Unknown Magic (3)

Chapter 19.1

I was trying to figure out what was happening, as I didn’t think it was possible to be caught off guard.

Wolf’ I thought.

Though we weren’t given time to reply as they were already attacking us. A woman jumped me though of course I was able to stop her. By throwing up my sword and blocking her blow, the metal blunted against my skin and quickly I kicked her away with a scream of pain from her. Making her lose the balance and land onto butt.

Earth, tie down the woman, instantly, roots and vines come around her wrists and ankles binding her to the ground. I looked back and saw Wolf and saw he was surrounded by three men and he would transform. Emily had sprinted to where the dragons were already fending off the attackers with the help of Damon. And Thuse was flawlessly hitting away a male and female as if they were nothing to him.

Problem is, we had no time for this as I suddenly noticed a tree dying only to have a change events follow behind it. Slowly now we were surrounded by dead trees. Either they die fast or in-balance is definitely taking a harder impact then we thought.

Air come,

I spoke, “Stop and listen to me” I hollered loud enough to shake the trees around us. Everyone stopped and looked at me bewildered except Wolf as he knew what to already expect from my powers. Upon everyone one woman spoke from everyone else.

“What? Why stop?” she demanded.

I spun to her and lifted my, hands in way to show we were no threat to you, as I had already dropped my blade.

“My husband and my friends mean you no harm, we do not have anything valuable, we are just wanting to get out and continue on our journey,” I tried speaking every word slowly and carefully, “we just need to keep having moving as we cannot waste any more time.” I pleaded.

A male joined the woman and gave her a look that only show they communicate through thought.

“Why should we even believe a word you are saying?” the male heavy husky voice spoke.

It was Wolf who answered.

“Because we are not the beings you should be fighting in the first place. We are “he gestures to everyone, “trying to prevent horrendous outbreaks and bring balance back to life” Wolf said and I could slowly feel him coming my side as a protector instinct.

The woman narrowed her eyes, cocked her head as if she was studying me, seeing if my words were true or not. She gave the man a look.

“I am not buying it, something is off and they are not telling us why.”

The man nodded, “Attack!”

Just like that, they lunged at us, while I brought up my sword for defending. The woman brought up her rod and started hitting me overhead and under to try and under sweep me but as a trained warrior I was too fast for her.

I was able to get my sword, with it going up and down at the right time jumping high enough just so her own rod skimmed the ground barely touching my feet. She kept coming at me though I noticed at her breathing and bluntness feeling of contact of metal to rod, she was decaying a lot sooner the I expected. Though a thought came even though I did not want to do it and could see from a corner of my eye, back up was not coming.

Now was the time, dropping my sword, catching her rod resulting a group gasp from her and hand right hook into her face. Lights out.

That gave me enough time to grab my bow and wrap it around the necks of two back up goblins, swung them around and letting them slam into a fading dead tree as it crumpled along with them.

Unexpected I forgot my blind spot and guard for split second and beefy arms came around my neck and started choking me.

Wrong move.

I arched my and slammed my head painfully into his thigh swinging around giving me enough force to punch him square into the nose. A shriek come and he stumbled back as unexpected blood ran down his mouth.

The two backed up, people shaken from their daze came after me though I was ready till Wolf thought to me.

‘Asema end this now! we are losing precious time’ Wolf thoughts were very urgent.

The people were so close but Wolf was right every second right now precious and we were wasting it on these people.

Please stop,

As they shall listen.”

And punched down into the ground, from my first bit a force, knocking everyone off their feet except Wolf, Emily, Damon and Thuse who looked bound to the ground. Thuse though looked a little dazed from my effects. Even though they were trying to get up they were being knocked down and would only to stop when I called off the spell.

“We beg you to stop” I shouted and commanded vines to wrap around them hoping it would give them a sense of what power and how much power I have.

A realization come over one of them, as they screamed “Oh my to the power of the gods.” I spun my head to Wolf as that is where the voice came and another shouted.

“What?”

The woman’s eyes trained on me though I am pretty sure it was because she could not break eye contact with me.

“The most powerful immortal in the world, and well known Lycan… Asema Darksky and Hunter Forest Alpha Wolf.”

To everyone else they all gasped. So, I decided to ease up the spell but still have them bind by roots.

“Funny question” I started, “Did you not think it was that a Lycan was travelling with immortals on dragons.” I gestured around me in disbelief. I took in my surroundings and looked at them all. “Well?

They all gave a defeated look, showing their embarrassment, the atmosphere changed again while I looked around and my feet mushing around in dead leaves. It was not silent with only a elephant in the background shouting.

The people really dd not observe who Wolf and I were. I didn’t know whether to feel bad or disappointed in them.

“We sincerely apologize your majesty,” another woman said and I turned again on my feet to see it the head woman. I took a breath.

“Okay now made statement, will you leave us alone? We need to get somewhere,” my voice genuine.

They were still bound to the ground though someone who I did not fight spoke, surprising me a bit by the questioning in his voice.

“Ma’am, we will gladly let you go, as rumours are true,” he gestures to the dying trees around, “That the unbalance is becoming uncontrollable.”

That was one eighty of behaviour, but with deep breathing I brought my attention to Emily who slowly beings to tend her dragons. Calming them from the abrupt attack. All three still looked to be in good shape as they now begin to rise from their sleep.

“We are good to fly” Emily announces.

Wolf takes my hand, and slowly with his back to me pushes me towards our dragon while being in protective mode encase they attack again. We mounted and the dragons seem like Wolf suspicious of the foreigners. Eventually we got on.
