Their Mate, My Saviors Chapter 55
-POV
Ayame-
The guards didn't move to pull me away and the man hesitated before nodding. "I'm sorry you must see me like this, but nightshade will do that to a bear like me." He said with a shaky laugh. Wolfsbane for wolves and Lycans, nightshade for werebears. They are slowly...killing him?! I gasped in utter mortification. "What...how......how do I get you out of here?!" I begged and turned around to the men, throwing all my concern out the window. I guess when someone else is on the line, I tend to throw caution to the wind. "Please...please, what do I need to do?" "It's not what you need to do, it's what he needs to do." A man in flawless clothing walked up to the group of us. He seemed so out of place with his perfect golden locks slicked back with way too much gel, crisp blue suit and bright white shirt. He turned his glare to my father and the man winced. "Sign your right to the throne and I'll let you go! It's so damn simple! Your daughter is alive, so go to her and leave my kingdom alone." My father growled lowly as the man collected himself. "It was quite the surprise to find out him and his disgusting human mate were even able to conceive a child. Then he had the audacity to cloud your memories and your scent. Unfortunately for him, it didn't work."
"Wha...what are you talking about?" I asked, looking between him and the man I should know as my father. Every fiber of my being sees him as such, but when I try to remember his face, I still can't. I...I still don't have any memories.
"Let her go, I will sign my rights. I never even knew about my royal bloodline and I don't want it!" My father shouted.
The overdressed man clicked his teeth, completely ignoring my father and turning his attention back to me. "Jasper here is part of the Radavier clan. I feel like my family killed you off many generations ago, but it seems like one of their snivelling daughters lived and mated a human, just like your father had. You beasts keep popping up and I have to keep slamming you down." The sickening tone of his voice was not pleasant. I glanced around and I regretted it immediately. Half dead, and completely dead shifters littered the floor of each cell. I...I don't know these people personally, but I have a sickening feeling that it has something to do with his last statement." The kicker is, even when I found those little parasites, they all suppressed the bear gene until...." He turned and slammed his hand against the iron gate in between my father and I, startling my view back to them. "Until Jasper was born. Oh...we almost didn't notice, but the kicker is, some works of literature are harder to forget. Or should I say, they won't forget you?"
He pulled up a tatted version of the book Doc had given me and I gasped. "So...that book also tells you if there are any new living relatives?" I said in disbelief. I thought the triplets told me everything. I guess there are things even they don't know about.
The man smiled and his teeth lit up the mass grave almost too much. Even though I have never met him, this had to be Prince Chaz. "Does it matter?!" He snapped back and I leaned away in terror.
My father even tried to move towards me but the chains around his ankles and arms stopped him in the middle of his cell. "N-no...I'm...I'm sorry, sir." I said instinctually.
Prince Chaz cackled, and I flinched away again. "She's so...compliant your highness. It's almost unfortunate that you would...like to let her go after this." The main guard said suggestively.
Prince Chaz's eyes were on me even though I didn't dare to meet my eyes with his. "She isn't marked either. This must be my lucky day. I get the better of the Triplet Alphas, I solidify my crown, and I may even get a delicious slave out of the deal."
I shivered at the realization that he had to be talking about me. "That wasn't part of the deal. I thought we would be leaving with the girl when you were done with her. There are many others who would like her gone." Another man called from behind the Prince and I had a feeling who those other people were. That man was just the messenger. Oh goddess. Please......I can't go through this again. My body began to shake and the prince waited a moment before his laughter permeated the dampened walls.
"What better way than giving her to me? I'll pay whatever they are paying with interest. She's mine!"
Oh no.
-POV Edon-
The roars and howls of my brothers and I were there and accounted for. When the spell finally released the lot of us, we plowed through the city looking for her. When we found Emily half conscious with blood pooling from her side, the only thing I could think of was rage. Pure unadulterated rage.
Ever since our little princess came here, I've been flying by the seat of my pants. Ready to flip a switch whenever it's deemed fit. I can't see anything else but my hatred towards Prince Chaz right now. "Let me out of here!" I bellowed again, feeling the fear of our pack members while we were trapped inside our own rooms.
I don't know about Vil and Conri, but my room has completely shifted to shredded and broken furniture. Nothing like the night...she surprised me in here. The lovely memory that keeps playing on repeat every time I close my eyes. I collapsed on the floor while my bear still screamed in agony. "We aren't going to be allowed out until we get it together." Conri's voice rang through my ears and I rubbed my face from my forehead to my chin.
"This is punishment. I don't give a fuck. We have been in here for four days. The only person we have seen is Vince for our meals. I'm going to loose my shit! We need to figure out how to get our angel back!" Vil shouted, making my ears ring.
"I know, but we almost killed Emily because she wasn't able to protect Ayame on her own and she was already half dead to begin with! How is that fair? We have a lot of apologies to dish out before anyone allows us back into our roles. I know I wouldn't." Conri said in defeat. "Fine. Ayame first, bloodlust second." I called back.
"Ha! Good to know the bear's alive." Vil called with a chuckle.
"Piss off!" I growled back.
"Brothers, it's time. We need to set up a plan. Anyone have paper?" Conri asked. I looked around my room and shook my head.
"No, but I'm certain we can ask for some. As long as we stay calm, Vince, Charlie and Kyle should hear us out." I answered.
"Fine. I'll call them, but they've probably put up a block after we cursed everyone out two days ago." I could feel Conri's wince from here. I could feel all of our guilt.
"We need mate." My bear whimpered. Yeah...whimpered.
I rolled my eyes and nodded. "Right...a lot of apologies. Let's start with dad. He might have kept some connection."
"I'll try it first." Conri said, and went silent for a while. We don't know what he has or hasn't said to him.
Then, all of a sudden, my door was opened and Charlie was standing in the doorway looking away from me and at the room my brothers and I shared with our mate, not at all giving me the time of day. I took a deep breath and stood to my feet grabbing a bagel from my untouched breakfast. This was going to be a long day and I can't starve myself to death. I walked to our office, not daring to make a break for the first floor. Vil, Conri, Dad, Vince, and Kyle were all here, and Kyle looked pissed. "How do we kill him?" Was the first thing he said when the door closed behind Charlie.
"Wait, what?" The three of us asked in shock. I almost dropped my bagel.
"Aren't you pissed at us?" Vil asked, absolutely dumbfounded.
Kyle turned to Vil, then Conri and finally me. "I am, but I'm more pissed that we...we lost our Luna and it was our fault. I should have given her more guards. Even Emily won't look at me right now."
I winced and walked over to my desk. Vil and Conri were sitting behind theirs. "I'm sorry Kyle. We shouldn't have lost control like we did." I added.
Our dad chuckled, but the smile did not reach his eyes. "Oh please. I was completely expecting this. You three are some of the strongest alphas, if not the strongest alphas our worlds have ever seen. I'm more surprised you allowed your doors to stay in tact. We had to chain Conri for at least a day. His door broke immediately."
Conri growled and the eyes in the room shot at him. "You lock me in, I will find a way out." He said and the room instantaneously felt cooler than before.
"R-Right." Charlie said, clearing his throat. "Now, as per Alpha Father's orders, we kept our ears to the ground, figured out how Prince Chaz even got to her and subdued a room of men much stronger than him."
"And?" I asked.
Charlie sighed. "And it looks like the two men that disappeared were sending our back ups on a wild goose chase while a separate group of men attacked Emily and Ayame. From the witnesses, Ayame left voluntarily after Emily was shot to mitigate the risk of the men attacking anyone else. Before that, Emily put up a great fight. Once they led Ayame to the car, one man smacked her just for good measure. She wasn't even resisting."
The growls heard were clear. I know Kyle said it earlier, but that was just the peace of mind I needed. My brothers and I weren't the only ones out for blood. "Go on, Charlie." Dad said, gripping hold of the couch beneath him.
Charlie cleared his throat. "After that, they drove away in a black SUV while they left Emily to...um.....
"Just say it! They left my mate to die!" Kyle shouted. We all winced. While he stood to his feet and started pacing. "I need that bastard by the throat, Alphas. Please tell me you have a plan."
"We do, however, it is heavily contingent on what our omegas found out."
Vince stood at attention. Hey, we all take defeat in different ways. Vince, in particular, becomes a new kind of professional. He grit his teeth before responding. "The informants figured out how they found such powerful magic. There are those in the council that were helping them." "What?!" The room bellowed and my dad was on his feet and hovering over Vince in a second.
"I need names!" He shouted. His alpha voice made my Gamma flinch.
"Already ahead of you." He pulled out a piece of paper from his leather jacket and our dad snatched it from his hand.
"Ha!" This laugh was just as menacing as before. "Of fucking course!" He growled.
"Dad, give it here." I said, waving my hand towards him. He reluctantly handed over the paper. And I agreed with him. "Well, I guess we need to pay a visit to Zyair." I turned to Conri and Vil while they arched a brow. "All of them?" They asked in tandem.
I glanced back at the list and nodded. "They're all here." Every single name.
Conri grinned and his eyes darkened. "It looks like our little one has given us the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone." He growled.
"It really is unfortunate that they see themselves as so weak that they had to go to such measures to attempt to suppress their competition." Vil cracked his knuckles.
I rubbed my face. "It's crazy though."
The room fell silent. "What's crazy?" Charlie asked.
"If we didn't get it together, they would have succeeded."
Our dad whirled around our desks and gave the group of us a solid smack in the head. "They almost did! Now what the hell are you going to do about it?! I've raised better than this!"
Conri rubbed the back of his head before taking a deep breath and resituating himself. "Remove the threat."
"Good, and how do you plan on doing that?!" Dad shouted, making all three of us cower under the man that raised us. The man that we idolized.
"Smoke out the rat." Vil growled.
"Good, now get my daughter back." He growled and his reminder of complete acceptance towards our mate made our pride swell. But all that shuttered to a halt when a sharp pain riddled through my spine. My eyes grew and I slowly turned to my brothers. They both paled. "She...She's being tortured." Vil stuttered through the link and I froze.
