Her Heart Her Terms (Lily and Xavier)

Chapter 358

Chapter 358

The car came to a sudden halt with the brakes screeching sharply. Both Sarah and Xavier were thrown forward.

Xavier's forehead bumped against the back of the front seat, and a plastic chip poked into his skin. The pain instantly woke him up a little.

Sarah wasn't socky. She collided sideways with the back of the front seat, and half her face was throbbing in pain.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Fulton and Ms. Lynde. There was a stray call Timothy stuttered and looked at them through the rearview mirror.

Xavier unknowingly released Sarah's wrist during that sudden jolt. His palm was empty, and a sharp pain shot through his head. After a while, he leaned back again.

He thought he had dreamt of Lily Hedreamt of the time before she became unreasonable, when they spent peaceful nights together, and scenes of their intimate moments.

The Lily of that time was as gentle as ever. She would stroke his cheek with eyes full of love and tenderness.

It was indeed a dream and the opposite of reality. Just thinking about how Lily looked at him with cold indifference now made a surge of anger rise from deep within Xavier Sarah sat back down and quietly observed Timothy. She wondered where a stray cat could come from on this wide road in the middle of the city. Sarah worried that Timothy had seen her actions just now.

She felt uneasy, worrying that her intentions would be exposed before she could take things further with Xavier.

But after observing Timothy throughout the journey to her house, he didn't say anything. It was only then that Sarah breathed a sigh of relief and got out of the car Timothy took Xavier back to the company by himself. There was no work to deal with, but Xavier had treated the company like home lately. He was practically living there now. Timothy drove quickly the entire way, his heart in his throat. He had seen! He saw Sarah stroking Xavier's cheek and even tried to kiss him. But then he thought he might have been imagining i

Timothy wasn't sure if he should tell Xavier, but he worried be might have been mistaken. If that was the case, it might create a misunderstanding between Xavier and Sarah He was tom the entire way.

When the car stopped in the parking lot, Xavier opened the door and got out first.

"Go back early, and stay safe," Xavier said without turning back and reminded Timothy before striding up the stairs. Timothy finally gave up and decided not to say anything. He clearly knew that Xavier purely viewed Sarah as his employee Xavier would never tolerate having a subordinate who had inappropriate thoughts about him. It would only affect his work.

If he had mentioned it, Xavier would definitely want to take action against Sarah, and it would affect their work

But if it was a misunderstanding, then he would have unjustly accused Sarah of something she didn't do.

Timothy restarted the engine and drove home.

Lily had left the restaurant and was waiting by the roadside when Hayden caught up with her. He said, "Llly, I'm coming to your place tonight"

"No, go home. I don't have the space for you." Lily rejected him. She thought for a moment and added, "My relationship with Mom and Dad isn't improving, so don't waste your efforts in the future."

Hayden frowned. "They promised me they wouldn't say anything unpleasant when they came, but it's hard to change their temper. Maybe they just couldn't hold back. "Don't bother arguing with them. Just come home with me. It's better than living alone away from home."

He felt sorry for Lily living in a small place, without a warm meal when she got home. If Lily could set aside her differences with Bobby and Hazel, she could at least live more comfortably

But he had no idea that Bobby and Hazel's intention to coax Lily was just to have her go on a blind date. Lily looked at Hayden's innocent face and couldn't bear to shatter his Image of their parents.
