Chapter 12
Chapter-12
Cyra
Umm, what?
After taking the gift, I quickly rushed to my father’s office. We still had so much to do.
For some reason, none of the adults were allowing us to do a party this year. That makes no sense. I mean, my family loves partying for no reason at all, so why are they not celebrating my father’s fortieth birthday?
Nevertheless, Vi and I convinced them to at least host a small family gathering to celebrate. Now, we needed to set up his surprise birthday gift in his office, get the cake that’ll we would cut at 12 o’clock, and decorate his room.
“Did you get it?” Violet asked as I came running.
“Yup! Now we just need to hide it.” I answered.
We both entered my dad’s office. We were organizing a little gift hunt for him and this was the final gift.
“So, where do we hide it?” Vi asked
“How about near his desk?” I suggested.
We both walked over to the desk, looking for a suitable hiding spot. I was looking under the table when I suddenly hit my head on its surface.
“Oww!” I exclaimed.
“Cyra, look!”
I carefully came out from under the table and looked at where she was pointing. It was a secret drawer with some papers in it. I was intrigued.
“Should I?” I asked
“I don’t know Cyra. What if it’s something confidential? Your father might get really angry.”
“C’mon, we are the future Alpha and Beta. It’s not like we’ll leak the information. Besides, he’ll never know. On the other hand, if I don’t see them right now, I’ll go crazy due to curiosity. Plea..”
“Okay, jeez. But quick, before anyone sees us.”
I smirked at her and opened the papers.
Deal with Hades….forty years for forty years of slavery…..passed on to blood…..love bond….fortieth birthday….sacrifice of Celina or Cyrus
I glanced at the paper but nothing made sense. It was like jumbled-up research papers. What did they mean? I was so confused. But the thing that worried me the most was that my parents’ name was written on it. Were they in danger?
“Umm... What is this?” Vi asked.
“I have no clue. I’ll ask my parents about it.”
“Yes, you probably should do that before making guesses in your head and getting worried for no reason.”
I nodded. She was right; I shouldn’t be worried for no reason. I’ll ask them and sort out the confusion. I closed the drawer and kept the papers with me. I’ll ask them the day after tomorrow. No point ruining the day for everyone.
I distracted myself with work. There was still so much to be done. We quickly found a new hiding spot for my mom’s gift and hid it there. Then we quickly went to the kitchen.
“Hey, Caroline! Is the cake ready yet?” Vi asked Caroline, our head chef, as we entered.
“Almost. The cake is exactly like you wanted. I must say, you guys put a lot of mind into it.” Caroline said.
“Still, this was all you. You turned our imagination into reality so beautifully. Thank you.” I complimented her.
“You girls are so sweet. But it wasn’t all me. I had a lot of help from Klaus.” She said and Klaus, her mate, gave her a kiss making her blush.
“You guys are adorable! So we are going to leave you two alone while you continue with whatever you do.” I winked at her. She glared at us making both of us laugh while exiting the room.
“Now we just need to decorate your father’s room. Where did you keep the decorations?” I asked when we reached the staircase.
“It’s upstairs in your room. Let’s go and get it quickly.” We both walked upstairs to my room. It was opposite to Violet’s.
My entire room was in shades of pink, purple, and blue. It was full of different pictures.
We got the decorations and went to my father’s room to decorate it. We made sure my father stays out of the house today. We sent all the others, e.i. my parents, Vi’s parents, Uncle Aaron, Aunt Amara, and their twin sons Alex and Aiden to the fair. At night, we organized a little date night for my parents.
Alex and Aiden went as our agents to make sure everything goes as we planned. They are cute little nine-year-old boys who are also really smart and funny.
By the time we were done with the decorations, the adults were back from the fair. We greeted them as they entered. My parents were the last to enter and I quickly grabbed my father’s arm, while Vi grabbed my mother’s.
“OMG, you must be so tired and hungry after coming from the fair. I understand that you would want some alone time with each other while eating dinner.” I started while leading them to the backyard, where we planned their date.
“Yes, and of course you’d not want to be trapped in our suffocating castle while doing so. What you need is a candlelight dinner under the stars.” Vi continued.
“If only you had an amazing niece and an even more spectacular daughter to organize a date night for you both in this time of need.” I finished dramatically when we reached.
“My little drama queens, thank you. This is amazing, seriously. I love you both.” My dad hugged us.
“Now we’ll leave you both to do explicit content we’d rather not see.” Vi and I giggled and left.
We heard my mom say something in the background which only made us laugh harder.
Oh, this is going to be perfect. Everything is perfectly planned. All there is left to do is wait.
