Their Mate, My Saviors Chapter 80
-POV Malerie-
"Names?" One of the guards at the Eastern Boarder asked.
I scoffed and folded my arms next to my mate. How dare he ask us our names?! "If Charlie was an alpha, there would be no need for introductions!"
"But isn't he the Head Warrior? They should know who he is. Apparently, he really is as weak as you say after all. Even his own soldiers don't respect him." My Lycan scoffed. It seemed like she was starting to take my side more and more these days. But...maybe....
I bit my lip and glanced over at my mate in his clean-cut dark grey suit, dark green shirt, and crisp silver tie. He even combed his hair back. He does look yummy. Maybe I can keep him around as a sidepiece while I go find myself a real alpha to keep my bed warm. I'm sure he will be fine with it as long as I keep up this farce that I like him outside of his looks and...um...muscles. "Fenris." Charlie growled and the warrior paled before bowing profusely.
"I'm...I'm sorry Head Warrior. Wow..... This is the first time I get to meet you up close!" The kid smiled brightly.
Charlie nodded and pointed to me with his thumb. "Glad to see you are being strict out here kid, but these are my guests." The warrior's eyes glazed over for just a second, but I'm sure he's just screaming like a baby to his friends about meeting a ranked member. Ugh. Rediculous. I'm sure he would grovel at my feet if he knew who I was.
The warrior cleared his throat and stood to his feet. "You may go sir. Enjoy the festivities and welcome home." His eyes flashed at me then the backseat before standing back at attention.
"Wow, even your warriors don't recognize you?" Adolpha scoffed.
Charlie laughed lightly and leaned on the open window. Not at all caring that my hair was being blown all over the place. "I have over 800 men and women in my employment. I haven't seen them all and trust me, they have to be at a much higher rank than patrol duty to see me." I smirked and rested my hand on his bicep. Men like it when their women adore their strength. "Of course that's the case, Sophie. I can't believe you would look down at my mate like that when you don't even have one yourself." I snapped back and she whimpered while Charlie shook my hand off his arm.
One day he won't be so blah about my touch! I'll make sure of that!
Once we made it to the pack house, the decor was obnoxious! I cannot believe they did all of this for that girl. She's not even worth cheap balloons. "Alphas." Charlie called and I arched my back trying to make the best of this...disguise. Ugh! I'm going to make that witch pay for making me look this hideous.
"Hey Charlie." Edon said, patting him on the shoulder. "Good to see you made it back and you brought your...own guests?" He asked.
"Yeah, unfortunately, it didn't go too well with Malerie, but these three looked lost, so I said they could come with me. They are now my guests."
Edon nodded and smiled at us before bowing. "Cool." He glanced over to the witch girl and I noticed they were all wearing green and silver colors. Strange. "Enjoy the festivities." Edon called before jogging after his brothers, who didn't even give us the time of day. I sat towards the front with Charlie and many thought I was his date even though he told the alphas we were just guests. Sophie sat next to me and the witch sat on the other side of Charlie. He was so big I couldn't even see her around him. Either way, the idiots were none the wiser that Adolpha, I mean...Sophie and I made it in without a fuss from anyone. My mother was right. Absolute idiots. I looked around and saw Richard sitting further away in the back row. His eyes darkened while that glorified toy walked down the aisle with a man I'd never seen before, but he seemed to have a lot of her characteristics. Black hair, brown eyes, more of an olive tone to his skin, but the two of them had a lot of the same features. I glanced at her neck and it looked like Sawyer was right even though she went dark on us right after. Ugh! It's impossible to find good help these days. They really did mark her. That's why that stupid nightshade didn't work!
Unfortunately, since my ignorant brothers had already marked her...maybe we should have told that Richard guy what he was getting into.... Meh, whatever. If he doesn't want her anymore, I'm sure I can find a shifter that would be happy to have a little pet running around. Either way, she has to go and this has to work.
"Charlie?" I asked softly. He looked down at me and raised a brow. "Who is that?" I asked, nodding to the man now speaking to the Elder presenting the girl to her Luna Trial.
"Jasper Klaus Radavier of the werebear royal bloodline." The man said before Charlie could respond and my mouth dropped. The Radavier bloodline?! They were supposed to be extinct. Does that mean...? I looked at the girl and back at Jasper and completed this motion multiple times. Is she his daughter?!
"She can't be. She is human." Adolpha said through our link while she guessed what I was thinking.
I cleared my throat as the muttering continued throughout the crowd. I guess we weren't the only ones putting two and two together. Then, the Elder announced her trial beforehand and I was hoping it would be a fight with the strongest female warrior like usual, but to no avail. Now, I just need to figure out what this 'confronting her past' thing is all about.
The fairy bowed to her and then she got on her knees and the man kissed her head. A crushing power engulfed the area and, without thinking, we all bowed. The fuck?! -POV Richard-
I felt immense pain after the ceremony began. What the hell did I just walk into? Did my pet run away to some cult or something?! I looked around at the people and everyone was bowing. I think I remember Donna telling me something about this. Apparently, she was being accepted for a big role or something.
Ha! Absolute stupidity. If she wanted to play dress up, fine, but I'm over this. I slipped out of the crowd and disappeared behind the tree line next to the reception area. Donna was very specific with her instructions. She told me to stay out of sight until the reception, then take my prize. After playing with Tanya over the weeks, I got bored. She is terrified of even the slightest pain. I know she's sneaking out of the house to meet with those stupid girls as well. Donna tells me everything. It was fun at first, trying to break her, but I couldn't do anything with that woman. She even had the audacity to cover up her bruises and scars! Ugh. I want my toy! She's mine!
After a short while, I heard howls and other strange noises, but I continued to stay put. I stayed true to my word. Donna said this would work and I trusted her over her stupid daughter anyway. I'm sure that sniveling child of hers will find a way to mess this up. I should be keeping an eye on her, but I'll wait. All I want is my toy. All I want is Ayame.
-POV Ayame-
"Hello again." I gasped and looked around at the grassy planes I haven't seen in quite some time. Once I oriented myself, I attached the voice to the same woman...in my dreams. Oh Goddess...did I pass out?! "Am I dreaming?"
"Nope!" I spun around at the familiar voice and smiled. It...it was my wolf. Her gorgeous black fur and white and brown paws made me almost giddy. She was stunning. Aside from the paws, her fur was just like my hair. I may not have met her before, but I knew it was her. "Why can I see you...hear you outside of me?" I asked with a grin.
"Because child, your seal has been broken." I turned back around and another woman stood in front of me. She was the voice I've been hearing all along. It wasn't my mother, but she looked an awful lot like her...just like the fairy did.
"Please...tell me. Where am I? Who are you?" I begged, finally able to have a face-to-face conversation.
"You are in the world between worlds. The Land of the Spirits dear." She whistled.
"Okay...but why am I here and why do I keep coming back? I know I've been here before... in my dreams." I whispered, trying to figure out what the purpose of this place was. "I'm just a human."
"Not anymore, we aren't!" My wolf shouted with a confident yip. I giggled lightly. She does have a point. Once I accepted my mates, I was gifted my wolf spirit and I've noticed the difference over the weeks. I don't think I can continue to identify as just a human.
The woman chuckled and nodded. "No, you are not. You are now a werewolf and you will come into your own soon enough. However, my son locked away your memories and brought me to you when you were having challenges or needed to find your path, since the one laid out for you as a child was taken. That was the penance for his actions."
I furrowed my brow. "Taken? Penance?"
She nodded with a solemn look on her face. "Unfortunately, yes. To take away your memory, he took away your spirit. It crushed your uncle to do that to you, but now you are given a second chance. The Moon Goddess has shown favor over you and blessed you with not only one mate but three strong alphas that have given you the choice of which spirit you would like. To be honest, I was quite surprised you picked the wolf, but as your life progressed in the human world, your choices made sense. You grew up petite and nimble in nature, so the wolf was perfect for you. Now you can be the Luna you have always been made to be. You will protect your pack and grow stronger every day."
I waited for more, but she conveniently danced around the penance part. "Oh...I guess that makes sense and the guys have done well teaching me before I shift. Will it hurt?" I whimpered and my wolf nuzzled into my back, warming my soul.
"I'm not sure. You were born a shifter, so I guess it makes sense that this process should be quite easy for you. Just relax into it."
I nodded slowly. "Oh...okay that makes sense, but um...one more question." I bit my lip and looked at her from under my lashes while she grinned softly. "Uncle?!" I stumbled out.
