Seeing that Jenny still stubbornly refused to admit her mistake, Giselle didn’t say anything, but some colleagues started speaking up for Giselle. 

“Jenny, stop questioning the ring. Honestly, there’s enough proof now…” 

Yeah, the receipt is right there, and the transaction record too. There’s no way this can be fake, right?” 

“Why do you keep doubting? We all believe Giselle anyway!” 

“You should hurry up and find the ring. 20.000 dollars is no small sum!” 

Jenny glared at the people who were speaking up for Giselle. 

Damn! They actually dared to support Giselle openly! Weren’t they afraid she would fire them? 

Little did Jenny know, some people had been secretly dissatisfied with Jenny’s behavior, and they now had the courage to speak up because Giselle had recently taken charge of the collaboration with Pino Capital. 

They spoke up for Giselle, knowing that if Jenny tried to make things difficult for them and wanted to kick them out of the company, Giselle would definitely step in to help. 

Previously, most people kept quiet out of fear of Jenny’s power, but now that Giselle had gained some support, they were no longer afraid of Jenny. 

The situation at Domino Media was quietly changing. 

Giselle looked at Jenny calmly and repeated, “Apologize.” 

Jenny had never experienced such an embarrassing moment before. The stares from the people around her felt like knives stabbing into her. 

For someone like Jenny, who had always been the center of attention, she wished she could dig a hole in the ground and 

crawl into it! 

Jenny almost bit her tongue in frustration, tasting blood in her mouth. 

Hymes beside Giselle protectively stood by her. His gaze was cold, as if he would show no mercy if she didn’t apologize. 

Jenny was scared, “I, I…” 

Just as Jenny was about to apologize, Mickey, who had been out, hurried back in. “What’s going on?” 

Mickey scolded them, being protective as a boyfriend and shielding Jenny behind him. “Giselle! What are you trying to do to Jenny?” 

Hymes spoke up for Giselle, “Nothing much. Just asking your narrow–minded, petty girlfriend to apologize to my wife.” 

Hymes was taller and more imposing than Mickey, and as for his face, there was simply no comparison. 

Hymes smirked sarcastically. 

Giselle calmly said, “This was Jenny’s promise earlier. If the ring my husband bought for me is really worth 20,000 dollars, she has to apologize to me.” 

Mickey was taken aback. “Jenny, did you really promise that?” 

Jenny complained bitterly, “How could I know that her ring was really worth 20,000 dollars? How could they afford it? They’re so poor!” 

Mickey also couldn’t understand how Giselle’s husband could possibly have that ability. 

But the facts were right in front of Mickey, and he couldn’t deny it. 

“Mr. Blake, please don’t interrupt our conversation. Jenny, I order you to apologize to me right now!” 

This wasn’t something the police could handle. Their job was to investigate the whereabouts of the ring. 

Mickey hesitated as he looked at Jenny. “Maybe you should just…” 

Jenny’s eyes were red, and she appeared utterly embarrassed. However, she had to keep her promise. 

“Fine, I apologize!” Jenny yelled in frustration. “Okay, I was wrong. I couldn’t recognize the real value of your ring!” 

Giselle smirked. “Alright, I forgive you.” 

Giselle’s easy forgiveness and indifferent attitude made Jenny feel even more humiliated. 

Stomping her foot, Jenny couldn’t bear the shame any longer and ran away. 

Mickey hurriedly followed her. 

Hymes gently brushed Giselle’s cheek with his fingertips. “Well done.” 

Their affectionate display made the coworkers envious. At that moment, the police suddenly announced, “Found it. The ring 

is here!” 

The ring was eventually found in a restroom, placed in an inconspicuous corner beside a drain. 

But it didn’t look like it could have fallen there on its own. 

It seemed likely that someone had deliberately placed it there, but Giselle didn’t want to pursue the matter any further. 

After all, for Kevin’s sake, it was best not to make a big fuss. 

The case was closed at the police station, and the matter was put to rest.

Giselle told Hymes, “I knew it was Jenny all along. She wanted to expose me in public, revealing that the ring was a fake.” 

Unfortunately for jenny, the ring was indeed genuine, a Tiffany–brand piece and truly expensive. 

Jenny had also underestimated what Hymes could do for Giselle. 

Giselle couldn’t help but take Hymes‘ hand. “You’re willing to spend so much money on this ring for me. Did you never worry I’d run away with it?” 

“It’s only 20,000 dollars. Besides…” Hymes leaned down and playfully nuzzled Giselle’s nose, His eyes were filled with laughter. Td chase you down even if you ran away.” 

Giselle blushed, unable to meet his gaze. 

“I need to get back to the office and handle some things. You don’t need to see me off!” Giselle said hastily. 

But Hymes had no time to spare. Before coming, he had been about to attend an important meeting but had dropped everything when Giselle called. 

If he didn’t return soon, it would affect a crucial partnership. 

Once he left, Hymes‘ gentle demeanor disappeared. 

As he got into the car, Leo in the passenger seat asked, “Boss, what’s our next move?” 

The game is more interesting if played slowly. You know what to do.” 

Elsewhere, Mickey had followed Jenny out of the office, comforting her for a while. Only after a long while did he manage to cheer her up. 

Feeling terrible, Jenny buried her face in his chest and sobbed. “How can I stay at the office after this?”
