Chapter 30
Chapter 30
Soon, Miriam’s posting on Facebook received a lot of likes.
Because of the lighting, Sigmund and Betty seemed to be looking at each other with affection in the photo.
The dim lighting added a bit of ambiguity to the two of them. Though people were watching, they looked like they would kiss in the next second.
“Oh my! I’m so excited though I’m not there.”
“All shall be well, and Jack shall have Jill!”
“This pair is simply too eye–catching. Watching them makes me feel good.”
“Who doesn’t love a good–looking couple?”
Miriam looked at the comments below her Facebook post and was overjoyed.
She soon thought of Becky.
She thought, “Since everyone has seen this, how could Becky miss it? After all, she is the one who should see this photo.”
With that in mind, Miriam immediately sent this post to all the chat groups, saying everyone should see this couple made in heaven.
Soon, many messages flooded out, and everyone praised Sigmund and Betty for how well they matched.
Miriam didn’t see Becky say anything. She just thought Becky was too embarrassed to show up.
However, the next second, she found that Becky was no longer in the chat group.
And at the same time, Becky, who was lying at home, picked up her cell phone and saw a new message on her Facebook. The profile picture of the person who sent the message was Miriam’s retouched picture of herself.
Becky was surprised, and at the same time, she clicked on Miriam’s Facebook page.
The photo that Miriam had gone to so much trouble to get her to see immediately caught her eye.
Becky quickly glanced at the sentence attached to it, and the mere sight of it made her want to laugh.
She knew, of course, that Miriam was doing it to make things difficult for herself and give her a hard time.
But they did not know that Becky was long past caring about such things. She could even give a like

to the Facebook post as the other party wanted, implying that she had seen it.
After casually scrolling through those Facebook posts, Becky distinctly got drowsy.
She put down her phone, turned off the light, and slept.
Miriam received a message from Becky. She clicked in and found that Becky liked the posting without saying anything.
Becky showed no concern for this, as if it was not her business and had nothing to do with her.
Miriam thought it was Becky’s silent resistance. She was sure that Becky must be crying somewhere at that moment.
The moment Becky opened her eyes after sleeping until dawn, the sunlight shone through the curtains and reached the sheets.
Becky, as usual, gave herself a few minutes to regain her senses before getting up. Then she washed and dressed herself and went to work.
Nothing was out of the ordinary on her way to work, except that when she entered the department office, she could clearly feel that everyone’s eyes were on her.
Becky was familiar with such inquisitive eyes, and she did not care. She went straight to her work desk.
The previous manuscript had been finalized. Now she just needed to refine it and then give it her own theme.
Becky’s carefree appearance made Lindsay feel a little strange. She was initially very worried about Becky, but slowly she stopped caring.

She thought to herself, “Becky doesn’t seem to need that much caring.”
But the others in the group all looked at Becky contemptuously, thinking she must be sleeping with the man that night. Otherwise, how could Ned have been called away?
And then everyone collected their thoughts and went back to work. Even if they hated her, they let it affect their work.
Ned didn’t know why he was called to the break room, and the moment he saw Marsh, he was in a trance and couldn’t help but think of the day he was caught in the act.
After a long while of dawdling, Ned finally stood in front of Marsh.
The moment he was called over, he had already guessed that it might be Becky’s revenge.
No matter what, Becky was well–connected in the company, so it was not difficult for her to make Ned suffer a little.
But Ned could never have imagined that Marsh’s net words would leave him dumbstruck in his

place.
“Ned, the higher–ups have decided to fire you, so go pack up and leave the company today,” Marsh
said.
Ned looked at Marsh in disbelief, thinking that Marsh was joking with him.
“Why? I didn’t make any mistakes in this project. Why should I be fired for no reason?”
Not expecting Ned to say this, Marsh looked up with some surprise.
Then, with a smile, Marsh said, “You indeed did not make any mistakes in the project, but you are not fit to be here when it comes to getting along with others in the company. Would you still need us to tell you who you can afford to provoke and who you can’t?”
Marsh touched his head helplessly, thinking that Ned should not be as stupid as he was two days ago after being in the company for so long.
Only then did Ned realize that it was Becky’s doing!
He cursed deep down. “I just let her drink a glass of wine at the hotel that night, but things have come to this point. How can she be so spoiled just because she’s well–connected?
“How can she be a bully with the backing of others? I just can’t believe it! The company is doomed with people like this!”
Subconsciously, Ned was about to defend himself.
But Marsh noticed that and spoke up first, saying, “Firing you is Mr. Moolery’s decision. What? Are you trying to disobey Mr. Moolery’s orders?”
Ned’s anger, which had just burst out, was extinguished immediately.
“If it was Mr. Moolery’s idea, how could I possibly stop it?” he said deep down.
“Well, no more wasting time. Just pack up and leave.”
With that, Marsh turned around and disappeared from the break room, leaving Ned with a departing back.
Ned stood in the same place for a long time to regain his composure before finally heading back to the department.
By the time he returned, Becky had already been at work for a while.
The emotions that Ned had just digested became out of control the moment he saw Becky.
And his eyes were also sharp, fierce, and aggressive.
Becky’s eyes met with Ned’s the moment she looked up.

Almost the next second, Ned walked toward her with his things in his arms, and when passing Becky, he did not forget to curse her.

“You can’t get far by sleeping with others. All those who harm others end up in a bad way, and you’ll get what’s coming to you!”
Becky couldn’t help but burst out laughing after hearing Ned’s words, and the snicker gave Ned an unspeakable blow.
Finally, Ned entered the elevator with his body trembling in anger.
As soon as he left, the department went into an uproar.
Everyone was whispering.
“Is it possible that the departure of designer Ned is related to Becky?”
