The Road to Rebirth Her Fresh Start and His Late Sorrow

Chapter 122

Despite all the chaos swirling around her, Nancy remained unfazed. She was completely absorbed in her collaboration with The Sandro Group and the NX Group.

The anniversary event for The Sandro Group was just around the corner, and Nancy, along with her colleague, Baldrick, was burning the midnight oil, tirelessly preparing their jewelry for the upcoming showcase.

Amidst this whirlwind of activity, Nancy managed to find a window to sign a contract with Potter.

Lenard, observing the worried expression on Judson's face, quickly reassured him. "Judson, Potter really admires Nancy's jewelry designs. It's just a quick dinner followed by signing the contract. She'll be back before you know it, two hours tops."

Judson didn't respond immediately. He just looked at Nancy with a pitiful expression, trying to win her over with his puppy-dog eyes. "Nancy, you promised not to leave me alone."

Nancy paused, her fingers hovering mid-air. "I never promised never to leave your side. Besides, you've been with me everywhere these past few days. Tonight, it's just about signing a contract. I'll be back soon, and I'll even bring you some takeout. How about that?"

Judson pouted, his eyes welling up as if he were about to cry. Nancy sighed, feeling a headache coming on. "Alright, how about you come to pick me up in an hour? Potter's meeting involves some confidential industry news, so he's not even bringing his assistant or driver."

Judson's eyes lit up immediately, nodding enthusiastically. "Okay, that's a deal. I'll come to get you in an hour. You're the best, Nancy!"

With that, he leaned over and planted a quick kiss on Nancy's cheek before happily running off.

Nancy was left standing there, speechless. Lenard's eyes widened as he watched everything unfold, taking a full minute to absorb what had just happened.

"Nancy, you've let Judson, that sweet-talker, kiss you? Are you falling for him?"

Nancy's gaze faltered for a moment but quickly regained her composure. "No, Judson's just a bit childlike since he lost his memory. He doesn't mean any harm."

No harm? Lenard thought to himself. Judson kissing Nancy might not be harmful, but it certainly wasn't innocent!

Despite his seemingly innocent demeanor, Judson was crafty and sharp-witted.

Before Lenard could ponder further, Nancy interrupted his thoughts. "Enough about that. Let's grab some food. Judson will probably arrive early."

Lenard chuckled. "I wouldn't be surprised if he's lurking around the corner right now."

Dinner with Potter was set at a nearby villa, just a twenty-minute drive away.

Just as Nancy and Lenard walked into Twilight Tastes, a black car pulled up outside.

The man inside watched Nancy's retreating figure, narrowing his eyes dangerously. "Lena..."

Perfect timing! He had been on the hunt for her, and here she was, as if she had just walked right into his hands.

With a determined look, he turned to his driver. "Get everything ready." This time, he wasn't going to let Lena slip away.

Unaware of the eyes tracking her movements, Nancy settled into the private dining room.

Potter, seeing Nancy enter, shot to his feet, nervously thrusting a bouquet of roses into her hands. "Miss Lena, welcome! I-uh, I got these for you. I hope you like them!"

Nancy, noticing Potter's flushed cheeks and stammering speech, cleared her throat, reaching for the bouquet. But Lenard beat her to it, snatching the flowers away with a suspicious look. "Potter, you're not trying to date Nancy, are you?"
