Seeing this Alexandra didn’t know what to tay

It was pretty awkward

Putting down his coffee cup. Julian leaned back in his chair. He narrowed his eyes and stared at Alexandra’s blushed face. “You’re not trying to avoid ima

anymore

Alexandra was surprised that he could read her mind

She said inwardly, “He is an old fox He actually knew that I wanted to avoid him.”

She cleared her throat and averted her gaze, but her ears were still hot. “You’ve already explained it. It’s a misunderstanding. It’s all in the past. Don’t

mention it! I’ve forgotten!”

Julian watched her lying and smirked.

Alexandra quickly took a glance at him and was caught in the act.

Julian’s heart felt soft. He thought of something and questioned, “Did you choose the Piano Department?”

“Ah? Yes!” Alexandra nodded.

She hadn’t told him about this yet. He probably overheard it when Emery was talking to her last night.

Hearing the affirmative answer, Julian was silent for a second. There was no expression on his face. “Okay. Keep up the good work”

Alexandra wanted to ask about the piano building, but she didn’t.

Julian didn’t mention it again. He thought of the farce this morning and asked, “is that boy your classmate?”

When he asked, he looked at the computer screen and seemed to be asking casually

Alexandra answered honestly, “Yes, we are from the same school. Ah! Mr. Ranford, did you know? He’s William Jolston, a genius from the Department of Mathematics and Science of the University of Highclere. He’s so smart a philomath.”

“Was she praising him now?” Julian thought to himself

He looked at her casually. “is that so?”

“Yes, yes, yes! I always admire people who study well the most!” Alexandra’s eyes lit up.

Julian felt that her reaction was too much

If she had know that a mere scholar from the University of Highclere could only score 74 points, she would have scored full marks after randomly doing

He wondered what she would think

He looked at her playfully and asked. “Do you admure or like him?”

“Huh?” Alexandra frowned, quickly shook her head, and answered firmly. “It’s just admiration I purely admire his good grades. Of course, the person i admire the most is you, Mr. Ranford! Not only are you smart, rich, kind, and handsome, but you’re also my great benefactor”

In terms of flattery, no one could compare to Alexandra.

Julian didn’t buy it. He looked up. “Don’t think this morning’s matter is over just because you said that.”

Although he knew she was pretending to be obedient, he still felt much better after hearing her words.

Hearing what he said, Alexandra immediately deflated again.

She lowered her head and began to dig into her fingernails.

Julian glanced at her, who pursed her lips as if he had wronged her.

Sometimes, he really didn’t know how to treat this little girl.

Seeing that she had seemingly admitted her mistake, he did not pursue the matter further.

Initially, he did not intend to blame her for throwing the cake.

However, he did not know why he felt somewhat uncomfortable since returning in the morning.

“Then what should I do? As long as my salary isn’t deducted, I’ll do anything!” Alexandra looked at him stubbornly.

Julian was speechless. “She only cared about that bit of salary.”

He moved the mouse and continued to work. “I won’t deduct your salary.”

“Thank you, hub…”

“You’ll have to pay for my clothes, though.”

Alexandra was unwilling. “Mr. Ranford, I don’t have the money to pay for your clothes.”

Julian retorted, “You spent 600 thousand dollars on the bag last time. Isn’t there still some left over from the one million that Peter gave you? I’ll give you a rounding error and count it as 400 thousand.”

Alexandra was left speechless.

Staring at him with her round and bright eyes, Alexandra finally understood what it meant by no treachery, no business.

It was said to be a collaboration and a monthly salary of 200 thousand dollars.

She hadn’t even gotten half a cent of her salary and was already spending one million!

Julian was simply inhumane!

Seeing that she didn’t say anything, Julian added, “Why? How about deducting it from your salary?”

Alexandra went mad. “I didn’t ask you to help me! You ran out on your own! Adults have to be responsible for their own decisions! I don’t want to pay!”

Alexandra was left speechless once again.

“Mr. Ranford, you’re a sly old fox!”

Julian’s temples throbbed again as he looked at her casually.

Sly old fox!

Alexandra was the first person to use this term to describe him.

“What did you say?”

“I knew it! You’re so rich, yet you’re always docking my pay! I’ve never seen someone as stingy as you! Sure enough, none of you are good people in doing business!”

“You don’t want to look for Ace Fulton anymore?” Julian was as cool as a cucumber

Alexandra was infuriated

She was afraid that before she could find Ace, she would be pissed off to death because of Julian.

Her neck stiffened. She picked up the coffee and tray she had brought in. “I’ll find him myself! I don’t need your help!”

Finishing, she left with the coffee and slammed the door.

Julian pushed the mouse forward, raised his head, and rubbed his eyebrows.

What an ingrate!

For the next few days, Alexandra ignored him.

At home, she was polite to Josephine and the others. She went to bed at 9 p.m. and woke up early in the morning.

Anyway, she didn’t want to talk to Julian.

Even if she saw him, she pretended not to see him.

She quickly adapted to life in school.

The welcoming party began with intensive rehearsals, so there were not many classes.

Martha had probably been busy for the past few days, and she didn’t cause Alexandra any trouble.

The school’s programs officially started rehearsing on the third day before the welcoming party. Emery got two admission quotas to watch the rehearsal and went to watch the rehearsal with Alexandra.

The rehearsal lasted until 7:30 p.m., which was an excellent time to go home.

Of course, Alexandra was happy to do so.

Emery had already gotten the program list. Alexandra saw that Kelly’s program was a piano solo, “The Lost Yellow.”

A skit was being rehearsed on stage.

“Alexandra, the host of the welcoming party is William Jolston!” Emery said.

“Oh, that William Jolston is wicked!” Alexandra replied.

“Of course. He’s so handsome and smart. Otherwise, how could Martha would chase after him?”

Alexandra was not interested. She took the rehearsal program list and asked Emery, “Kelly’s piano solo is the finale. Is she that good?”

When Emery mentioned Kelly, she was more or less envious. “Kelly is very talented. In the entire Highclere City, she is the best at the piano, beside Veronica Doherty. The Lost Yellow is very difficult to play. It’s the main track in Veronica’s latest piano CD. It’s said that she composed it herself.”

“Oh, Veronica seems to be talented!” Alexandra murmured.

Emery nodded in agreement. “Of course. She’s the same age as us, but she’s already reached the top of the world. Many prestigious families in Highclere City want to be on good terms with the Doherty family. She’s gorgeous too.”

“I see.”
