Chapter [55]
◄FACELESS►
It was at dawn when a memory of you and I sprung up. We were happy, chasing each other in our little makeshift backyard, trying to hang up our laundry, but ending up getting wet with our broken garden hose. The sky was cotton candy—a mixture of pink, blue, gray, and orange hues.
This was the most memorable summer of our lives.
The feeling of having you wrapped around my body still lingers, and the blush that made my cheeks extra rosy when we are at a proximity still involuntarily creeps in with the thought.
But, somehow, no matter how hard I try to remember…I can’t seem to see you. Your face turns into a blur the instant I look up.
How long has it been that I have rendered you faceless in our memories? It saddens me a little bit that I may never recognize you as time keeps passing by.
