Chapter 69
Chapter 69
Giselle was too shy to describe how she felt at that moment, even though the lingering warmth of that kiss had faded.
But her soul seemed to tremble for that fleeting touch.
[It felt much better than I expected.] Giselle said.
Kila sighed. [You can tell your husband is great just by looking at him. You’ve got to hold onto such a good man and not let anyone steal him away.]
Giselle responded: [If someone could take him away, what’s the point of me being here?]
[Well, that’s not exactly the point. Even though you trust him enough, you should still be cautious… you never know who might try something sneaky.]
Kila, being a lawyer, had dealt with many divorce cases and had seen too many once–loving couples turn bitter during the process.
So her reminders were indeed out of concern for Giselle.
[I know, but I still want to trust him!] Giselle said.
Since she was already married to Hymes, she would wholeheartedly maintain their relationship.
Changing the subject, Giselle added: [Tomorrow I’ll go out with him. Next time, I’ll see if there’s a chance to invite Mr. Desmund.]
[You’re such a good friend! You’re still thinking of me even now!] Kila exclaimed.
Giselle laughed softly, staring at her phone. Kila had told her about the awkward situation when she left with Neville.
Although it was a complete failure, and Kila didn’t get any useful information from Neville, she hadn’t given up hope yet.
If there were a next time, she believed she would perform better.
Giselle took her friend’s words to heart and hoped to help out without causing trouble for Hymes.
Looking forward to their day out, Giselle went to bed early and didn’t live stream.
So, without seeing the messages from the account she had logged out of, countless private messages poured in…
The next morning, Giselle got up and prepared herself. After washing up, she put on light makeup, with a touch of pink on her lips that made her look fresh and youthful. Her fair skin was flawless.
She wore a light blue sporty outfit that made her look like an innocent college student.
As she came downstairs, Hymes‘ gaze lingered on her, wrapping her in a thick, heated embrace.
Giselle’s heart raced, and she hurriedly went down the stairs. “I’m starving. Is breakfast ready?”
Dodging the subject, Hymnes smirked. “Yes, let’s eat and then head out.”
“Where are you taking me today?”
Giselle asked with anticipation.
This would be their first official outing since getting married.
Hymes teased her, “I’m taking you to a different kind of place.”
Giselle was extremely curious about the unique plaer Hymes mentioned
On their way, she pondered many possibilities but didn’t guess correctly.
Hymes drove toward the suburbs, finally cropping at a racetrack
“Here… Giselle got out of the car, urible to hide her setonishment “Are we going to race care
Hymes wearing a jacket, had sharp inwlines.
He leaned against the car door and smiled. Do you like it?
Giselle’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Bymes How did you know I have this hobby
To most people, Giselle was a delicate beauty with the grace of a lady, wearing dresses that accentuated her charm.
But few knew that she also had a wild side.
Giselle was the type of person who could go on roller coasters, swings, and pirate ships at amusement parks without even blinking
Bungee jumping and skydiving, extreme sports like these were always what she enjoyed.
And car racing too.
Although Giselle had never tried it, she often watched Formula 1 races during college and yearned for the thrill of such high–speed excitement.
This was probably the least known part of Giselle’s personality, even her ex–boyfriend Mickey, whom she had been dating for over a year, had no idea.
After all, most of the time, Giselle led a well–ordered life, having studied her way from a small town to a big city, and then settling down here. She needed to support herself and contribute to her family.
So, she didn’t have much energy to fully indulge in her passions.
Even her job had made her less enthusiastic about going out. On weekends, she preferred staying at home, becoming more and more of a homebody.
But deep down, there still remained an unyielding youthful spirit, which Hymes had managed to bring out enurely.
Hymes replied, “There was a Formula 1 race on TV just a few days ago. You were glued to it for a long time, so I thought you’d be interested in this
Even the smallest detail in her life was important to Hymes
He paid such close”
“on to her…
Suddenly Giselic was no longer shy
She took a step forward, stood on her tiptoes, and unexpectedly leaned in to give Hymes a kiss on the check.
She sintled warmly and said. “Thank you I love your plan
This was more fun and exciting for her than going shopping watching movies, or having coffee together.
After the kiss, Giselle finally felt a little shy and quickly turned around to walk toward the racetrack
Hymes behind her raised hus hand to rub has check, the smule on his lips growing more pronounced
The place they had come to was a newly renovated racetrack, not yet fully operational
Upon entering, Giselle was a bit worried. “How can we get in? Will they let us in?”
I’ve already arranged everything. Don’t worry.”
Giselle looked around. “Can we rent a car too?”
Hymes replied nonchalantly, “Yes, but for safety reasons, there will be speed limitations.”
After all, they weren’t professional race car drivers, so they couldn’t reach breakneck speeds. Still, even just racing around the track a couple of times would be a rare and exciting experience in their lives.
Giselle was completely surprised by his plan. “How did you manage to do this?”
She recalled that such places usually didn’t allow visitors on the racetrack. Giselle had previously visited another international race circuit but could only walk around the grandstand.
Or explore some empty backstage areas, but never set foot on the racetrack itself.
So the fact that Hymes could arrange this for her was both a surprise and a delight.
“It just so happened.” Hymes walked beside Giselle, shielding her from the sunlight, and explained seriously, “I know a client who has some friends here, so I asked for a favor.”
Giselle suddenly understood. “I see. Your clients have a good relationship with you because they’re willing to help you.”
“Yeah, after working together… there’s still a chance for future collaboration.”
Giselle, in a good mood, praised Hymes. “My husband is amazing.”
Hymes paused for a moment, his tone teasing. “What did you just call me, hmm?”
