The Big Bad Wolf Mate

A week after my father told me his pack was doing amazing, I put that life behind me and gave everything I had into helping bring the Black Claw pack back to it’s full potential. The warriors were learning new techniques for border patrol and the women were joining in on more of the hands on drills. They even had formed a small pack of elite fighters. All in all, things were starting to come together.

“How can you be so damn sexy when you’re completely covered in dirt?” Bishop said as he walked up behind me, wrapping his arms around my tiny waist and kissing the back of my head.

“Because you’re a dog and you would think I was sexy no matter what I looked like.” I smirked as I elbowed him in the stomach.

He clutched his belly as he scoffed and huffed out, “Is that any way to talk to your mate?”

“You know you like it when I’m sassy.” I winked then kissed his cheek. “Now shoo, I have a class I’m supposed to be teaching right now and you’re distracting me.”

“Fine, I’ll go but this isn’t over.” Jogging off towards the pack house, he looked back over his shoulder and gave me the most panty-soaking smile.

Four hours into our training session, the women had officially given up. They had been working hard this whole time but today I pushed them and even though they would be going home in pain, they showed me just how dedicated they were to joining their male counterparts in battle. If the need should ever arise.

Wiping the sweat from my face, I grabbed my bottle of water and chugged the rest of it. Even though the Fall weather was in full force, the midday sun was beating down on us as we sparred and ran laps. Blowing out a long breath, I walked over towards the house as most of the members were leaving out. The meeting that Bishop had called must have been pretty important if he needed the elders to get involved. As each one passed by me they gave me a curt smile and returned to their vehicles. I returned the smile and continued into the house.

“So, what’s with this important meeting that I wasn’t invited to?”

“It was about you!”

“About me? What for? Did I do something wrong already?” Panic began to sink into my chest and all my fears of inferiority rose to the surface.

“Relax, you didn’t do anything wrong. It was just a formality of approval. Our elders come together when a new Luna is introduced so they can make sure I’ve done what I need to do for your welcoming like if I told my pack and having the Luna ceremony.”

“What does the ceremony consist of?” Biting my nails as he walked towards me, he grabbed my hand in his and rubbed his thumb over the top.

“Whatever you want. It can be a party or it can be a private affair. Most of the previous Luna’s opted for a small, intimate gathering with the higher ranked leaders and family.”

Nodding my head, I smiled and said, “I think that sounds perfect.”

“Well then, we can get Naomi to arrange something.”

“I would like to help, if that’s ok.”

Smiling sweetly, he said “I think that could would be perfect.”

He picked up the phone and made a call as I left to go take a shower. Thoughts of a beautiful candlelight dinner outside on the patio popped into my head and I quickly grabbed a piece of paper and pen and started jotting down my ideas. Three hours later, I still hadn’t showered but I had six pages of notes for my ceremony.

There was a knock on the door making me snap out of my daydream when I called out, “Come in.”

Placing the papers down on the bed, I smiled as Naomi emerged from the hallway and said, “May I come in?”

“Yes, please. Are you here to talk about the ceremony?”

She smiled and walked over to my bed then sat down besides me. “Are these your ideas?” She said as she grabbed the papers and began going through them.

“Some of them. I’m just too indecisive about what I want. I hope you can help me narrow these down.” I huffed out.

“That’s what I’m here for.”

Grabbing a pencil, she took the notebook I was using and began drawing some sketches. I watched as the details I had written down came to life on the pages with even more beautiful elements. She took all of the things I liked and created a masterpiece consisting of flowers, fairy lights and white, blush and sequin champagne accents.

Since it was such a small thing, we only would need two tables, which she drew in an L shape so that everyone would be able to see and talk to each other. In total, we decided on 16 people. After we made a seating chart, we arranged talked about dinnerware and cutlery along with a menu. I wanted something simple that wouldn’t require a lot of preparation but Naomi had suggested more of an upscale meal because of the celebration. So we finally agreed on steaks and twice baked potatoes with a nice green salad. No, it wasn't a proper meal but it reflected Bishop and I's personalities to a T.

"Sorry to interrupt ladies but it's almost time for supper, Naomi."

Her eyes widened and she said, "I'm sorry, Alpha the time got away from me." She began gathering things off the bed and shoving them under her arms as she scurried towards the door.

"It is ok. I would much rather you two create the ceremony that my Luna deserves. Don't worry if it gets to the table a little later than usual. And if anyone complains, tell them to call me." He winked at her making her turn six shades of red as she ran out the room and down the stairs.

"Do you have that effect on all the women here?" I asked with my eyebrow raised.

His cocky grin made me feel just as giddy as Naomi and I knew I had my answer without him saying a word. Wrapping his arms around my body, he whispered into my ear, "Yes, but you're the only one whose response matters."

If talking shit were a competition, he would win the gold medal but he could back his game up and that was what mattered to me. I kissed his cheek and grabbed his hands and said, "Let's take a shower before supper."

His dick sprang to life in his pants and I knew we wouldn't be the only ones who were late to supper. I wonder if he would be as forgiving with me as he was with Naomi for making him late.

The more these two spend time together the more the cuter of a couple they become. They will be the most powerful Alpha and Luna in the state, I just hope they continue to grow together.

I can't wait to see how this ceremony brings their families together. Will it be a civil thing or will it be a disaster with all these different Alpha's in one place at the same time?

Naomi and Em have really become good friends. I wonder if she will ever meet her mate or take Ember's advice and enjoy the time she has before she becomes a taken woman.
