment she felt the pain and he had been holding her hand the whole time.
Coralie felt tired and in pain for the whole night, but whenever she woke up from the pain, she would see Skylar in front of her.
He said, "Don't be afraid. I'm here. You can shout if it hurts."
Coralie felt so much strength in her at this moment.
She couldn't sleep for the whole night, and Skylar accompanied her throughout.
It was only at around 8am the next day that
Coralie's cervix was dilated enough for the labor. Then, the doctor sent her to the delivery room.
Skylar, Hera, Lillian, Wayne, Jamie and Hendric were all waiting outside the labor room.
An hour later, they could hear the baby's crying coming from the room. Everyone then knew that the baby was born.
A minute later, a doctor came out and said, "Congratulations, both mother and daughter are safe."
"Doctor, is it a boy or a girl?" Wayne asked a silly question.
"Are you stupid? The doctor said 'mother and daughter', so is that a boy?"
Jamie reached out and knocked on Wayne's head.
"Oh, yes, you're right. I'm confused." He realized that he had asked a stupid question.
"Wow, it's a little girl. I'm going to be a brother, aren't I?"
Hendric was overjoyed.
"That's right, Hendric. You'll be her older brother from now on." As he hugged Hendric, Skylar felt that he had fulfilled his dream. "Skylar, did you think of a name for the baby
already?"
Lillian thought, since it was her granddaughter and if they had not named her yet, it would be a great opportunity for her to showcase some naming skills. However, Skylar replied, "Yes, she is named Jennie Holland."
His son's name was Hendric, and his daughter was Jennie.
Lillian was a little unhappy about this, but still she said, "It's fine if you have the name ready. I thought I could name her if you haven't come up with one." After a while, the doctor pushed the baby and Coralie out of the labor room together.
"Coralie, how do you feel?"
The first thing Skylar did was to care for Coralie.
"I feel very good." Coralie nodded.
Along the way to the ward, the doctor washed Jennie thoroughly, and then carried out a check- up before sending her back to the ward.
By then, Jennie already had on a little pink romper and a small hat. She was adorable.
"Wow! A newborn baby looks so tiny!"
Looking at Jennie, who was only 50 centimeters long, Jamie wanted to hold her, but she was afraid.
"You can hold her." It was Coralie's second delivery, and it was a natural childbirth, so she could already sit up by now.
Jamie immediately refused when Coralie asked her to hold the baby. "No, she's too small. I might break her with my strength."
Jennie, who just came to this world, was very quiet and didn't cry or make a sound. She just looked around with curiosity in her eyes.
"I didn't know that she could be this small."
Skylar, who was standing at the side, let out the same sigh as Jamie did.
When Hendric was born, he was not by his side. Hendric was already at the walking stage when he first saw him. Therefore, it was the first time that he had seen a newborn baby.
"Skylar, shouldn't you, the baby's father, be holding her?" Jamie looked at Skylar's odd expression and remembered that he had never met Hendric when he was a baby. She then said it on purpose, "Bring her to me now. I want to look at her."
It was the first time that she had seen Skylar be so hesitant.
Let me do it." Hera, who had been standing
aside, said.
She walked over and picked up Jennie, then made a silly face at her. Jennie saw it and immediately smiled.
"Wow, she's smiling!"
Everyone surrounding the baby was overjoyed when they saw Jennie's smile.
Coralie went home 3 days after the delivery. Skylar gave all the servants a break, and only Clarice stayed. He also hired three outstanding nannies to serve Coralie.
During this period, Hera would also stop by occasionally.
For the past month, Hendric did not go to kindergarten. Instead, he had been playing with Jennie all the time.
When Jennie was awake, sometimes the adults did not have the time to take care of her, so Hendric would always go to Jennie, pinch her face and say, "Hello Jennie, I am your brother." Sometimes, Jennie only blinked her eyes as she stared at him. Then, he would say, "Jennie, are you bored? Would you like me to sing a song for you? Twinkle twinkle little star...." When the nannies saw that Hendric was accompanying Jennie, they would always say, "Young Master, I'll do it, you can go and play by yourself."
However, Hendric behaved like a little adult and would answer, "It's okay. I'm her brother. She likes it when I play with her."
Skylar only allowed Coralie to feed Jennie and did not allow her to do any other chores.
After her maternity recovery period ended, the wedding dress designer finally brought her wedding gown to the house.
"President Holland, Mrs. Holland, please take a look. This dress is made according to the previous designs. Please take a look and if you have any suggestions, we'll modify it as soon as possible." It was already less than 20 days away from the wedding.
All these items had been handmade, so any modifications would take some time.
Coralie looked at the gorgeous gown in front of her, as well as some matching hairpins. She felt as if she had traveled back in time.
"It's beautiful. There's no need to change anything, I have no objections."
She felt that she would be too picky if she still required any changes.
The designer breathed a sigh of relief after hearing Coralie's words. Compared to the bride's clothes, the groom's suit was much simpler. It would be a lot easier to modify it.
The designer then asked Skylar, "Then do you have anything in mind, President Holland?"
"No, you may take it back and bring it to the wedding on the day itself."
Skylar was a simple man, so he didn't have any requirements for weddings. As long as Coralie was happy, he was fine with everything.
"Alright."
The designer quickly packed up the two sets of clothes, the jewelry and bags, and left.
The wedding took place on the 31 st of May.
In the morning, Coralie and Skylar went to the hotel where the wedding was going to be held, and they headed into two separate rooms to change. Coralie had three makeup artists following her. From changing clothes, to hair styling and makeup, it took more than three hours for her to be done. Knock, knock!
Just as everything was done, someone knocked on the door of the dressing room.
Xenia, who had also changed into bridesmaid's clothes, stretched her head in and asked, "Are you ready? The most beautiful bride, the emcee said the time is almost up." "I'm ready."
Coralie held her complicated hair accessories with one hand, and stood up with the help of her other hand. Upon seeing this, Xenia quickly came over to help her.
The gown was heavy, so Coralie walked slowly with Xenia's help.
"Coralie, you look stunning today. I have decided that I want a traditional wedding too." As Xenia looked at Coralie's swaying footsteps, she decided that she liked this very much.
