Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 113
Lumma didn’t drink much and was still sober. She planned to take a shower first and go to bed early at night. Only after she had
a good rest could she have the energy to deal with the meeting tomorrow.
When she took off her clothes, she found that the bracelet that old Mr. White gave to Adam’s wife was still on her wrist.
Lumma immediately took off the bracelet, cleaned it, and put it back into the box. Then she went upstairs to find Adam with the
box.
She knocked on the door and said, “Mr. Hills, I’m here to give you the gift from old Mr. White for your wife. Could you come out
and take it?”
No one answered.
Lumma guessed that Adam must be drunk. He drank a lot during the meal. On the way back, he leaned against the back seat of
the car and closed his eyes for rest, without saying a word.
Lumma hurried downstairs to fetch a glass of water and then brought it upstairs.
She knocked on Adam’s door again, but Adam still didn’t answer. Was he allergic to alcohol again?
Thinking of this, Lumma pushed the door with worry. The unlocked door was pushed open.
The light was off in the room, and the curtain was closed. The room was so dark that Lumma couldn’t see clearly what was going
on inside.
“Mr. Hills, may I come in?” Lumma turned on the light and saw Adam reclining on the sofa.
His face was pale and cold sweat dripped from his forehead as if he had lost consciousness.
Lumma was taken aback. “Mr. Hills, what’s wrong with you?”
Adam didn’t give her any response. Lumma wanted to make an emergency call, but she didn’t bring her phone upstairs. When
she was about to go downstairs to get her phone, Adam suddenly grabbed her arm and said, “I’m fine.”

Lumma said worriedly, “Look at your pale face. You are not fine at all. Give me your phone. I’ll call the ambulance right away, or
ask Dr. Cohan to come here as soon as possible.”
Adam said, “I have the medicine from Dr. Cohan in my suitcase. It’s a white bottle with yellow pills. Please bring it for me.”
Lumma followed his order, took the medicine, and gave him a glass of hot water. “Do you know what’s wrong with you?”
Adam took the medicine and smiled lightly. “It’s not a big problem. I’ll be fine after taking the medicine and resting for a while.”
But he didn’t seem to be fine. Lumma was still worried. “Don’t you really need to go to the hospital?”
“No, thanks. You go ahead with your work and just leave me alone.” Adam closed his eyes and didn’t intend to talk to Lumma
anymore.
Lumma had to leave.
Adam said he was fine, but Lumma didn’t believe that at all. She called Dr. Cohan as soon as she went downstairs, “Dr. Cohan,
Mr. Hills is not feeling well. Please come and have a look.”
Laura said on the phone, “He has a stomachache. I’ve prepared medicine for him this morning. Remember to remind him to take
it on time. Please keep an eye on his diet these days. Don’t let him eat spicy food or drink.”
Lumma’s face turned pale. “Dr. Cohan, he drank at noon.”
“What?” Laura was so anxious that she raised her voice. “He ate a lot last night and had a stomachache this morning. Now he
drank at noon. Does he want to die?
