Chapter 27
DarkBeauty357
It was the next day after my parents had left with my two younger brothers. I spent most of the morning cleaning the house to keep busy. It was the only way to stop myself from crying because I was really hurting inside. I didn't want to show it though because Alec was very busy.
A tree had fallen and hit two houses, so Alec had to make sure everyone was fine and he had to rehome them. That was more important than my mom practically abandoning me.
Alec had left thirty minutes ago and it was noontime. The house was hardly dirty to start with so it wasn't that hard.
There was a knock on the door and I knew it wasn't Alec. That's when I saw Alice, Xena, Grace, and Christie through the window. I let them in and Xena hugged me immediately.
"Alec told us what happened and he wanted us to check up on you," Xena whispered in my ear.
"He did?" I wondered.
"Yeah, it sucks that you had an argument with your parents," Alice said.
I couldn't hold it in anymore. So I started to cry and they pulled me into a group hug. We sat down on the couch and talked for a while about it.
By the time we were done talking, thirty minutes went by already and I felt a lot better.
"I have an idea." Christie chirped.
"That's never good." Grace sighed.
"I didn't hear you complaining when I dragged you to that club last week."
"No, but I sure heard Rem complain," Grace replied.
"Have you two been hanging out?" Alice asked.
"Yeah, she is actually pretty fun to be around," Grace said.
"What an unusual alliance," Alice stated as she wraps her arm around Xena.
"Anyway, we all need a break so let's go clubbing." She suggested.
"I'm not sure Alec would appreciate that..." I trailed off. Especially since it would most likely be a girl's night out.
"Who cares!" She says.
"I do."
"Eh, my brother can get over himself." Alice said.
"Even if I wanted to. I have nothing to wear." I said smugly. I found a good way to weasel myself out of this.
"I got you covered. We are around the same size." Christie replied with the same smug tone.
"Ugh fine. I guess I can talk to Alec when he gets back."
"Really? Yhat's great because he is already here. See you later." Christie ditched me.
"Yeah, I'm not staying around for this either." Grace laughed.
"What you guys are all leaving!" I gasped.
"Yikes best friend, sorry gotta run!" Xena and Alice both left as Alec came in.
"Hey." I greeted him.
"Why did everyone scatter when I came in?"
"Because Christie wants to take me clubbing tonight."
He started laughing hysterically, "With Christie? Fuck no." He says.
"You don't trust me?" I asked.
"It's not that. I don't trust other guys around you." He said.
"I'm going to be around four other girls. Plus, I am a witch, I can handle myself."
I could tell he was thinking about it, "What are you wearing?"
"Christie said she had something for me."
He groaned, "That's even worse."
I chuckled, "I'm sure it can't be that bad."
He gave me the look. Wrapping me in his arms and resting his chin on my head, he says, "Just be careful, okay?"
"I always will, so is everyone alright?"
"Everyone is fine. Other members gladly told them to stay until the houses were rebuilt." He answered.
"That's good that no one was hurt," I spoke. I was about to say something again but I was interrupted when the broom fell out of nowhere.
"Looks like we are going to be having company soon," I said after jumping in the air.
"What?" Alec questioned.
I placed my hand on his shoulder, "You have a lot to learn about us."
"What kind of company are we talking about?" He said.
"Usually unexpected, but definitely the good kind," I said. "Anyway, I am going to take a shower."
•••••
Christie stopped by the house earlier than what was expected because she wanted to do my makeup and curl my hair, which was now a couple of inches below my shoulders.
By the time Christie was done with me, the other girls had arrived. They were downstairs waiting with Alec.
I never dressed like this before, especially in the short dress that Christie picked out for me. I looked in the mirror and I couldn't recognize myself. I usually don't like makeup because she seemed to enjoy doing it so I let her.
"You look like a model. I can't wait to he sees how hot you are."
"Who?" I dumbly asked.
She smacked my head. "You're mate, dumbass."
"Right." I sheepishly said with a nervous laugh.
"What's wrong?" Christie asked.
"This dress is skin tight and I feel like if I bend over everyone is going to see my butt."
She smirked, "The first rule about a small dress is that you don't bend over. Come on let's go show Alec." She grabbed my arms and dragged me out of the room and down the stairs.
To much surprise, Alec wasn't the only guy there. Rem and Chris were also there mainly for there mates.
The girls were gushing about how pretty I looked but they looked just as good if not better than me. I looked around for Alec and found him in the corner of the room looking down at the ground. A growl that even I heard rippled throughout the room. Everyone tensed up and like cockroaches, they scattered out of the house.
Taking heavy strides, Alec was now in front of me. His face now staring at me. Bright glowing eyes swirling with emotions. Anger and lust.
"You're wearing that?" He gritted out.
"It's not what I'd like to wear. This is the only thing I have."
His yellow eyes and his clenching jaw only made me want him at that moment. His arms slithered around my waist and pulled me closer to him. Closing his eyes and breathing in my scent, when he opened his eyes, Alec was back. I stared at his beautiful eyes.
"Do you have to go?" He said. "You could just stay here with me. I could help you out of that dress."
"I'll be home soon. On the bright side you know I can't get drunk, I'll just be dancing."
"That only makes it worse. All those guys will be over you."
"I only have eyes for you babe," I said.
He smiled and kissed my forehead, "I know."
"I have to go," I said.
"Be safe," He said.
"I always am."
He gave me a long-lasting hug and I felt his eyes linger on me as I walked out the door.
A change of environment swept through the air as I got in the car. The whole way to the club the girls were talking about getting drunk and dancing. They had many conversations that I didn't take part in because I was too focused on missing Alec. Apart of me wanted to just stay home with Alec but I knew that I had to spend time with the girls too. I was excited to get out of the house but I was upset that I couldn't see Alec's face.
After a while of driving, we eventually reached the club. When Christie parked the car, everyone got out and walked to the entrance except for Christie. Christie leaned over the hood of the car and stared at me, "Are you alright?" She asked.
"Yeah," I said in a depressing tone. I didn't mean to but I couldn't help it.
A look of pain flashed on her face, "You miss him don't you?"
I just nodded my head.
"Yeah, I know the feeling." She said and looked down.
I use to go clubbing a lot with Xena at my old pack. Most of the clubs at home were own by werewolves, so we were able to get by the bouncers at a young age.
Christie and I met up with the girls at the bar. I should have known that was the first place they wanted to go. Grace was already ordering rounds of shots for us. It looked like she wanted to forget about today. The usual sadness that surrounded her daily showed stronger today. She must have had a rough day.
After two shots Christie pulled me toward the dance floor.
It was good to let loose every once in a while.
As we were dancing I could see Christie's nose wrinkle slightly every once in a while. One thing I didn't miss as a werewolf was heightened senses.
When we were done dancing Christie led me to a small table were all the girls were. An hour passed by already and Grace was fully drunk and venting.
"I mean why does the moon goddess have to do this to me. I never hurt anyone, but instead, I get locked away for years and endure torture to the point where I'm infertile. I want a child. This is not fair. Honestly, fuck the moon goddess." Grace said. She slurred her words. I was surprised her body allowed her to be this drunk.
I wasn't expecting the last part because Grace was always a sweet girl and she barely cussed. "Everything happens for a reason. Don't blame the moon goddess." I can tell Xena took some offense to her words. Alice and Xena were rubbing her back and attempting to comfort her.
"Have you ever thought of a surrogate mother? I'd be willing to do that for you. There are other ways to have kids." Christie said.
"Not kids of my own blood," Grace replied.
"Excuse me I'll be back. I need to go to the bathroom." I told the girls. I had to cross the club since the bathroom was on the other side.
Pushing past sweaty bodies in my attempt to find the bathroom I easily bumped into some.
I almost lost my footing and fell because it seemed like I ran into a brick wall.
I gulped as I looked at the man's face. Scars across his eyes and cheeks alerted me. A long scar ran across his cheekbones and crossed down his mouth, ending at his chin. His smirk turned into a wicked grin, and his black hair and brown eyes made him look deadly. For some reason, my stomach twisted and churned. I could sense in every bone in my body that he wasn't a good person.
His grip tightened around my arm to the point where it was going to leave a bruise.
"I need to go," I shouted through loud music since we were in the middle of the dance floor.
The way he looked at me made me want to boil his blood right. I could tell he wasn't going to let me go easily, so my body began to heat slowly.
Eventually, the man released me in a hiss of pain looking at the palm of his hand which was burned. I knew it was going to blister, but he was a werewolf so it would heal within an hour.
His eyes went back to my body. "Smoking hot, literally. I'll see you again." He smirked as he disappeared into the crowd.
He left me utterly confused, but at least I could breathe again.
Hours went by and I tried to have fun with everyone but the encounter with mystery man really ruined my night. I hope it would get better.
While I was dancing on the dance floor, I felt hands touch my hips. I stopped swaying to the music and turned around.
"Get off."
The random guy didn't listen so I had to forcefully remove his hands myself. That made the human mad that I could easily move him.
"Please, leave me alone," I begged. I really didn't want anymore encounters with anyone else.
The human seemed to not want to leave until a deep voice was heard from behind me, "She said leave." I change my mind, I wouldn't mind this encounter at all.
The human scattered away with fear in his eyes.
I turned around and my smile was radiant. "Alec!" I jumped into his arms. He wrapped his arms around me and lifted me slightly up as he hugged me. "I missed you," I said.
He buried his nose in my neck and inhaled my scent. "I did too."
"I want to go home," I told him.
"I want to get you out of this dress." He said seductively in my ear.
"Then help me take it off," I whispered back. His arms tightened around me and his eyes flash for a split second. He lowered me to the floor and grabbed my hand.
We both went to the exit. I knew the others would be fine because Christie was going to be the designated driver. On my way out I saw Christie look at me and wink. My cheeks heated slightly.
When we got home the first thing Alec did was pick me up and kiss me.
I wrapped my legs around him and my arms were wrapped around his neck.
His arms slid down to my butt.
The way our lips moved in sync was enough to set off butterflies in my stomach. I literally felt sparks across my skin; goosebumps showed on every inch of my skin. Pulling away for a brief second to breathe I whimpered a little bit. At this point I wouldn't mind dying to kiss him, breathing was unnecessary anyway.
His eyes looked dark and he stared into my face. He was hungry for me and I was hungry for him too.
With his long heavy strides, we reached his bedroom in no time.
He placed me down on the bed and attacked my neck with his kisses. I moaned and slightly pulled his hair.
He looked at me intensely, "Are you sure you want this?"
"I've never wanted anything more in my life," I said.
