Twin Soul

Book 3: Chapter 7 (3/9)

Anwyn still had an ultimate spell that she hasn't used yet. This ultimate spell was powerful enough that it could destroy every inch of her castle in an instant. Because of the magic barriers that Anwyn had casted to surround her castle the moment Kain flew inside. Those magic barriers could prevent anyone from escaping in an instant using magic spells such as [Teleportation]. That was why besides using [Thunder Step] to escape, Finwe wouldn't be able to instantly get outside of Anwyn's castle. Even if Finwe could somehow use the [Teleportation] spell of Thunder Magic, he wouldn't have enough time to teleport outside of her castle. Using such powerful magic on an Evolved Thunder Eagle will bring Anwyn great shame. Because of that, Anwyn didn't use that ultimate spell yet since she believed that she could kill Finwe without using it.

Anwyn then turned toward the black-hair Kain and said, "Sooner or later your Magical Equipment will reach depletion too. This battle will result in my victory, nothing can change that." Finwe and black-hair Kain then appeared to be worried while Anwyn laughed out loud in confidence. contemporary romance

Back to reality. Kain worriedly asked himself, "How long will Finwe have to play the mind game with the Devil Overlord? Finwe said the longer Anwyn sinks inside his [Duplicity] spell, the easier for him to successfully cast the [Deception World] spell on her. Isn't it long enough? Finwe said his [Duplicity] spell drains a very small amount of his mana pool per second after activation, but it has been twelve hours already. Does he have enough mana to carry this spell on for much longer?"

Not only Kain was worried about Finwe, but Finwe also worried that he would run out of mana before successfully trapping Anwyn in the [Delusion World] again. Anwyn's Magical Resistance rate was too high, much higher than Finwe had imagined. The good thing was that Finwe's Magical Penetration rate had greatly increased after his Thunder Soul upgraded to Delusionist Soul. This was one of the benefits of the Delusion Magic.

Finwe calculated his mana pool again and checked the current Magical Resistance rates Anwyn still had. He thought to himself, “Not yet, still too high. I needed to be more patient. She doesn't know much about my Delusion Magic yet, so I still have some advantages. If I fail, it would be much harder to trap her next time.”

Eight hours later, a total of more than twenty hours had passed since the moment Finwe casted [Duplicity] spell on Anwyn. Finwe could feel the frustration on Anwyn’s mind because she still hadn’t managed to kill him despite using almost all of her powerful magic spells. In reality, Finwe wouldn’t be able to survive against one of Anwyn’s magic spells. But inside [Duplicity], Finwe can shape the battle to his favor however he wanted as long as he can make it as realistic as possible to prevent Anwyn from knowing she had fallen to his spell.

As soon as Finwe saw Anwyn angrily chanting for her ultimate magic spell, Finwe thought to himself as he casted [Delusion World] on her. “Both of her Physical Resistance and Magical Resistance rates have decreased. Now it’s my chance!”

In the outside world, Devil-Kain had killed more than twenty Devils while Evienne was still being crazily chased by Imreia who repeatedly begged her to kill her over and over again. The five Devil Warriors that were fighting against the Ancient Vampires weren’t having any advantage either. The Devil Warriors have powerful strength and can kill at least ten Ancient Vampires in one strike, but those Ancient Vampires were instantly revived using Kain’s [Blood Extricate] spell. The Devil Warriors' stamina pools have tremendously decreased from reaching exhaustion. Regardless of having high Physical Resistance rates, those five Devil Warriors would soon get killed by the hundred thousand Ancient Vampires.

Kain checked his Blood Equipment and thought, “The good thing is I still have more than ninety Blood Equipment fully charged. Finwe, how much longer is it going to take?”

Right after thinking about that question, Finwe started moving and suddenly yelled out loud, “Now!”

Everyone in the castle could have heard that voice, but they had no idea who it was coming from since Finwe’s [Invisibility Cloak] spell was still active, cloaking his presence from other Devils.

Kain knew what Finwe meant by that, he gave commands for all of his conjured creatures to attack Anwyn using everything they have. Kain also flew toward Anwyn and fiercely struck his Magical Ice Diamond Spear into Anwyn’s head followed by the [Sonic Boom] spell casted by Lazela after activated [Mana Infusion] technique aiming for Anwyn’s body. Kain’s Ice Spear bounced back because Anwyn’s Physical Resistance rate was still too high for him. However, the [Sonic Boom] spell casted by Lazela using her full mana pool has broken through Lazela’s Magical Resistance but wasn’t strong enough to cause major wounds against her.

Finwe was busy locking Anwyn inside his [Delusion World] spell and couldn’t physically attack her, afraid losing focus would allow her to break free. Finwe yelled, “Kain, hurry! A minute inside [Delusion World] is just one second in the real world. You must hurry up before she can escape from it.”

Without thinking any further, Kain activated [Bloodlust] spells ten times in a row before casting [Vampiric Swarm] and flew toward the Devil Warriors and Devil Mages that were fighting with Devil-Kain. Black-hair Kain knew his [Vampiric Swarm] wasn’t powerful enough to kill any Devil despite casting it after being activated [Bloodlust] ten times, but it should be tough enough to hold over thirty Devils for several seconds. This allowed Devil-Kain to break free from fighting with other Devils to focus his attack on Anwyn. Devil-Kain and black-hair Kain used the same mind and the moment black-hair Kain's [Vampiric Swarm] flew toward the Devils, Devil-Kain stopped fighting with other Devils and flew toward Anwyn’s direction using his fastest speed while holding his fiery giant battle-ax with both hands attempting to kill Anwyn in one strike.

The result didn’t disappoint Kain, his mighty strength after transforming into a Devil was much more powerful compared to Lazela’s [Sonic Boom] after [Mana Infusion] activated. One powerful battle-ax strike from Kain and Anwyn’s body was cut into two pieces. Kain didn’t want to cast the [Carnage Inferno] spell afraid Anwyn’s body might burn into nothingness and he wouldn’t be able to force her into becoming his Soul-Bound Creature. Devil-Kain casted [Enfeeble] spell to further weaken Anwyn before cutting her body into ten pieces making sure there was no way she could revive herself after that.
