The Omnipotent Mrs. Ranford By Darlene Wright

Chapter 51

Chapter 51

“What’s going on?”

Carson, who had rushed over without knowing the situation, could not help but frown. He knew who was causing trouble at the very first glance.

Julian was obviously in a bad mood. He stared at Carson and asked, “Mr. Walters, did you hire someone to play a sideshow today? Why didn’t you set up a stage for this lady? Since when did the Walters family become so stingy?”

Alexandra rolled her eyes and wondered. “Was Julian speaking up for me? He’s not angry, is he?”

Carson smiled. When he looked at Martha, a trace of disgust flashed across his eyes. “Miss, do you have an invitation letter?”

Martha was used to being the center of attention and wanted to ridicule Alexandra and William originally, but who knew she would become a joke to the public?

Just as she was embarrassed, Kelly Gilligan and another girl came over.

Kelly was wearing a white traditional dress today. She looked like a beauty who had walked out of a painting.

She walked to Martha. When she looked at Carson, a hint of shyness flashed in her eyes. She subconsciously hooked her hair by her ear with her finger and bowed slightly. “Mr. Walters, I’m sorry. We’re all classmates. I think it was a joke gone wrong. Please forgive Martha. Don’t lower yourself to her

level.”

Carson looked at the beautiful and elegant girl before him, then at Martha, who was in a sorry state and blushing. He roughly knew that they must be the daughters of some wealthy families. It would be a lot of trouble to make a scene.

He turned to look at the cold–faced Julian. “Mr. Ranford, they’re all classmates of my sister. How about…”

Kelly took a step forward and stood in front of Emery and Alexandra. “Emery, opening a new company is such a festive event. It won’t look good if it blows up, right? We’re all classmates. We’ll just apologize in private later.”

In front of so many pairs of eyes, Kelly’s tone was gentle, and she was smiling politely.  sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ (ꜰind)ɴʘvel.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

Martha was furious inside, but she didn’t dare to say anything.

She could bully people privately but didn’t dare to act rashly in their territory.

Emery pulled Alexandra out and looked at Martha. “Okay. You must apologize to Mr. Jolston and Alexandra. This matter will end.”

Kelly quickly walked back to Martha’s side and pulled her forward. “Martha, apologize right now. We’re all classmates. What’s the big deal? You have to pay careful attention to your words in the future!”

Martha had no way out. If she continued to pester, she would only disgrace herself greatly.

She apologized reluctantly and left with Kelly.

As soon as they left, William immediately walked over.

Alexandra looked at Julian and was a little blushed. “Thank you… Mr. Ranford.”

Julian glanced at her and replied coldly, “It takes two hands to clap. Emery is your friend. How could you throw a cake at a friend’s family’s opening ceremony?”

Alexandra was speechless.

Then, Julian left without saying anything else.

As soon as he left, William walked over. “Alexandra, are you alright?”

Chapter 51

Alexandra guessed that Julian was angry again.

She was in no mood to talk to William, so she could only brush him off. “I’m fine.”

“I’m sorry for getting you involved,” William apologized with somewhat guilt.

“No, it’s all Martha’s fault.” Alexandra was in a bad mood for some reason. She sat down and wondered if Julian was angry again.

She had caused trouble before, but this time, she even caused trouble in front of him.

“Did he sound angry just now?”

Knowing that Alexandra was not in the mood to speak, William left with the excuse that he still had work.

Martha was wiping the cream on her neck in a break room outside the ceremony as she cursed, “Alexandra! I really don’t get along with her! The last time

I saw her at NEY, my membership was blocked for no reason! Now I have to use my mother’s membership card to buy bags!”

Kelly passed her a tissue and comforted her. “Alright, calm down. Why do you always have to go against a country girl!”

“Can’t you see? She was seducing William Jolston! She did it on purpose! William Jolston pretended to be noble because he was good–looking and good at studies. When seeing a two–side bitch like Alexandra, he showed his true colors.” The more Martha spoke, the angrier she became. Finally, she threw the tissue into the trash can brutally.

Kelly added, “In my opinion, what’s so good about that William Jolston? Besides being good in his studies and good–looking, what else is good about him? There are so many rich guys for you to choose from.”

“I don’t want to! I just like William Jolston! If I can’t get him, no one else can!”

Martha clenched her fists.

On the way back from helping Martha get her clothes, Kelly met Carson, who was on the phone in the corridor.

Carson stood by the window. He was tall and had one hand in his pocket.

Kelly deliberately slowed down. When Carson put away his phone, he bumped into her.

“Mr. Walters, I’m really sorry about today. I apologize on behalf of Martha to you and Emery’s friends!”

Carson had some impression of this gentle girl in a traditional dress. Just now, she had appeared in the hall to mediate. He politely replied, “It’s okay. They’re all young and impetuous. Naturally, they might quarrel…”

“You’re so generous, Mr. Walters. We’ll get along well in school. Don’t worry. Emery has a good personality. Everyone likes her very much.” Kelly smiled properly, her eyes staring at Carson, who had an indifferent expression.

Carson nodded absentmindedly. “Sure, thank you.”

With that being said, he turned around and walked toward the hall.

Kelly hugged the clothes and stood on the spot, thinking, “I must have this man.”

Julian returned to his company before the opening ceremony ended.

Alexandra did not see him even when she returned home with Emery.

She felt a little awkward and was no longer in the mood to stay at Emery’s house.

After this commotion, she had also figured it out.

She could not hide from Julian forever.

That afternoon, she came up with an excuse and went home.

Chapter 51

Before returning home, the enthusiastic Cecilia filled her backpack with all kinds of imported snacks until it could no longer be stuffed.

Of course, Alexandra did not ask the Walters family’s driver to send her home.

If the Walters family’s driver sent her to the Ranford family, it would really be hard to explain.

She could not let outsiders know about her marriage with Julian.

When she got home, she asked the maid about Julian, who had been working in the study all afternoon.

Alexandra thought about the mistake she had made this morning and felt somewhat guilty.

So she made a cup of coffee and served it to him.

Knock, knock, knock.

Julian was staring at the computer screen when he was interrupted by two knocks on the door. He knew who it was as soon as he heard the force and frequency of knocking.

“She finally knew it was time to come back home.”

He looked up.

The door was pushed open a crack, and a head popped in. Seeing that he was also looking at her, Alexandra blushed. She straightened up and carried the tray in.

Julian took a quick glance at her and continued working.

Alexandra knew that she had embarrassed herself in public today and was in the wrong. She had angered Julian once again.

Hence, she walked over with a smile and placed the cup of coffee respectfully on the desk. “Mr. Ranford, you must be tired from work, right? Have a cup of coffee to refresh yourself!”
