Chapter 59
Chapter 59
Only then did Elizabeth realize that she was in tears. She pushed Andrew away in a sorry state.
Elizabeth wiped her face hard with the back of her hand and pretended to be fierce. “I spattered my eyes with spicy chicken. stock just now.”
“Alright. Whatever you say.”
Looking at the stubborn Elizabeth in front of him, Andrew suppressed the hidden joy in his heart and pulled her to the bathroom. “Since the chili entered your eyes, you have to wash your eyes with water.”
“You!” Elizabeth glared at Andrew and shook his hand off. “You don’t have to worry about me.
“If you have the time, why don’t you ask your childhood sweetheart to let me go?
“I don’t understand. I have registered my marriage and gotten my marriage certificate. Why would I be infamous as a
mistress?”
Andrew’s delighted expression was replaced by anger. “Who said that?
“You’ve never been a mistress. I’m innocent with anyone.”
Elizabeth laughed mockingly and looked up at Andrew. “You dare to make such a promise, will she dare?
“Forget it. It’s useless to talk to you.”
“You don’t recognize me?” Andrew looked at Elizabeth in depression and chuckled. “I thought you could…”
“Is there a difference?” Elizabeth interrupted Andrew. “You weren’t any better just now.”
With that, Elizabeth turned around and picked up the broken phone on the ground, not looking at Andrew deliberately. She lowered her head and handed the phone to him. “I hope you can deal with your crazy wooers. Don’t let them trouble me. Thank you!”
“Sorry.” Andrew’s voice was soft.
Andrew ignored those annoying rumors on purpose because he wanted to see how jealous Elizabeth would be and how important he was to Elizabeth.
He didn’t expect that things would go on like this.
—
“Okay,” Elizabeth replied perfunctorily and turned to go upstairs.
“Liz.” Andrew stopped Elizabeth and walked over to block her. “L”
Elizabeth’s face was still stained with tears, and her expression was indifferent. Andrew looked at her and was momentarily speechless.
Elizabeth looked up at him without saying a word.
‘I’ll find out who did it. I’m sorry. You won’t be bothered again, I promise, Andrew said with certainty.
Elizabeth smiled stiffly and nodded. “I hope so.”
Her distrustful attitude and perfunctory answer made Andrew a little flustered.
Andrew reached out to grab Elizabeth, but Elizabeth turned sideways and dodged his outstretched hand easily.
Without hesitation, she went upstairs.
Elizabeth’s slender back looked weak, and her waist swayed slightly as she left determined.
Andrew looked at the stairs until he could not see Elizabeth. Then, he lowered his head and chuckled mockingly.
It seemed that he had been attracted by Elizabeth earlier and more profoundly than Elizabeth did.
What should he do?
The interview about Sophia completely disappeared from the Internet that night.
Andrew even logged into his verified social account, stating that he was married and loved his wife deeply and that he and Sophia were just friends. The Hayes Group would call to account anyone who slandered Andrew and Sophia.
Chapter 59
The lawyer’s letter cooled down the discussions online.
Sophia was furious when she saw Andrew’s statement, yet she still refused to stand out and explain.
The matter seemed to be over.
However, Lexi was unwilling to give up.
She went to an internet cafe and hired several young people to use the software to call Elizabeth.
At noon, the Hayes Group announced that they had called the police. The police caught a few paid posters, who had been harassing Andrew’s wife for a long time, and educated them.
“Bastard. Bastard!”
Lexi was furious “Elizabeth, why are you so lucky? You’re just a piece of trash who was ostracized and forced to go overseas. You just hooked up with Andrew. Why are so smug?
“I won’t let you off. Just wait and seef”
The exasperated Lexi went to Katherine and scolded Elizabeth to vent her anger.
“I told you not to make things difficult for her that day.” Katherine pretended to feel pity for Lexi and held her hand. “Forget it. Don’t go against her again. We can’t afford to offend her.”
Lexi gritted her teeth in anger. “Who does she think she is?
“Don’t worry, Kathy. I must let her know that Andrew doesn’t like her but Sophia!”
Katherine smiled and did not reply.
She cursed inwardly, “You idiot! Didn’t you even go online and read the latest news? Andrew had posted a lawyer’s letter!”
Katherine was a little frustrated.
Kaida did not teach her what to do at such a time.
Katherine’s silence was mistaken as sadness by Lexi.
Lexi held Katherine’s hand tightly. “I’ve thought of a way. Wait for my good news!”
With that, Lexi ran out in a hurry.
Katherine looked at the open door and rolled her eyes in frustration.
She thought disdainfully. “What a brainless idiot! You deserve to be cannon fodder for me.”
The next day.
Lexi spent a lot of money to bribe the servants in Andrew’s villa and sneaked in from the back door wearing a sunhat and sunglasses.
In the paper bag Lexi was carrying was a lot of Andrew and Sophia’s photos.
Later, Lexi was going to scatter the photos all over the villa and hide in a corner to watch Elizabeth’s angry, crazy, and heart–wrenching look.
“I don’t believe that you can keep pretending.” Lexi’s smile was twisted as she ran to the second floor quickly and stuffed the photos into every room.
Unexpectedly, when Lexi walked to the window at the end of the corridor, she happened to see Elizabeth sitting leisurely in the back garden and reading a book.
Elizabeth, basking in the sun, looked like a lazy cat and couldn’t be more comfortable.
Lexi’s eyes were attracted by Elizabeth. The more she looked at Elizabeth, the angrier she became.
She thought with strong hatred in her heart, “Elizabeth, because of you, half of my living expenses were deducted! My brother even restricts me from swiping my bank cards. Now, I cannot afford to buy a new bag, and I was mocked by my
friends!
“However, you are actually sitting in the garden reading and admiring the flowers!
“How can you be so relaxed?
“You are a home wrecker who snatched someone else’s fiance. What right do you have to live such a carefree life?”
Anger and jealousy completely destroyed Lexi’s rationality.
Chapter 59
Clutching a few photos she had yet to throw out, Lexi dashed down the stairs and into the back garden.
The closer Lexi got to Elizabeth, the heavier her breathing became. Her cars even began to buzz because she was extremely
furious.
“Elizabeth. Elizabeth!” She called out Elizabeth’s name in a low voice through gritted teeth as if she wanted to tear Elizabeth
apart.
The few photos in Lexi’s hand were no longer enough to cause any harm.
Lexi tiptoed and inched toward Elizabeth carefully.
She swept back and forth in the garden, and her eyes were finally fixed on the shovel, which was casually placed in the bushes in the garden.
“Huh.”
Lexi laughed softly, picking up the shovel on the ground and holding it tightly in her hand. She walked behind Elizabeth and raised it high.
Lexi roared in her heart, “Does she have the right to be so relaxed?
“No! She had to cry.
“She had to be miserable.
“She was a piece of trash who had been chased out of the country. She did not have the right to lead such a good life!”
