Chapter 3 The Innocent Vicious Woman
"Okay, I'll go."
Lilian gritted her teeth and said.
As she turned over, she decided she would never come back to him again.
"Wait a minute," Joanna said and got off the bed. She walked over to the desk, naked, and grabbed her purse. Then she took out
some cash and said, "Mrs. Palmer, we're both women. You may have stepped into and ruined my relationship with him, but I pity
you because you could never actually win his love. For that, I'll give you some money for mercy."
She deliberately walked around Lilian and threw the bills on her face. "You should take a look. Is that enough?"
"Oooops, my hands are slippery! They all fell on the ground now! Why don't you pick them up on your own?"
That innocent face looked so proud.
Joanna was standing with her back on Sebastian. She narrowed her vicious eyes and whispered to Lilian in a low voice that
Sebastian could barely hear, "I'll be Mrs. Palmer sooner or later! You'll spend every day in misery for the rest of your life!"
"There's no need,' Lilian looked at Joanna and laughed, "Save your money for some birth-control pills!"
She knew Sebastian didn't like children, and he didn't allow Joanna to carry his child.
Then Lillian left without looking back.
She walked out of the community and saw the gray sky. It was till then that her tears rolled down off her cheeks.
She turned over and saw an advertisement posted on a pole next to her. It was about some unsecured loan which she always
felt unreliable, but this time she read it carefully because this could be a lifesaver. She rushed over and tore it off.
The moment she tore it off, a gasp of wind whipped the piece of paper away. She ran over to chase in a hurry, without noticing
the car coming from ahead. It was already too late when she grabbed the advertisement in her hand.
"Ah!" She screamed and closed her eyes.
The car stopped inches away from her, steadily.
The man walking out of the car was in a black custom-made suit. His face looked gloomy after the accident. He was going to
honk the horn and tell the crazy woman to get off the road, but he hesitated for a moment when he saw her face. Then he
immediately opened the door and got off the car. He pulled her over and asked, "Lillian? Is that you?"
Lilian opened her eyes and saw the man's clear bright eyes.
"I..."
"Boom..." Following the thunder was the pouring rain. Soon the two were wet from head to toe.
Lillian realized what just happened. She kept apologizing in fear, "I'm sorry, sir... I didn't mean to get in the middle of the road. I'm
so sorry."
"Don't you know me?" The man frowned. He didn't look angry, but there's something fearsome about him on that face.
The man had been looking for Lillian for so many years. He was so surprised that she had forgotten about him.
"How could you forget about me, after all that you've done to me?"
"I'm sorry, sir." Lilian apologized again. She felt so confused. It looked like she might have known the man before.
Or maybe he had mistaken her for somebody else.
"I've got an emergency... can I go now?"
"Emergency?" The man looked at the advertisement in Lillian's hand. "To borrow money?"
Lilian suddenly felt embarrassed and didn't know what to say.
"This kind of unsecured loan is convenient, but it takes time to get the money. You must be in desperate need of money now."
The man sounded calm. "I can lend you some if you want. It won't take a minute."
"Get in the car!"
