Saying Goodbye to My Troubles (Nydia and Mick)

Chapter Saying Goodbye To My Troubles 75

Chapter 75

Nydia looked at Norman with a hint of suspicion,

Norman immediately put on a sad face, wrapping his arms tightly around her neck. Her heart. softened again.

"Forget it. He just wants a hug. There's no ill intention here," she thought as she turned to Eddie. "Mr. Houle, I apologize for the embarrassment."

In the past, she thought marrying Mick was the most wonderful thing. However, now, with Mick still technically her husband, she felt nothing but shame.

"I originally thought that by borrowing the bodyguards from you, we'd be even. But now, it seems I owe you a favor," she said.

Eddie remained expressionless. "Anyone who bullies a woman deserves to be dealt with. It's not a debt of gratitude."

His serious tone made Nydia smile, "I wasn't referring to that. My things are in the study, but it's locked with a passcode." The implication was clear. "Mr. Houle, it's your turn."

Eddie was speechless.

Five minutes later, they were in the study. Nydia quickly packed her things and asked the bodyguards to help move them out.

However, she still couldn't resist asking, "What about Mick?"

The bodyguards looked toward Eddie. He sat on a leather chair nearby, his black pants still crisp and untouched by any creases, his face as indifferent as ever. His voice grew colder. "He won't die."

Nydia was at a loss for words. Big shots did things in a bold, almost ruthless way that felt like lives were just a number to them.

She hesitated for a moment, then reorganized her words and asked again. "What I mean is, now that he's been beaten, he should take the full punishment. Otherwise, he might think that getting hit is a sign of affection."

She wasn't exaggerating. After all, when she had just returned, Mick had looked completely clueless, and she seriously wondered if he actually enjoyed being punished.

Eddie raised an eyebrow, his expression softening like a calm after a storm. "Alright, I'll do it your way," he said.

The bodyguard immediately understood, replying respectfully, "Don't worry, Dr. Vega. We've got Max with him, and it's brought a few of its friends to keep Mr. Wilcher entertained."

His tone was polite, almost too serious for the situation. To prove his point, he walked over and opened the window.

Downstairs, the sound of screaming filled the air

Nydia pressed her lips together, clearly disgusted. "Max didn't even bark when biting such a filthy person, yet he's the one acting all aggrieved?"

Her words made Eddie's lips curl slightly into a smile. The bodyguards finished their tasks and started moving the rest of the things out.

Eddie, rarely interested in others' personal matters, asked, "Anything else you need to be taken?"

Norman surveyed the study's decor, his eyes filled with barely concealed disdain. "This place is so shabby, Ms. Vega. What kind of hard life did you live before?"

He waved dismissively. "Forget about these worn-out things. I'll get you new ones later."

Nydia stared at him, speechless.

"I don't need anything. Everything here will be part of the past. I don't want to hold on to it." Norman clapped his hands happily. "That's great! Uncle Eddie, hurry up and buy Ms. Vega lots of things." "No need, no need. The house I'm renting has everything." Nydia firmly refused.

She knew deep down that Eddie and Norman might seem like they didn't get along, but in reality, Eddie was a complete pushover when it came to his nephew, and Norman adored his uncle like no one else. They both acted indifferent, but deep down, it was clear they would bend over backward for each other.

So, when Norman said something, Eddie would usually act without question.

It was still a bit scary.

Eddie nodded. "Since everything is handled, let's leave this dreadful place."
