The Big Bad Wolf Mate

Chapter Anderson’s POV

Taking over Sloan’s pack had been a dream of mine ever since I heard of the literal gold mine that was under his land. It was the largest natural mineral reserve in the US and that lucky son of a bitch didn’t even know it. Hell, no one knew about it until my connections in the Mafia overheard some older gentlemen taking about it. Having all that land to myself would definitely be the thing to make me the Godfather, instead of that weak piece of shit that was currently filling the role.

I almost had my chance at taking over and claiming it three years ago after a certain cold-blooded she-devil came into my life like a whirlwind. She quickly became one of my best dealers and had taken down more targets than anyone had before and it didn’t hurt that she had as large of a sexual appetite as I did. We instantly clicked because of our shared interests but I knew she wasn’t doing it just for me, she had her own needs to think about.

I knew she only agreed to help me in exchange for her selfish reasons and when I told her of what was lying beneath his property, she was all in but it was almost ruined with some surprising news. She was Bishop’s destined mate but instead of running for the hills, she used it to our advantage and tried to get close to him, weakening his defenses. Until one day he caught us in a compromising position and he rejected her.

Unfortunately for me, she didn’t complete the job and lucky for her she was too good of a fuck to kill, so I let her keep her life but shortly after that she disappeared and I never saw her again. Since then, my attempts at taking over his land had been unsuccessful so I began plotting again.

My luck had finally changed when I heard about the White Shadow packs predicament. Alpha Felix Watson was set to retire, leaving his unmated daughter, Ember, to take over. I figured if I could get her to agree to be my mate then convince her to let me run the pack, I’d have an even better chance of beating Bishop and his men.

To my surprise though, not only did she deny my request when I approached her but shortly after, she vanished, leaving her father with no one to step up and making her pack vulnerable to creeps like me. I knew getting him to agree to take my help would eventually pay off and then I wouldn’t have to worry about his daughter but what she didn’t realize was that she sealed their fate when she refused my offer and once I was Alpha I would be killing them all.

Being the most ruthless leader in the country had it’s perks but it wasn’t easy. I still remember the day Montgomery wandered into my land and begged me to let him hide for a while. The look is his eyes and the alcohol on his breath told me he was beginning to loose his touch and he would soon be an easy target. I gave in and let him stay but it didn’t take me long to realize he was just one of the Mafia’s pathetic little puppets that had been doing all their dealings.

They used him to smuggle drugs and contraband across the borders and also had one of the biggest human trafficking rings North of Mexico and his strategy was to enlist Rogue’s, prowlers and misfit members as his minions. They kidnapped women and traded them internationally but what he was most known for were his killings. Only he was allowed to kill someone, even anyone who thought about fucking him over. Smiling to myself, I recalled the look in his eyes as I slashed his throat and crowned myself the new unmerciful man he once was.

I glanced out the window waiting for that little weasel to return with Ember’s answer. It didn’t take long for her to call her father and tell her where she was, then my plan went into action. After a few random attacks on his pack, Felix asked me for help to boost his packs defenses. Being the noble man I was, I agreed and subliminally began turning his men against him without them knowing it and when the time was right, I would strike.

“Alpha, no one has heard from Cedric in almost 3 days. He should have delivered your message and been back by now.”

Turning around, I stared the little idiot in front of me down like he was a rotten piece of meat and said, “I don’t know why I waste my time sending useless wolves to do my work. I guess I will be making a trip to Tennessee myself.”

“And what is going to happen here? We finally have Alpha Felix right where we want him and soon we will be able to convince him to merge our packs and let you lead he and his people.” Sᴇaʀ*ᴄh the ꜰindNʘvel.ɴet website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

I glared at the clueless wolf before me and said, “I will decide how and when that happens. In the meantime, I have a she wolf to negotiate with. Let my men know I will be out of town for a couple of days and tell Felix nothing.”

He bowed his head and scurried out the door. Felix didn’t know how pathetic his members were and how easily persuaded they could be. All it took was letting them think they had a tiny ounce of power and they rolled over like the little trained pups they were.

I retreated to the guest room and packed my bags while making a few calls to secure some protection ahead of me since Bishop already knew me and my guys. Once everything was lined up, I took my things downstairs and placed them in the trunk of my car and without a word to anyone else, I headed North for Tennessee.

After driving a few hours to meet with the guards I had asked to accompany me, we left my car at one of my storage pods and loaded into three black Escalades. It was only 6 hours to the cabin, which just so happened to border her cousin Chase's pack and once I was there she would have no choice but to talk to me.

“Alpha, we should be there in an hour.”

“Thank you, Mack.”

The drive had been boring but once we crossed over the state line, my fingers began to tingle in anticipation. I was either coming home with her and give her the chance to save her pack or if she denied me again, I would attack, eliminating everyone she cared about and it would all be her fault.

When we finally drove up to one of the many houses Montgomery had acquired over the years, I could feel a change of atmosphere in the air. I had heard that after Bishop's little mate had betrayed him, he went crazy and left. Had I known that, I could have taken over a long time ago. However, half the fun of taking over someone's pack is the senseless slaughter of their leader and I would soon be tasting that victory as well.

Uh oh! There is trouble brewing and I have a feeling this is the beginning of something terrible. Anderson has a past with Bishop and now we know why he wanted to take over so bad, GOLD!!!

Do you think Ember will take his offer if she knows what's going to happen to her pack if she says no, or do you think she will tell him no again calling his bluff?

Is there anything good that ever happens when Ember acts like a brat? Stay tuned for the exciting adventures of Ember the stubborn ass wolf!!!!!
