On the deck, Joanna was in the middle of a heated argument with another woman, Hannah Egan. She was shoved against the railing, and as she glanced down, all she could see was the vast sea.

Joanna gripped Hannah’s arms tightly, her eyes wide with fear. Her breath came in ragged gasps as she scanned the crowd for the one person.

“Win… Win, save me.”

Hannah sneered, her grip tightening around Joanna’s neck. “You’re nothing but a mistress! How dare you come between them!” she snarled.

Right then, a murmur spread through the crowd, and someone remarked softly, “Mr. Greer is here.”

Hannah stepped forward upon hearing that. She glared at Joanna and spat out, “Do you know who sent me? It was Millie Caldwell!”

Winston’s steps came to an abrupt stop, while Joanna was in disbelief.

“What?”

Hannah continued through gritted teeth, “Mr. Greer and Ms. Caldwell were perfectly happy until you came along. Don’t you think you deserve to die?”

Sean hurried over to the scene. Just as he was about to push his way through the crowd, he spotted Millie standing on the sidelines.

She listened to Hannah’s accusations with an icy expression.

“Millie,” Sean called out as he approached.

Millie glanced at him, then noticed Winston making his way into the crowd.

His gaze was sharp and intimidating. Standing several feet away from the two women, he demanded, “What did you say? Repeat that.”

Hannah was somewhat anxious at the sight of Winston. But in the next second, she raised her chin and asked, “What do you want to know, Mr. Greer?

“Tell me, who sent you? Winston asked with a stoic expression.

Hannah chuckled before saying, ‘Mr. Greer, do you really have no idea what your wife is capable of?”

Winston’s gaze shifted to Joanna, who was still pressed against the railing. Her eyes brimmed with tears as she pleaded, “Win ve me. I’m scared, Win.

She cast another glance at the ocean. Although she wasn’t truly terrified of the sea, the thought of falling into the freezing water on this cold October night was enough to make her shudder.

What would happen to Millie if she fell into the sea? Joanna couldn’t help but feel a twinge of excitement at the thought. She was confident that she could finally get rid of her soon.

Once Millie was out of the picture, nothing would stand between Joanna and Winston. And no one would ever discover that she had pretended to be Millie to save him.

“Let Joanna go,” Winston ordered, his voice cold but calm.

With a sharp voice, Hannah retorted, “Mr. Greer, I was paid to do a job. If I let her go now, I won’t be able to explain myself.“*

Winston narrowed his eyes. “What exactly did she ask you to do to Joanna?”

“Ms. Caldwell said Joanna is terrified of the ocean, so she should die here.*

As Hannah spoke, she suddenly shoved Joanna with a forceful push. The latter let out a terrified scream, and the onlookers gasped and shouted too.

With a frown, Winston took another step forward. After witnessing countless self–staged acts from Joanna, he found it hard to believe that this time was real.

After all, Millie was now emotionally detached and uninterested in getting involved with Winston. So why would she hire someone to harm Joanna?

Besides, she wasn’t foolish enough to orchestrate something so publicly. The idea of Millie hiring a young woman to loudly announce that she was

sent by her was absurd.

“Go ahead, push her,” Winston suddenly said with a smile.

A hint of confusion flickered in Joanna’s and Hannah’s eyes. What did Winston say? Did he really just ask Hannah to push Joanna?

Even Millie was somewhat surprised. Wasn’t he supposed to be the one who cherished Joanna the most?

At that moment, Joanna cried out even more desperately, “Win, what are you doing? I’m scared! Please, save me!”

But the more she cried, the more irritated Winston felt.
