The Alpha’s Contract Luna alexia By Lian

Chapter 61

Alexia –
Chapter 61
“Luna Alexia! Your mother is here!” Seth screamed, interrupting a critical meeting.
Under normal circumstances, Seth would have been punished for his interference, but not that day, not when the arrival of
Alexia’s mother involved the king himself.
The alphas and lunas snapped their heads back between. Alexia and the king. The matter of Alexia’s identity was still unclear to
most of them. By the way everyone was staring at her, Alexia knew they wanted answers.
It was her husband, Kieran, who clarified the issue. He said, “About the queen’s accusations. We have already run the test to
prove it. My wife is not the king’s daughter. She is Alpha Roland’s daughter.”
“However, it is true. Alexia’s mother was my true mate, but I rejected her before marrying Helen. It should not have been an
issue because Helen and I never had a relationship before our marriage,” the king admitted. “She should not have involved
Alexia in her schemes or her mother.”
Alexia saw how the king was hurt when explaining this. His eyes bore the shame, and how he said it so softly suggested; he
lacked the esteem to acknowledge he had rejected his true love.
After the alphas and the lunas accepted Kieran’s and the king’s explanation, Alexia dashed out with her husband. She had mixed
emotions, but primarily she was excited.
“She is on her way here with her people.” Seth frowned as he reported. “That’s what the warriors on patrol said. She has

people guarding her. It makes me curious about your mother, Luna.”
“I am as curious as you, Seth,” Alexia replied.
Alexia wanted to run and meet her mother halfway, but the Cross River Pack’s territory was not that big. She knew her mother
would arrive sooner than expected.

As she waited at the driveway of the packhouse, she felt the king’s presence, so she turned around. She met Balthasar’s gaze,
and they both nodded. Alexia smiled, whereas the king sucked in a deep breath.
Alexia’s questions would all be answered soon, and as for the king? He might get his closure. Good or bad, at least he would
know whether Avery would forgive him. Would the king and her mother rekindle their love? Only time will tell.
Minutes into the wait, she saw three cars driving in their direction. The two were unfamiliar, but the first one was Jaxon’s, clearly
guiding the other vehicles to the packhouse.
In each second that passed, Alexia’s heart raced. She felt her hands shake, and it was probably so apparent that her husband
held her hand. Kieran said, “This is it. Alexia. The moment of truth. Don’t be nervous.”
While Alexia was waiting, she also felt a sense of danger. She wondered why when powerful men surrounded her; her husband,
the king, Beta Ford, and behind them were alphas of different packs. However, because of her excitement, Alexia dismissed her
inkling. She concluded no one would dare harm her from where she stood.
Instead, she walked forward, leaving Keiran behind. She wanted to be the one to welcome her mother first.
When the cars were a few meters away, Alexia sped her steps.

Tears were already streaming down her face. Her heart was galloping; she knew she had to ease its yearning.
The vehicles behind Jaxon stopped, following Alexia’s decision to make a run for it. Before Alexia knew it, she saw a familiar
face she had longed to see. It was indeed her
mother, Avery. She could not help but softly call her, “Mother.”
“Alexia! My child!” Avery called as soon as she got off the car. The woman wore a long white cloak over her b*dy and looked
magnificent. If it were not for the fact that her mother looked like her, Alexia would have mistaken the woman for royalty.
“Alexia!” Avery repeated.
After hearing her name twice, Alexia finally strengthened her voice, saying, “Mother! Is it you? Mother!”
“Yes, it’s me.” Like Alexia, Avery was teary-eyed. She ran towards Alexia with her arms wide open.
Out of nowhere, however, Alexia saw how her mother froze. Her eyes rounded, and her head snapped to her left. Her fangs

quickly elongated, her b*dy expanding, ready to shift. Avery screamed, “Alexia! Watch out!”
Alexia turned to where her mother was looking. To her shock, it was Drake! He was in his wolf form! ‘How did he ever escape his
prison?’
Before Alexia could find the answer to her questions, she heard a wolf’s growl, which came from the sizeable winter-grey wolf in
front of her. Who could it be? It could only be her mother and no one else! Avery was a winter-grey wolf! It shocked Alexia
beyond words.
Alexia felt chills down her spine, watching her mother bite

Drake’s wolf mercilessly and swing him from side to side. The same remarkable wolf threw Drake several yards away, and when
his b*dy landed, she heard his bones cracking.
Immediately, Alexia could tell that Drake was dead. When he turned back into his human form, his eyes had no life, and blood
pooled around him. Drake stood no chance against the strength of her mother,
“Whoever wants to hurt my daughter, Alexia, is declaring war against the wintery-grey wolf clan!” Avery growled. In her wolf form,
she viciously looked around, finding another one to kill. “Who else dares to hurt Alexia? I will kill you with my bare hands!”
More than just the surprising revelation that unfolded before her eyes, Alexia felt her husband’s presence. She turned and saw
how Kieran paled in shock. She looked at the king, and his mouth fell open. The rest of the alphas and lunas were equally
stunned, giving varied expressions.
“Avery? Is it really you?” Finally, Alexia heard the king speak. She quickly turned her gaze to her mother and saw how Avery
froze at the recognition of Balthasar.
“B-balthasar, is that you? It is you,” Avery probed, her words cutting in and out.
“You – you are a winter-grey wolf?” Balthasar asked.
Aides of Avery quickly walked up to her, carrying a cloak. Avery shifted into her human form with her people covering her frame.
After she had wrapped herself, she faced Balthasar and everyone else who remained gawking at her.
She confidently responded, “Yes, to answer your question, I am a winter-grey wolf, and because I am, Alexia is also a winter-
grey wolf.”
Chapter 61
“Excuse me, but she is not just a regular winter-grey wolf,” someone behind Avery declared. “Her Highness, Avery, is a
descendant of Adira Elsher, a royal blood.”
“She is the winter-grey wolves’ reigning queen, and we have come here to take our princess, Princess Alexia, back to her rightful
home. Address Our Highness rightfully as Queen Avery of the Azenna.”
