Singularity

Chapter 51

Kira raced down the hall shouting. “Michalei!”

Sephiroth got to her first. She flew into his arms and said, “Papa, I remember everything.”

“My daughter,” He gushed.

“I’m sorry I didn’t listen to you papa.” She wept. “I’m going to fix it. Where’s Michalei?”

“I’m here,” He said as he came running down the stairs.

“I remember and Domascus knows I do.” She said suddenly. “I have a plan.”

As she pulled the dagger from his belt he said, “Kira, no.”

“I trusted you. Now I need you to trust me Michalei. I can’t have this child.” She turned the hilt and put his hands on it.

“You know what to do.” She urged as she helped him press the blade against her skin.

“You’re crazy,” He said as his hands began to shake.

“You said you’d do anything for me Michalei. You’ve already risked your very soul to protect Avalon and me. Now help me make it right.” She begged.

“Michalei don’t.” Sephiroth choked. “You could kill her in both worlds.”

“I trust you.” He said as he looked deep into her eyes.

“Do it.” She nodded with a smile.

Kira held Michalei’s hands steady. He closed his eyes tightly as the blade pierced her flesh. When he pulled it free she took a step back and smiled at him as she faded away.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Sephiroth shouted as he turned away.

“She can heal from this.” Michalei growled. “But she needs certain conditions to do it. I have to get the chamber ready.”

With that said Michalei disappeared. Sephiroth bowed his head and prayed.

“What the hell is happening?” Derek shouted as Ciara’s body began to convulse violently.

“She’s had a miscarriage and she’s bleeding out. If we can’t stop it we’ll lose her.” The doctor shouted. “Prep the operating room now!”

Kira’s eyes suddenly opened. “Domascus,” She glared at him as she lifted her hand to him.

“What have you done woman.” He asked as he ran his fingers through his hair.

She could see the strain in his face as she replied, “Come close to me.”

As he did she shook uncontrollably. Her whole body had begun to grow cold.

“With this sacrifice I bind you.” She smiled. “By the power and the blood shall you never leave this place again.”

“You wouldn’t.” He growled.

“A thousand lives and a thousand years more, you will be tied to Earth where you can do no more harm.” Her chest heaved as he howled out in protest.

“So mote it be.” She said and then she was gone.
