Chapter 4 I'm Not an Easy Lay
Lilian felt glad to hear that.
But soon, she stared at the man in alert, "What do you want from me for that?"
"I... I'm not an easy lay."
That reminded her of what Sebastian just told her. "Be a prostitute!"
Her heart felt painful and sore. "No! I'm not going to sleep with you for money!"
"What?" The man's clear eyes looked sullen. "Don’t wrong me as a brothel frequenter."
Lilian shook her head.
The man then said, "I'm Archibald Hawkins."
Lilian opened her eyes widely in shock when she heard that name.
She remembered that the young master of the Hawkins in Millpond City was called Archibald Hawkins.
The Hawkins Family was the richest family in Millpond, with more than a hundred years' history.
Archibald ruled the business world in the city and built his own empire at a young age.
The Palmer would fade next to the glorious halo of the Hawkins.
Sebastian was a no-name to Archibald.
"It looks like you've heard of me. Are you going to keep me in the rain with you?" Archibald saw all of Lilian's reactions. His lips
curled, then he reached out his hand and helped her tuck her hair that was soaked in rain. This move was so intimate and a bit
affectionate.
Lilian backed up subconsciously. In a panic, she opened the door of the car and hopped in.
Archibald didn't mind her reaction at all. He got back in the driver's seat and turned on the heating, but he didn't start the engine
right away.
"Give me your account," he said.
After a pause, he added, "There's a small cabinet under the seat. You can find a dry towel in there. Dry your hair and face with it,
or you may catch a cold."
Lilian felt warm in her heart.
Never had she expected a stranger would care if she might catch a cold. While her husband...
"Thank you, Mr. Hawkins. If you can lend me the money, I'll return it to you as soon as I can."
She said and she gave him the number.
Then she saw Archibald called his assistant and repeated that long number accurately. She was impressed.
He remembered it after she told him only for once. The business genius must be very good at dealing with numbers.
The screen of her phone lit up. She looked at it and found 100 thousand yuan had been transferred into her account.
She suddenly felt released because there was hope for Zoe now.
"Where are you heading to?" As Lilian took out the towel and dry her hair, Archibald asked with satisfaction in his eyes.
"The Children's Hospital. Thank you," Lilian said quickly. She paused for a second and passed the towel to Archibald. "Do you
need it?"
She realized this was inappropriate when she did that.
She shouldn't pass him the towel she had used.
Rumors had it that this successful young man had serious mysophobia.
She wanted to withdraw his hand, but Archibald had already taken over the towel. He started to wipe himself as if he couldn't
care less.
Lilian was speechless and shocked.
Maybe rumors were just rumors.
Later Archibald drove Lilian to the hospital.
When they got out of the car, the rain had already stopped. Archibald pulled the car over and opened the door for Lilian by
himself. Then he leaned over and supported himself by the door frame. Lillian felt as if he was locked in his arms. Then he said,
"You owe me 100 thousand yuan. You should pay me back in ten days!"
"Seven...seven days?" Lilian was so stunned.
That was too pressing!
"Then I'll give you three days!"
"Remember to come to me."
Archibald might have laughed. Then he put his arms around Lilian's waist and switched position with her. A while later, he closed
the door and got back to the driver’s seat. Then he drove away.
