Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 87
“Is there no possibility of reconciliation?” Maria asked.
“No,” Adam replied firmly.
“Thank you for being honest with me,” Maria paused before continuing, “I already
know that you and Lumma are preparing for a divorce. Please do not tell her yet. I need
to figure out how to break the news to her.”
“Okay.” Adam agreed.
After Adam left, Maria spent a long time thinking as she leaned against the hospital
bed. Finally, she made up her mind and called Lumma.
Lumma, who was sleeping, was awakened by the phone’s ringing. She heard Maria’s
joyful voice when she answered. “Lumma, Lucas came to see me. He is handsome and
considerate. He arranged for me to be transferred to a single room and arranged for two
nurses to take care of me. He thinks of everything. Today, when you finish work, rest well and do not come to the hospital.”
“Okay, Grandma. Remember to eat on time. I will come to see you tomorrow after
work.” Lumma was grateful to Lucas, and she sent him a thank-you message: [Mr.
Bergman, thank you for visiting my grandmother. Maria is very happy now!]
After Lumma sent a message, a new message popped up on her WhatsApp.
[Lumma, it’s Louisa. I’m in Red Pine City, and I would like to invite you to dinner. Would
you be interested?]

Lumma was feeling hungry and had a good impression of Louisa, so she readily accepted the invitation: [Where should we
meet? I’ll come over.]
Louisa promptly sent her the address and said: [I’ll be waiting for you.]
Adam saw the message from his wife and snorted. “Stu pid woman!”
Callum handed him a cigarette and said, “Adam, which woman upset you?”
Adam put away his phone and asked, “What should we eat tonight?”
Callum replied, “Ask my wife later. We’ll have whatever she wants.

Adams Inclded and teased “What’s wrong? You’re whipped?”
Callum storted. “I just want my wife to be in charge. Unlike some people, who act like they’re still single after getting married and
don’t want anyone to control them.”
Louisa was in Red Pine City today to promote a new play. As the event had just ended, she changed into casual clothes and
walked over to Callum, giving him a kiss on the cheek. “Honey, I made plans to have dinner with a friend tonight, so I won’t be
able to accompany you. You and Mr. Hills can have some alone time.”
Upon hearing this, Callum gritted his teeth and said, “Louisa, I gave up an important job to come to Red Pine City with you for
this promotion. Are you really going to ditch me and go out with someone else?”
Louisa retorted, “It’s not like I asked you to come. You begged to come along.”
Callum threatened. “Louisa, if you dare to leave me, I’ll kill you!”
Louisa glared at him and walked away. Callum instantly became frightened and chased after her like a dog, begging, “Babe, I’m
sorry. Take me with you!”
Louisa refused and said, “No way. I made plans with Luma, and she probably doesn’t

want to see you. So, you’re not allowed to come with me.”
“Wait, Lumma? Adam’s assistant?” Callum asked.
“Yes,” Louisa replied.
“When did you become so close?” Callum asked.
“It’s hard to explain girl-to-girl friendships to you men,” Louisa retorted, pushing away Callum’s hand, “Don’t follow me, or I’ll
really get angry.”
Callum watched helplessly as his wife, Louisa, walked away. He then turned to Adam
and asked, “Adam, do you want to come with us?”
Adam calmly smoked his cigarette and replied, “Why bother? My wife isn’t here.”
“Then why don’t you turn your assistant into your wife?” Callum joked.

Callum raised his hand and patted Adam’s shoulder. “Are you going to say she’s married again? No what if she’s married? Can’t
she got divorced? Give her husband some money and make him go away he’ll be yours.”
Adam bent down and put out his cigarette, looking coldly at Callum. “She’s not someone you can joke around with.”
Callum laughed. “Are you protecting her?”
Adam replied, “Protecting her? I just can’t stand people who casually make jokes about
women.”
Callum agreed. “Okay, whatever you say. Let’s not talk about her and go eat.”
Adam was very stubborn and couldn’t tolerate anyone speaking ill of his assistant. He refused to admit any of those things.
Perhaps it wasn’t that he didn’t want to admit, but rather that he had never been in love
before and didn’t know how to love someone, let alone understand what it feels like to

love someone.
Louisa was a popular movie star who caused a stir wherever she went. Therefore, for their dinner date, she chose Cloud
Restaurant, which was known for its emphasis on customer privacy.
Cloud Restaurant used to have a membership system, and becoming a member was no easy feat. After multiple rounds of
screening, only the affluent were able to secure a membership. Nevertheless, they didn’t have to worry about papa ra zzi
snapping photos
of them.
Louisa was very enthusiastic, and upon meeting Lumma, she immediately gave her a big hug, “Lama, I missed you so much!”
Lumma was more of a slow-burner in terms of her personality and was not very good at socializing in everyday life. Compared to
Louisa’s outgoing nature, she seemed reserved. “Thank you, Mrs. Park, for remembering me.”
“We’re friends, so don’t call me Mrs. Park. Just call me Louisa.” Louisa pulled Lumma to the seat and looked at her. “Why do I
feel like you’ve lost a lot of weight since last month? Your complexion is also not as rosy as before. Is work too tiring?”
