Paulina’s POV ~

I watch Felicia carefully, as she takes her seat.. I wait.. letting her get comfortable. Then, I say “I am going to allow you this one time only to vent. Get everything off your chest.. Take note of what I just said. I am ALLOWING it! Once you are done.. know that there will never be a second chance for you to get this shit out of your system! I am your Luna! I am the future Queen. Never again, after this moment, will you be allowed to speak against me. I will execute you, myself, for treason. You have ten minutes!”

She glared at me.. then whined “Romeee” and I snapped “DO NOT speak to MY mate! I am allowing this! Not my mates!” She glared again.. and I smirked “TickTock, bitch!” She snapped “YOU are a nobody! You come in here.. acting all high and mighty. A pathetic orphan, nobody wanted. All boohoo poor me, and TAKE my man. You are nothing! Worthless! The King made Roman reject me! He wants to be with me! He loves ME! Why would he want you!? Look At You! Nobody wants you! Even your own parents threw you away! You may have him for now.. but mark my words! He will come back to me. To MY bed! They always do!”

I asked “Are you done?” She screamed “Fuck You, you Bitch!” I nodded and said “Ever watch Charlie Brown? Remember his teacher.. or his mom.. when they talked, all he ever heard was ‘Wah Wah Wah’? Yeah.. that’s what comes out of your mouth! Now! You had better start seriously talking. Who do you know.. or who are you related to.. in the Orange River Pack? You gave yourself away.. as soon as you said they should have killed me. And again, just now.. when you talked about me being an orphan. When you called me nothing.. worthless… Pathetic! Those are all things I heard growing up! The only people who knew that.. are the people in this room! So, tell me, Fucklicia! Who did you tell I am here?”

She sat quietly.. fuming.. and staring at Roman.. who had lifted me into his lap and buried his face in my neck.. scenting me to stay calm. I yelled “SPEAK! Or I will snap your neck right the fuck now for treason!” Ahhh.. now I smell it! Fear! And I grin..

Still, she didn’t speak. She knew she fucked up. I looked over at Renata and said “Mom? Do that thing you do?” She grinned at me and said “With pleasure, my daughter!”

Within minutes, Felicia was coughing.. and choking. A bubble would pop out of her mouth, every few seconds. I grinned. I looked at Renata and told her “That’s handy!” and she smiles at me, so sweetly.

I watched Felicia trying to breathe.. and I spoke, calmly “Would you like to tell me, now? Or continue to drown on your own saliva? It is your choice.. nasty way to commit suicide, but I must confess.. I am eager to watch you die!”

She started nodding frantically, and I nodded at Renata. Seconds later, Felicia was gasping lungs full of dry air.. catching her breath. She said “Alpha Brennan is my mother’s cousin!”

I said “Do tell! Which one of you called him? And what the fuck were you thinking? You had to have known the risks.. and don’t play now.. I expect the truth. Perseus, my love.. would you be so kind.. as to command this bitch to spill her guts?” He grimned at me and murmured “With absolute pleasure, mi amour!”

He looked at Brandon.. telling him to bring her parents to the office. Then we sat, talking with his parents… until her parents joined us. As they sat, Perseus commanded them to speak the truth.

Felicia started speaking “My mom told me the only way I could get Roman back was to get rid of you. Edgar had contacted her months ago about looking for you.. telling her to let him know if you ever showed up at our pack. That you are a runaway Slave.. and owe him over a hundred grand. A slave?! A Slave is going to be Queen?! No fucking way! So, when you actually showed up here last month.. I called him! He only wants his money!”

I smiled “Hmmm.. I see? And your mother gave you the number to call? Or did you look it up? I mean.. she had already suggested you get rid of me.. you know what that’s called? Aiding and abetting a crime.. Is treason a family characteristic? Is your father complicit?”

She said “Dad doesn’t know anything! Mom didn’t know I called Edgar.. she just said the only way was to get rid of you!” I muttered “I see! You’re shameful! A blight on werewolves, everywhere! Mother Moon must be so ashamed of you! Should we ask her?”

Renata looked at me and asked “Has Macie shown you your gifts?” I nodded and grinned “When the guys marked me.. Mother Moon came to me and showed me.. she told me to keep it to myself, until I needed it.. I think I need it, right now. It’s judgement day!”

I put my forehead down on Roman’s shoulder.. let me body go limp.. and called for Selene. My skin began to tingle and heat up.. My blonde hair began to shine and glow, like the aura of the moon.. my eyes burned.. and When I sat back up, my eyes glowed with swirling stars and moonlight… resembling a galaxy. My consciousness slipped back, and I was filled with her presence.

Selene stood and walked over to Felicia’s father, Chris, and pulled his wolf forward.. she spoke in an ethereal voice “Samson, are you a traitor to your people?” He answered no, mother.. neither is my human. She nodded. Then she stepped in front of the mother, Gloria.. “Eileen, are you a traitor to your people?” She said no.. but my human skin is. Selene asks “Do you wish to be reborn?” Eileen nodded. We watched as Selene pulled the wolf soul out of Gloria, sending her back to the moon’s realm. Gloria crumpled on the floor, dead. She turned to Chris, saying “Your second chance is waiting for you.. go to the kitchen, you will find her.” The man ran out of the room.

She turned to Felicia and said “Felicity! I had such hopes for you this incarnation.. You promised you’d changed. You lied. I send you home now, to wander the dark side of the moon, for eternity.” And she drew the wolf from Felicia.. we watched as her spirit whisked away, like Eileen’s did. Felicia was screaming in agony, and Selene struck her dead with an electric jolt.

I watched all this happen from deep inside my head.. Macie wrapped around my feet. She turned to Perseus and Roman “Take care of my human vessel! You will have need of me!” Then she kissed Renata and vacated my body. I collapsed to the floor.. but not before I heard Brandon say “That is the freakiest shit I have ever seen! And Goddess knows we have seen some freaky shit with this family!” Everyone laughed as Roman lifted me back into his lap.
