Chapter 33
Chapter 33
Cafe downstairs.
Amanda sat on the sofa, crossed her arms. Her gaze cold and piercing as she stared at Sally sitting opposite her.
“Sally, you dared to call off the Logan Family marriage back then, and now you have the audacity to come back?” Amanda’s voice was filled with contempt.
Sally remained calm, her tone flat. “Madam Amanda, you didn’t treat me well back then. Calling off the marriage should be good news for you, right?”
“Sally!” Amanda gritted her teeth in anger.
It had been six years since they last met, and she didn’t expect this wretched woman to be so eloquent now.
“Sally, let me warn you, it’s better for you to stay away from Howard and stop playing any tricks. I think you should know that Howard and Grace already have children, and they will get married sooner or later.”
They hadn’t gotten married yet?
Sally was astonished, and her heart felt like it had been struck.
What was going on?
Weren’t they already having children? Why hadn’t they gotten married yet?
Knowing Grace’s tactics, she would definitely use the children to secure her position.
She also saw how well Howard treated those children.
Amanda noticed Sally’s serious expression and sneered with a mocking smile. “Sally, if you don’t want to be labeled as a homewrecker, you better leave Bomsville and never let me see you again.”
Sally snapped out of her thoughts and regained her calm
composure.
“Madam Amanda, since Grace and Mr. Logan already have children and will eventually get married, there’s no need to worry about whether I’m in Bomsville or not.”
Amanda’s face turned pale and ugly, alternating between green and white.
“But, Madam Amanda, rest assured, I won’t do anything to ruin their relationship. I will leave once I finish my business.”
Even if Howard and Grace hadn’t married, Sally didn’t believe there was any future for her and Howard.
Since she became pregnant with Mia and Kara, she knew she had no chance with Howard.
Amanda let out a disdainful snort. “Consider yourself self-
aware!”
“Madam Amanda, is there anything else? I have work to attend to.” Sally said politely, already getting up from her
seat.
Amanda coldly warned. “Sally. you better remember what you
said today. If you dare to have any ulterior motives, don’t blame me for being unkind to you.”
Sally didn’t respond and left the cafe with her bag.
What ulterior motives could she possibly have? Even if she shamelessly went back to Howard.
Would Howard accept someone who had cheated on him?
Bitterness welled up in Sally’s heart.
Howard didn’t come to the office today. After returning to the company, Sally started to attend to her own matters.
No one mentioned anything about yesterday, not even in private conversations.
ZK International.
Alex knocked on the CEO’s office door and placed a document in front of Howard.
“Mr. Logan, this is the information you requested. Jeremy, male, 28 years old, the overall responsible person for J Group. J Group was previously known as HM Group, and they changed their name only five years ago. They’ve been developing in the country for less than three years.”
Howard picked up the document from the desk, looking at the four words “J Group.” His eyes turned cold, and a chilling aura surrounded him.
Jeremy, Sally.
J Group.
Howard’s hand was holding the document suddenly tightened, crumpling the paper into a ball.
Was that child by Sally’s side belonging to Jeremy?
“Mr. Logan, I found something else.” Alex cautiously spoke
- up.
“Speak!” Howard was filled with fury.
Alex spoke nervously, “I found out that just a couple of days ago, this J Group sold a batch of the same medicine as the Brown Family at the lowest price. Because of their low price, the contract that the Brown Family had negotiated before was canceled, and they signed a contract with J Group instead.”
