The Nymph of Black Forest

I am livid! I asked “Can I handle it?” Derek said “That might be best! I will probably go straight for her throat!” Monty says “I gotta ask, Luna. Do you name the creatures you talk to?” I look at him…”The fuck? Do you just pluck random shit out of your head to confuse me?” Everyone laughed but I’m serious! He said “Nooo? I really am curious though. Micah Mouse..Owen Osprey… Robbie Rabbit.. Baker Bear?” Then, I laughed… “ No..you idiot! Their parents name them!” He nods “Ohhhh.. then why Dexter? He’s a cat.. sooo Charlie Cat makes more sense” Shaking my head… I replied “Dexter chose his name. He’s psychotic.. none of you believe me.. but he really is a psychopath! He chose Dexter.. after the crazy guy that is on TV.. it’s his favorite show? The guy’s a blood splatter expert who commits murders.. to further his education? The cat likes TV.. he and Adele watched it all the time” Derek busted out laughing and says “Yeah..that makes sense in a psychotic kind of way!” Monty mutters “Note to self.. stay away from psychotic walks through walls killer cat!” Which had all of is laughing…except Monty..

Anita walks in… I smile at her..great big.. and offer he a seat. She smiles back and asks “How can I help you today, Alpha?” He said “Luna wants to speak with you today.. not me” I nod.. and ask how Gertie is.. She responds that she’s doing good..enjoying retirement. I ask “Tell me Anita… who do you know at the castle?” She replies “I’m not sure I understand..” I look around at everyone in the room “What’s not to understand. A two year old could understand.. who do you know at the castle?” Again.. she plays dumb.. “Nobody? I haven’t ever been to the castle” I nod.. okay.. I know this game! Let’s play.. I link Sadie.. ‘watch those cameras.. see who answers their phone’ I smile again and tell her “I need your phone….Now!” She hands it over.. and I tell Sadie to give me the number. She does..and I type it in.

I look at Anita.. and say “Last chance.. who do you know at the castle?” She says no one! And I grin.. “When I typed in the number on your phone.. it was recognized as belonging to one ‘HunnyBunny’ soooo I think you may be lying.. But… I want you to watch me… because I’m going to show you how lying really works! MmKayyy?” And I hit send on the number.

A cute little voice came on the line ‘Hello?’ I smirk… I make my voice choke..sounding tearful “Hi.. you don’t know me.. but I’m a friend of Anita’s and she gave me her phone to call you! There’s been an accident “ and Anita jumped for her phone.. Monty caught her and restrained her..with his hand over her mouth. What’s happened? Is she okay?’ I look over at Sadie and she points to a screen.. a girl is running for the sleeping quarters. I cry “No.. she’s not okay… there was a fire.. she may not make it through the night.. that’s why I’m calling… she really needs to see you!” And the sweet voice replies ‘ Tell her I’m on my way! Please..tell her to hold on! I’m coming!’ And she hung up.

Monty turned Anita loose..she screamed “She’s my mate! You lied.. you bitch!” And I slapped her.. open palmed good old-fashioned Bitch slap and she spit out two teeth! I said “What did I lie about? I told her… you gave me your phone.. you did! I said there’s been an accident. I’m sure there has been….somewhere. I said you’re not okay..and you are so far from okay… that even you have no idea. I then told her there’s been a fire.. and there has been.. many of them.. just the other day, Adele set fire to a rogue at her shop… and then, I mentioned you may not make it through the night! That’s a stronger possibility than you can even fathom! We kill traitors, Anita.. have you forgotten? So, pray tell… WHAT did I lie about, Exactly??”

And Derek laughed so hard, he fell out of his chair. Monty and Shawn were leaned into each other.. trying not to fall over laughing. Sadie had tears rolling down her cheeks.. trying to tell us the girl was leaving the castle now. I said “How convenient… the traitor to the crown is turning herself in!” And they laughed again.

Monty took Anita to the cells.. Derek was going to talk to Gertie.. and I wanted to check on Edward. Sadie and Shawn were ordering baby furniture online. And I found Adele in the sitting room with Dexter, watching TV. I told her I was heading to the infirmary.. and asked if she needed anything before I left.. she declined. So I headed out.

Edward was still sleeping.. which is a good thing. His wolf has to recover..and the best way, is to let him sleep. I check his wounds.. the whole time..talking to his sleepy wolf.. I tell Eros the Queen will be here when he wakes.. and Theo is just fine… playing video games with the other teens in the game room. Inane chatter while I redress his wounds to help him not feel the pain as much. The silver has bled the bandage black again. But, it’s not as angry red now, and the blackness that was traveling through his veins was gone. Which in itself, is a huge relief! I leave him to sleep.. telling him I will be back in the morning. I left instructions with his night nurse and headed back out to find my mate!

Locating him, with Monty in the conference room.. Sadie had connected the castle’s cameras to the big screen. We noticed the Queen and Aurelia were sleeping.. which is a good thing.. she’s going to want to spend time with her mate tomorrow. Theo knocked and spoke with us about the King.. deciding he was turning in for the night. And we decided to try and sleep a few hours before we headed to the castle. I asked where we would be landing a helicopter and he laughed… the courtyard.. It’s big enough to fit a thousand cars.. so I’m sure it will be fine for helicopters.

We climbed into bed and snuggled into each other.. and I was asleep within minutes. It felt like minutes, before I was being shaken awake. We dressed quickly and ran downstairs. I was excited! I have never been in a helicopter before..and was really looking forward to it. We had to drive to the local airfield..and Derek was nervous about an attack. Just as he opened my door.. for me to get in… Anita’s little mate showed up. Tom was summoned..and told to show her to a room..and two guards were to watch her, at all times. She was technically…the King’s prisoner. She did tell us her name is Tammy. And she met Anita when the King and Queen had been at Mountain Moon for the Winter Gala last year. The girl is a nanny! A Nanny!!!
