The Road to Rebirth Her Fresh Start and His Late Sorrow

Chapter 125

"What did you say?" Judson exclaimed, sprinting into the restaurant as Lenard's words sunk in. Inside, he was confronted with a horrifying scene: Lenard lay there covered in blood, while Potter looked ghostly pale.

Judson rushed to Lenard's side, grabbing his shoulders. "What happened? Do you know who took Nancy?"

Lenard shook his head, not daring to hide anything. "I don't know who they were. I was waiting outside for her, but when she didn't come out, I found out she had been taken. They knocked Potter out cold."

Judson's demeanor changed instantly, his face growing cold as fury spread through him. Without another word, he headed for the door.

Anyone who dared mess with Nancy was going to regret it.

Lenard watched Judson leave and wanted to follow, but suddenly felt dizzy. Luckily, Potter was right there to catch him, stopping him from falling.

Potter, still shaken by the dark intensity on Judson's face, took a deep breath. "Lenard, let's get you patched up first. We need you in one piece to find Nancy."

Lenard clenched his fists, about to respond, when his phone rang. He quickly answered, "Baldrick, I need your help. Nancy's been kidnapped. We need to find out who did this!"

Baldrick took a moment to process the information before replying, "I'll start looking for Nancy right away!" The car door slammed shut.

"Michael, I need to know who took Nancy within thirty minutes!" Judson ordered from behind the wheel, his voice icy with barely contained rage.

Michael, stunned by the news, quickly responded, "Nancy's been kidnapped? I'm on it right away!"

Nancy was abruptly awakened by a bucket of cold water splashed over her. As she blinked, she realized she was surrounded by cameras, her wrists and ankles shackled to the bed in a spread-eagle position. Her face darkened as she tried to steady her racing thoughts.

A cool voice broke the silence. "Awake already?"

Nancy turned sharply to see a man in a sharp suit sitting in a chair, flanked by the men who had abducted her.

Her expression hardened as she cautiously asked, "Who are you?"

"I'm Hackett, Lucy's brother," he replied, his legs crossed as he appraised Nancy with a hint of admiration

in his eyes. "Miss Nancy, you truly are stunning. No wonder Lucy couldn't compete."

Hackett-the notorious eldest son of the Allen family, known for his ruthless ways.

Hackett calmly met Nancy's scrutinizing gaze, lifting his chin slightly. "There's bad blood between you and Lucy. She's already been punished. Isn't it time to let it go?"

"Let it go?" Nancy retorted, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "You kidnapped me, injured Potter and Lenard. Is this your idea of letting it go, Mr. Hackett?"

"I thought you might refuse to see me otherwise," Hackett said, stepping closer to Nancy, intrigued by her defiance.

Nancy, filled with disgust, attempted to pull away, but Hackett grabbed her chin roughly.

"Call the CEO of Evergreen Global and tell them to withdraw their actions against the Allen family. Do that, and I'll let you go."

Nancy's lips curled into a mocking smile. "Hackett, even if I made that call, you wouldn't just let me walk out of here, would you?"

Did Hackett think she was a fool?

Ignoring her challenge, Hackett tipped her chin up, his eyes locked on her lips with a predatory look, and moved in closer.

"Are you going to make the call? If you do, I might allow my men to treat you—"

Before he could finish, Nancy lunged forward, slamming her forehead into Hackett's face.

Everyone froze, shocked by Nancy's bold move. As they rushed to restrain her, Hackett clutched his bleeding nose, enraged.

"You bitch!" he shouted, yanking her head back and slamming it against the hard surface of the bed.
