Chapter 34
Chapter 34
Howard’s gaze grew colder.
“The Brown Family was not satisfied, so they are planning to sue J Group for disrupting the market. Ms. Sally is now the representative lawyer for J Group,” Alex finally mustered the courage to say.
Howard stared ahead, his icy gaze without a focal point, leaving everyone unable to guess what he was thinking.
Alex stood by silently, not daring to make a sound.
Logan Family Manor.
“Rina, it’s time for dinner.” Amanda stood at the door, knocking.
But there was no response from inside.
Grace stepped forward. “Amanda, let me try.”
Amanda nodded and stepped aside.
“Rina, it’s mommy. Would you like to come out and have dinner?” Grace knocked on the door.
Still, there was no response from inside.
Just as Grace was about to open the door and go in, Amanda reached out to stop her, expressing her concern. “Let it be,
since she doesn’t want to come downstairs, let’s not force her. I’ll have someone bring the food up to her later.”
Grace could only give up.
“Grace, let’s go downstairs first.”
Grace nodded and supported Amanda as they went downstairs. But before leaving, she couldn’t help but look back, her eyes filled with a menacing glare.
That stubborn little girl seemed to have gotten herself into trouble again.
Amanda had someone bring lunch up to Rina, but not long after, the maid came back downstairs with the tray. “Madam, Ms. Rina refuses to eat.”
“Worthless! Can’t even coax a child to eat?” Amanda scolded in anger.
Grace hurriedly tried to pacify the situation. “Amanda, don’t be angry. Rina has always been like this, and there’s nothing they can do about it. I’ll go up.”
“Fine!” Amanda nodded, her anger subsiding.
Grace took the tray from the maid and quickly went upstairs.
When Grace entered the room, Rina was sitting on the floor, engrossed in building Lego blocks. The Lego set had just been opened yesterday, and she was already close to finishing it today.
“It’s time for dinner.” Grace tossed the tray in front of Rina.
Rina seemed not to notice and continued with her Lego

building, showing no reaction.
Running out of patience, Grace approached angrily and forcefully grabbed Rina’s arm. She was pulling her hard, causing Rina to fall to the ground.
“I’m talking to you, don’t you hear me?”
Still, Rina showed no response, her eyes vacant, like an emotionless puppet.
“I told you to eat.” Grace pushed Rina’s head down towards the food on the tray.
Rina still showed no reaction, as if she didn’t feel any pain, without even resisting.
“So, you want to defy me, huh?”
Grace’s expression twisted, and she forcefully fed the food from the tray into Rina’s mouth.
Rina’s mouth became full, unable to bear it. And she regurgitated the food.
But Grace had no intention of letting her go. She fed her the regurgitated food again.
Half an hour later.
Grace walked downstairs with an empty tray, a smile on her face.
Seeing the empty tray, Amanda wore a satisfied smile. “Grace, you always find a way.”
“Amanda, don’t say that. Rina is my daughter, and taking care

of her is my responsibility,” Grace said with a smile.
Amanda patted Grace’s hand with immense satisfaction, further confirming that bringing Rina into their lives was the right decision.
