Chapter 116
Chapter 116
That innocent, cute, and adorable young lady, whose only flaw was that she was a money–grubber, had seriously been peacefully coexisting with such a serious brain injury?
Charles was silent for a few more seconds. As an internationally influential doctor in the neurology department, he knew the weight that each word he spoke carried.
The closer one was to his position, the more one would have to watch their words.
Charles said to Julian, “Even the best surgeon in the world wouldn’t dare to perform brain surgery on a whim. My suggestion is to wait and see if the patient is feeling unwell at the moment. If you are worried, you can also take her to Adanrica. I’ll give her a more detailed examination. However, I can’t guarantee that I can treat her brain injury.”
After listening to Charles’s explanation, Julian felt like he understood something.
Alexandra definitely did not know that she had lost her memory.
But she knew that she was sick. In that case, she had the memory of losing her sight, right?
Or her blindness had relapsed a second time.
She might have gone to a small hospital for a checkup, but the doctors there could not locate her brain lesion at all.
That was why Alexandra wanted to find Ace. She probably wanted to treat her eyes, didn’t she?
Was her world ever that dark?
In the end, Julian saved all of Alexandra’s medical reports.
He only left a diagnosis of menstrual pain and asked Frank to bring Alexendra some medication for it.
When Frank was getting the medicine, he thought that Alexandra would be hungry when she woke up, so he went to the hospital and bought a cup of coffee and a box of freshly baked egg tarts for her.
When Frank brought the prescribed medicine to the lounge, Alexandra happened to wake up.
When she opened her eyes, she saw Julian sitting by the side, and Frank standing nearby as well.
Seeing that she was awake, Julian immediately leaned over and helped her up in the bed.
Alexandra had slept for a few hours. Her head was a little dizzy, but she knew that she was there for a checkup.
“Mr. Ranford, has my checkup finished?” Alexandra’s voice was still a little hoarse from sleeping for too long.
Julian nodded and helped her sit up in the bed.
Frank handed her the coffee and egg tarts. “Mistress Alexandra, it must have been hard on you. Have something to eat first.”
“Thank you, Frank!” Alexandra was indeed hungry. She did not know what time it was.
She was about to reach out to take the food and drink when Julian did. He helped her insert the straw into the coffee cup and handed it to her.
Frank lowered his eyes and chuckled.
The boss was too good at taking care of people.
He had plenty of experience from doing it himself.
Alexandra was also a little stunned. She took the coffee and said in a low voice, “Thank you, Mr. Ranford.”
Julian sat back in his chair and watched Alexendra drink her coffee..
Alexandra took two sips and blinked twice. She realized that Julian had been staring at her.
She then looked at Frank, who was standing beside her and smiling at her.
She looked at the coffee in her hand and then at the egg tart in Julian’s hand.
Julian even personally fixed the coffee straw for her!
Alexandra’s heart skipped a beat.
Then, she pursed her little lips and her bright and beautiful eyes quickly filled with tears.
Seeing her like this, Julian suddenly became nervous.
Just as he was about to speak, Alexandra’s tears gushed down. She asked, “Mr. Ranford, am I terminally ill?”
Jullon was speechless.
Frank was speechless as well.
Chapter 116
Julian didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He stroked Alexandra’s head. “Who told you that you have a terminal illness?”
Alexandra was still stuck in her imagination. Her eyes were filled with tears. “If I didn’t have a terminal illness, why would you and Frank suddenly treat me so well? Am I about to die?”
The two of them were speechless.
Alexandra’s thought process was simply ridiculous.
Frank lowered his head and chuckled.
Julian caressed Alexandra’s head dotingly. “What are you thinking? Where did you get this terminal illness? Also, since when did I treat you badly?”
Alexandra sniffed and looked at Julian, then at Frank, who couldn’t help but laugh.
Only then did she feel a little relieved.
She didn’t feel so sad anymore.
Frank handed over tissues. Julian took two and wiped Alexandra’s tears.
Alexandra lowered her head in embarrassment, feeling dizzy
How embarrassing!
She bit the straw and sucked up a mouthful of coffee.
Then, she looked up at Julian.
Julian looked into her bright eyes and said softly. “You’re fine. It’s just because of the menstrual pain. I’ve already brought you medicine. Go back and take it for a month and let’s see what happens.”
Upon hearing about the medicine, Alexandra immediately frowned again. “I don’t like medicine! It’s too bitter!”
Frank said, “Madam, something that is good for you might not always be palatable.”
Julian opened the transparent box of egg tarts and said to her gently, “Ms. Rivera often prepares medicine for Grams in a way that isn’t bitter. You can try it.”
Alexandra remained silent.
She was clearly unhappy.
Julian handed the box to her. “Come, have some egg tarts, and rest for a while. I’ll bring you out for a meal.”
Alexandra put the straw in her mouth and didn’t want to talk to Julian anymore.
Alexandra rested in the hospital for a while before leaving with Julian
Frank found a restaurant with fairly decent food and booked a private room.
Julian handed the menu to Alexandra and said to her, “What do you want to eat? Order whatever you want.”
Alexandra was actually not very hungry anymore. Coupled with the fact that she had been unconscious for the entire morning, she was very mentally
tired.
She refused. “I’m not ordering. Mr. Ranford, you can order.”
Julian didn’t force her. He handed the menu to Frank and instructed, “Order a few dishes and let the kitchen start cooking first.”
“Okay, boss.”
Frank left with the menu and went to look for the restaurant manager.
Alexandra leaned Ion the table with her chin on her arm. Her eyelids were droopy and she looked listless.
Julian asked her, “What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”
Alexandra closed her eyes and shook her head. “No, Mr. Ranford. I just feel so tired. I feel like the inspection device killed many of my cute little cells.”
Julian couldn’t help but smile and stroked her head. “Then go back and sleep after dinner.”
“Okay” Alexandra continued to keep her eyes closed.
After dinner, Frank drove Alexandra back to Tropical Lagoon Residences.
As soon as they returned home, Josephine hurriedly came out to welcome them. She held Alexandra’s hand and asked her, “How was it, Alexandra? What did the doctor say?”
“Grams, it’s fine. It’s not serious. The doctor said that I just have some menstrual pains. I got some medicine, Alexandra said to Josephine with a
smile.
Julian put the bag of medicine on the coffee table and said to Josephine, “Grams, it’s nothing serious. Don’t worry.”

“It’s good that you’re fine, it’s good that you’re fine,” Josephine repeated.
Julian glanced at Alexandra and said to Josephine, “Grams, you all rest. I’m going to the office.”
Josephine waved her hand, finding him naggy. “Alright, go get busy! Leave Alexandra to me! I’ll call Ruth and ask her to come over later. I’ll prepare
medicine for Alex now.”
Alexandra was extremely touched.
She turned around and waved at Julian. “Then go to the office! Sorry to trouble you this morning!”
Josephine patted Alexandra’s little hand as a way of scolding her. “Why are you talking to your own husband about giving him trouble? Who else could you trouble if not him?”
