Chapter 92
Chapter 92
The debate on the Internet grew more and more heated.
Alexandra slept soundly beside Julian as if what was happening online had nothing to do with her.
The next morning, when Julian woke up, Alexandra was still in deep sleep beside him.
She had been lying in his arms for almost the entire night and barely moved.
The morning sun gilded the floor of the bedroom.
Julian looked at her sleeping face. Her eyelashes were so thick and long, and her breathing was even. She was frowning and Julian wondered if she was having a bad dream.
Julian’s throat became a little tight. He had the feeling that he would be upset the whole day if he got up without doing anything.
Therefore, before Julian realized it, his lips landed on Alexandra’s forehead.
When he came back to his senses, he swallowed.
He wanted more.
A kiss on her forehead was far from enough.
Julian bolted upright.
He was so ashamed of his irrational behavior just now.
“Did I just lose control of myself and kiss her?
“Am I out of my mind?
“What did I just do?” he thought in a fluster.
If someone asked if he felt embarrassed at this moment.
His answer would be yes.
Julian felt very distraught..
He got out of bed and went to the bathroom.
After Alexandra washed up, she hobbled out of the room and saw Josephine reading the newspaper in the living room.
“Good morning, Grams.
Josephine looked up and saw Alexandra. She patted the seat beside her and asked her to sit with her.
Alexandra felt a little shy at the thought that she had slept on the same bed as Julian last night.
She stole a glance around and didn’t see Julian in the living room.
“How did you sleep last night?” Josephine asked her.
Alexandra scratched the back of her neck, feeling that Josephine’s smile was a little meaningful.
She replied, “Pretty good. Grams, where’s Julian?”
“He went to work. Breakfast is ready. Let’s go eat.”
“Okay.”
After breakfast, Alexandra stayed at home with Josephine..
Bothered by what was going on on the Internet, she checked the school’s website and saw that the post was still at the the trending searches.

Someone was trying to find out who was the owner of the limited edition Rolls–Royce behind them, saying said that there were less than five people in the entire Highclere City who had bought that luxury car.
There were more and more posts about Alexandra.
Some people had begun to fabricate her background, saying that she had been dissolute since she was in the village and had once broken up the village head’s family.
When Alexandra saw that, she wanted to curse a blue streak.
The old village head of Costonshire was a good man. If he found out that these people were spinning up disparaging stories on the Internet, he would beat these people to a pulp with his walking stick.
The more Alexandra read, the angrier she got.
Someone claimed to have seen Alexandra squandering money on design bags at Jolie Center Mall and the cheapest one of them cost 600 thousand dollars.
As she scrolled through the feed, Alexandra noticed an account called Merry Keyboard.
It commented on almost every post about her.
That person ripped into every rumormonger in creative ways without using any propane words.
Alexandra chuckled as she read. Other than Emery, no one else would be so kind and have so much spare time.
Alexandra took a screenshot and sent it to Emery.
At this moment. Emery was sitting in Carson’s study with her computer, laptop, and tablet around her, bashing up those trolls one by one.
When Emery saw Alexandra’s message, she picked up her phone and sent back a voice message. [Alex, don’t worry! I believe that you’re innocent. I’ll stand by your side until this whole thing is over!]
Alexandra was so touched that she wanted to cry.
Emery was so nice to her.
She sent a voice message to Emery. [Emery, you’re the best. If I were a man, I would definitely make you my girlfriend.]
As soon as the message was sent, Josephine, who was beside her, asked, “What about Julian?”
Alexandra smiled awkwardly. “Grams, my friend helped me respond to those posts online. I’m very grateful to her.”
Josephine felt a headache whenever she thought of those posts. She said unhappily, “What has Julian been busy with? Why does it take him so long to settle this matter?”
Alexandra immediately said in a soothing tone, “Grams, Julian is busy with work. He will definitely get it settled as soon as he’s free. Anyway, these are just rumors. A clean hand wants no washing.”
Josephine disagreed. “No. I have to call him and give him a prod.”
Chapter
“Grams, please…“
Josephine called Julian with her plione. Before Julian could say anything after picking up, she bawled him out.
Julian was reading the stock information of the Connolly family’s company and his face turned livid.
After Josephine finished scolding him, he said, “Grams, rest assured. I’ll deal with it immediately.”
As soon as Josephine hung up. Colin’s call came in.
Julian checked the caller’s name and answered it. “Hello, Mr. McFadden. Are you calling to blast me again?”
“Mr. Ranford, don’t get me wrong. I’ve been attending a conference in the capital for the past two days and didn’t see the posts online until now. They’re total nonsense! I believe Alex is innocent. I’ve already asked the administrator of the school’s website to remove those posts, but the same content keeps being posted by new accounts. Mr. Ranford, you’re so resourceful. Please help me with it!”
Julian was surprised to hear that.
Colin must have felt guilty about Alexandra after the test paper incident and was taking the opportunity to make up for her,
Julian was not unforgiving and was grateful for what Colin had done. He said, “Thank you for your help, Mr. McFadden. I will tell Alexandra about it.”
As soon as Julian hung up, Marco came over with a tablet. “Mr. Ranford, the post is ready. Should I release it now?”
Julian took over the tablet, scanned through the post, and handed it bake to Marco. “Okay. Post it now.”
Soon, a post with only several lines appeared on the forum of the University of Highclere.
The poster was Alexandra.
There were two pictures in the post. One was a scan of Alexandra’s sprained ankle and the other was the doctor’s diagnosis.
The title of the post was very simple: I’m a Kept Woman Just Because I Sprained My Ankle?
That post became a trending topic within a few minutes.
The comments below it were of two kinds. Some believed that Alexandra was lying about spraining her ankle to cover the fact that she was pregnant.
Others were convinced and began to question the motives of the one behind the previous trending post.
Julian used Alexandra’s account to leave a comment on that post and pinned it.
[I know you all envy a genius like me, but what can I do? Turns out that being too outstanding is a shortcoming.]
When Alexandra saw that comment, she knew that Julian was behind it, because not long ago, Marco had come to ask about her account information on her school’s website.
“I’m a genius in Mr. Ranford’s eyes?
“How did he come to that conclusion?
“I’m a little fool,” Alexandra thought.
Soon after Julian posted that, a new user that did not even have a profile picture posted too. [One should think twice before doing something nice nowadays, because that may make him the target of internet trolls.]
