Chapter 14
It felt like it went on for weeks, but really it was just three days. When it was over I sat up and immediately felt a thirst. I then saw Harrison get up from the chair and hand me a cup. “Drink.” He said softly.
“Are you mad?” I asked. I felt like I was about to cry.
“Drink and then we will talk.” I began to drink what was in the cup, not till it was gone did it finally sink in that the cup held blood and that I was now a vampire as well as a witch and a shape shifter.
I began to cry. “I’m sorry, Harrison. I’m sorry.” He quickly took the cup and put it on the nightstand and hugged me.
“Shhh! It’s okay Jamie. It’s not your fault.” He patted my back.
“Does Jason know?” I asked scared of his answer. I was afraid of how he would react.
“No, he doesn’t know yet, but he is probably wondering where you are at.” Harrison replied softly.
“What about Alex, is he okay?” I heard footsteps walk into my room.
“I’m fine.” I looked up to see Alex. “I’m sorry Jay, I lost control.” I could see that he meant it.
“I told you to wait in the living room!” Harrison snapped at Alex.
“Harrison,” I put my hand on his shoulder. “It’s okay. I will be okay.” I got up off the bed.
“Jay, I’m not done talking with you. We are working on finding a way to change you back.” I looked back at Harrison.
“Do you think there is a way?” I didn’t know what to think by what he just told me. I didn’t know whether to be excited or sad because I just went through all that pain and I might feel the same changing back.
“Yes, and with Jason’s help we can get the items and change you back.” Harrison paused to read my face. “But you will need to tell him what happened.” I heard the door to the front of the house slam.
“You didn’t tell him to come here did you?” Harrison didn’t respond but the look on his face said it all. “What did you tell him?”
Harrison sighed. “You will find out.”
I walked up to Alex and whispered in his ear. “Get out of here, I will see you at school tomorrow.” Alex jumped out of my window and left. I then began to walk towards the stairs and then he was there.
“What is going on?!?” He asked angered. He then looked into my eyes, and his eyes quickly turned black; I’m guessing my eyes were red. “He bit you! He is going to pay!” He quickly began to race down the stairs and I ran after him.
“Jason, no! Wait!!!” I kept up with him pretty good for him having a head start. We eventually caught up with Alex. Jason quickly shifted into a black werewolf.
“You changed her!” He yelled.
“Jason, I said stop!!!” I yelled at him trying to get him to calm down.
“Listen to Jay, and calm down. I didn’t mean to Jason.” Alex said calmly.
“You took her away from me, and then you turn her into one of you?!?” Jason was getting more angry.
Alex laughed at him though. “I didn’t take her away from you, you left her all alone. I didn’t mean to bite her, but she is hard to resist.” He flashed his fangs.
Jason was about to strike when I quickly shifted into a white tiger and got between the two of them. I think all the emotion made it happen. I let out a big roar. “You two put aside your differences right now!” I yelled. “Jason I love you but you left me. Alex took care of me when you left. If you didn’t want this to happen, you should have stayed.” Alex and Jason were both quiet. I don’t know if they were scared or shocked because they both did not know I was a shapeshifter. “Now let us all go back to my home and get things worked out.”
Jason worked up courage to say something. “Y-you’re a shapeshifter? Your necklace shifted with you. How long have you known?” I realized he was right about the necklace, I felt it with my paws. It was now a collar, that was why the last time it was already there when I shifted back. It shifted with me.
“Harrison told me the night before you left. Now come on, let’s go Jason.” I said trying not to show shock about anything and walked with them back to my house.
