The Curse Of Rejection

Chapter The curse Story

AYSU

The insides of the building were a very grand, majestic sight, it was a huge contrast from what they saw outside. Even the stairs and tiled ground of the inside were fine enough to shame the aesthetics of the palace back in the Night Crimson Pack.

“Wow,” Ximun finally dropped. “This is neat.”

“It is. I would love to surprise people like this in the future by having a rough exterior but possessing the most wonderful interior.”

“Aysu,” the unforgettable voice of the High Priestess filled the emptiness around them. “You are right. Most people miss a chance to get heaven’s blessings because they think that the exterior of this place doesn’t befit them.” Soon, the woman began to walk down the stairs, her figure looking radiantly different from when they last saw her. Aysu truly didn’t notice that the woman’s hair was sleek black the last time they met.

“So, this place looks like that on the outside because you like to test people?” Ximun asked.

“Actually, I don’t know. This place has been like this since the Moon goddess formed this pack. So, she is the one with answers to your question, Alpha Ximun.”

“I am no longer, Alpha King,” Ximun said after clearing his throat.

“Says who?” At this point, the woman was at the last stage of descending the stairs and with seriousness in her smokey eyes, she further asked, “Do you think the opinion of those who have cheated you matters? The Moon goddess made you Alpha King of that pack and it will be that way always.”

Aysu felt Ximun sigh heavily.

Then he said, “You must truly be a connection to the heavens.”

The High Priestess, who was rubbing the length of her red lace gown, stopped to shoot a glare at Ximun. “You were doubting me?”

“Yes.”

“Oh well, that is understandable. Where you two come from, you have become so modern and all traditional values and stories have been totally lost. Of course, it would be bollocks to you if someone claims to have a connection to the heavens.”

“There are a few people that possess similar abilities to you,” Ximun added. “It’s because of them we get to know the goddess’s choice when it comes to selecting Alpha Kings.”

“Ahh, I see. Anyway,” her hands shot into the air, “let’s leave that talk. My name is Clarissa and I am here to help you break the curse that might ruin you two if care is not taken.”

Aysu, who had been very awe-stricken by the woman’s charisma, cleared her throat and returned to her full senses.

“This curse,” Aysu said, “how does it work truly? Back home, I was told that I would find other people suffering from the curse but I never did until I met Ximun.”

“True,” Ximun backed her up. “I also searched far and wide for someone with the same fate until I met Aysu.”

“Why would it make sense if many people shared the same fate as you two?” Clarissa asked, her right hand combing through her hair in the sexiest way possible.

“What does that mean?” Aysu asked.

“You two can only be the ones with the curse because you are destined for each other.”

“What? We are destined… What?”

“How is this surprising to you? You have been together for a while, so you should be able to tell that much.”

Aysu glanced at Ximun. “Well, I know we had a rocky start but the moment we gave in to our bond, things felt right. Really right.”

“Right,” Clarissa said. “That’s because you two are destined to be together. This is a classic case of reincarnation that has managed to intertwine your fates.”

“Reincarnation?” Aysu was starting to get a little confused.

And Clarissa seemed more surprised. “You two don’t know the story?”

“What story?” Ximun asked.

“Oh wow.” Clarissa sighed. “This is going to be a long session. We should grab a seat.”

As soon as she spoke, certain tile sections opened and chairs came out of the ground while in the middle, a small centrepiece table bearing a plate of what looked like fruits settled.

Soon, they were all seated, Aysu and Ximun facing Clarissa who continued exuding sexiness as she crossed her legs.

“So, your fates date back to thousands of years ago when the goddess made this pack her abode. This pack was open to everyone and back then, we had werewolves that were just pure humans, they had not yet found their wolves. So they came down to this pack to seek the goddess’s help.”

Aysu was unsure where the story was going, but she could tell that it would be interesting, so she made sure to listen because most times, when some people talk, she always manages to zone out.

Clarissa continued after a brief pause. “Out of the many creatures that came here was a pure human named Montari. He came to search for his werewolf nature that wasn’t exactly visible. So, he came with the intent to approach the goddess for help. But he met her daughter instead.”

“The goddess has a daughter?” Aysu asked, her shock not hidden.

“Well, yes and no. Just listen to the story.”

“Okay.”

“So, Montari met Cassera, the goddess’ daughter. Their first meeting was reportedly not so great but they eventually fell in love. They were deep into the love and yes, Montari was able to find his werewolf nature, so they settled in this pack and decided to build a home here. But…”

That heavy pause made Aysu itch more for what Clarissa was about to say.

“... something went wrong with Montari’s werewolf nature. “

“Did he hurt Cassera?” Aysu asked with slight desperation in her voice. On the other hand, Ximun remained quiet.

“Well, he did.”

Aysu gasped. “He put his hands on her? He tried to kill her?”

“Oh no. His sexual power went out of hand,” Clarissa casually dropped. “And along the line, it made Montari kill some people.”

“What?”

“See, back then, the werewolf gene was quite crazy when it came to being in heat. At some point, merely having sex became insufficient and those that suffered that fate either had insane, continuous orgies or killed people to ease their stress. Some people did both. Montari did both.”

“Wow,” Aysu dropped silently. She wasn’t expecting that.

“Yup.” Clarissa nodded her head and sighed. “It was pretty nasty because Montari wasn’t the only one with that issue. But the thing is, because he was with the goddess’s daughter, his actions became a pretty big deal.”

“So, they got rid of him?” Aysu asked.

“No. The leaders back then used him as a weapon.”

“A weapon for what? That doesn’t make sense.” S~ᴇaʀᴄh the FɪndNovᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

“Back then, sex was a weapon and the leaders, behind the goddess were able to use Montari to the fullest because he wished to be eased of the sexual frustrations he could not get Cassera to fill. Anyway, the leaders took their use of Montari to the next level by using him to brutally kill certain people in the pack.”

“How was the goddess not aware of this? Isn’t she supposed to be all-knowing?”

“The Moon goddess is not the supreme being, Aysu. She is a deity assigned to our world. There is a limit to what she can and not do. Anyway, Cassera found out about what her mate had been up to, so she took matters into her own hands. She had been betrayed and she had just found out that her mate had the blood of many people on her hands, so she,” Clarissa paused and Aysu almost swore at her, “killed Montari.”

“What?” Aysu shot her hands into the air in slight frustration. “That’s a shitload of nonsense. How is it Montari’s fault that his werewolf nature went out of control? That’s more or less the fault of Cassera’s mother.”

“Things are never that simple Aysu,” Clarissa said. “Yes, the goddess helped them find their wolf nature but she never interfered with their lives after. So, whatever happened was a result of what Montari did to himself at one point in his life.”

“Oh wow.”

“Anyway, while Cassera took the life of her mate, she cursed him for tainting the sacredness of their bond. She cursed the next lives he would have to live and she mentioned that he would always be rejected by any mate he finds and that he will always live in pure pain till he dies.”

“Wow,” Aysu truly had nothing more to say at that point.

“The goddess heard about what her daughter did and since Cassera abused her divine powers, the goddess decided to spread the curse to her daughter and she modified it to what you now know as the rejection curse.”

“So, the goddess cursed them both to be rejected fifteen times till they find each other in their next lives?” Aysu asked. “And if they do not find each other, they would die and try again in the next life?

And Clarissa nodded. “Exactly. After that incident, things became a little crazy in this pack and the system just had to be adjusted. A few wicked souls were killed and a great number of people were driven out of here. The goddess went back to the heavens while Cassera grew old here in the greatest pain till she died.”

Aysu laughed when she realised that the story was over.

“I am sorry, but how do you expect me to believe all of that?”

“I don’t expect you to, but now you know how and why the rejection curse came to be.”

“Yeah…” Aysu narrowed her eyes. “I don’t know.”

“So, how do we break this curse?” Ximun spoke after many minutes of sitting in heavy silence.

“Make sure you two conceive a child before a year runs out. I believe I mentioned that before. The solution is as simple as that and it won’t be hard to do that since you two appear to be very much in love.”

“Alright. Is that all we have to do?”

“Yes. Once you do that, every other thing will fall in place.”

“I see,” replied Ximun.

And Aysu abruptly butted in. “Are you saying I am a reincarnation of the goddess’s daughter and Ximun is a reincarnation of Montari?”

“Yes,” Clarissa replied with extreme seriousness. “That’s what I am saying. It might be a lot to take in, so why don’t you go back, sleep on it and discuss it with each other tomorrow.”

Aysu leaped to her feet. “Yeah, we will do that. Hopefully, your story will make less sense by then. But thank you for the solution.”

“I have told you the full truth, Aysu,” Clarissa said.

“I hear you.”

“Aysu,” Ximun called as he got to his feet. Then, without a word more, he reached for her hand and he led them out of that place.
