Unknown Magic (3)

Chapter 10

Another alliance has been set and I could feel Wolf uneasiness about it but I sent a warmth to him letting him know everything was going to be okay, and that I would be beside him no matter what. The small pack came but left the next day but studied our children from afar as seeing hybrid children was a rarity. But they felt letting us know if we ever needed anything to call for them in the language, I remember Wolf gave Emily if she was ever in trouble.

Since our visitor came and went, Wolf suggested for the mid-morning if anyone wanted to go running, then they were welcomed to join. Wolf and I as we now were trekking through the trees. I sat on and hugged myself to Wolf fur, as he navigated through the territory we own. The wind caressing my skin was a nice change compared to the heat that now seemed to be fading even though fall was far from starting. But doing this was a mindless thing. That somehow kept my head clear as I am sure it did for Wolf that is till my vision clouded again and I was no longer on Wolfs back but seeing a endless row of feet dashing through a open field into trees. I wasn’t sure what was happening but the colour badge of red caused my skin to go cold.

It looks like another attack from the red warriors or we call them monsters. Another attack was going to happen again. This time I paid attention to detail. It was dark of course with not much help to find out detail, but did indicate from a sight of trees a opening closer to a river that it would be small village. But where?

My skin went cold again, and fear ripped through me, a human village, I thought as I saw the reds lung at people and stabbing their fangs into necks, next to came painful shrieks and wondering what is happening.

When I demanded my thought, give me something! And so it did, a unknown town in the northern UK. This is where we needed to go and now.

I gasped as I returned back to the present clutching tightly onto Wolf who slowed to a trot and I saw we returned to our village. Immediately hopped off Wolf’s back and saw before my eyes, blue light around him to now he was human form.

But I darted my eyes at him in urgent message, as I already headed to our home. Wolf followed behind knowing I had a vision.

“I received a warning, another battle is going to take place, the red immortals are going to attack a human village is off the coast of Canada, we need to leave now.”

Wolf did not say anything in reply but just followed me to our house where I already began to bark orders at the kids to move. Fear was already setting on me as I was scared that we may be to late, but I am hopeful wanting to be there before anything. Protect these humans at my cost. Making our world stay secret, to them or worst-case scenario we form a forced alliance that could be jagged rocks against us. I hoped it didn’t come to that.

Time now was passing by and I only just noticed that we arrived at Pacific Rim carrying my children and their bags. The hot summer sun pounded heat on to us but did not slow us down. We arrived at the residence and already the children knew the drill. A I hated that, because it was admitting we left a lot but rarely.

I left a note in the kitchen and living room, while Junior and Alice ran up to their assigned rooms. I made my way over to the hologram messenger and dialed Madam. Who head popped up a moment later. Concerned but acknowledgement spread through her face, but quickly nodded, “I will be right over” and hung up.

I began to quicken my pace clicking the tiles, we needed weapons next and needed to inform Brock and yet we were wasting precious time. How stupid was I not to search for when the attack would happen.

Exited out of the house and the hum of the city filled my ears. I never noticed it till now.

“I informed the pack, a few of them will meet us there, we just need to get weapons and inform Brock.” Wolf voice behind, giving me the information, I needed to know.

We set for the direction for the armoury and I just hoped when we reached the portal we are ahead of the vision. But I took a breath, yes of course we would reach in time, Red Immortals walk in darkness and the daylight showed time is on our side, when we met up with Brock who was headed for the academy building. He listened and immediately gathered his own warriors and went straight to the armoury with us.

I only strapped on my thigh dagger and leather band that contained my arrows for my bow. While others grabbed their own weapons and I began to scurry everyone out, hurrying them to the docks as we needed to get a move on. Our boats were faster than a human boat but we shouldn’t just stand around and just talk.

Brock and Wolf didn’t miss my anxiety of anticipation and Wolf assured me to stay calm while Brock began to command his warriors to get a move on.

Wolf and I arrived at our boat and a few other warriors around us started their boats engines. Soon we began in formation of a group floating across the water with the occasional sprays of water sprouting up. I stood Wolf as we steered the boat out into the open water and sent the coordinates to the others boats just in case we got separated when come to shore. Maybe that would give a better location, and we wouldn’t bring so much attention to ourselves When I looked upon vast blue ocean, fear and anticipation began to fill me
