Her Heart Her Terms (Lily and Xavier)

Chapter 357

Chapter 357

Xavier's slightly closed eyes suddenly snapped open, his gaze on Sarah was intense. That look made Sarah's heart race uncontrollably. Now that Xavier and Lily were divorced, it should be her-

"Are you new to the industry? Are you choosing business talks, drinking, and clients based on their character? Xander's displeasure kept pouring in, one after another. It instantly shattered Sarah's fantasies. She was stunned, and her eyes widened involuntarily.

As the vice president of the company, what she should be doing was drinking like crazy at the table, maintaining the company's performance, and protecting her position

As long as her survival was guaranteed, making sure the client had a good time and securing the deal was the most basic thing to do.

But she always felt that she was different in Xavier's eyes.

"Can you do it? If not, let Timothy do it." Xavier grabbed a cigarette pack from the table and stood up, heading outside.

As he stepped outside, he lit a cigarette. The flame illuminated his face, and it revealed all the dissatisfaction in his eyes

At that moment, Sarah suddenly realized that in Xavier's eyes, she was just the vice president of Nova Group. She was no one special at all.

"Ms. Lynde, even Mr. Fulton can't handle it. It's your turn now," Steven sat next to her, holding a glass of wine.

She still stubbornly stared at Xader, but Xavier didn't even look back as he left. The door to the private room slowly closed behind him.

At the end of the hallway, there was a smoking area with a half-open window. The night wind was strong and hiring as Xavier stood there smoking. The icy wind accompanying the sharp nicotine smoke filled his lungs. It was a mix of warmth and coldness. After two cigarettes to dull the effects of alcohol, he returned to the private room.

Steven had a high tolerance for alcohol, and Sarah had been made to drink quite a lot. After Xavier returned, he drank two more rounds before the dinner finally ended.

A1 11:00 pm, Timothy first went to the basement to bring the car. Sarah helped Xavier out of the restaurant and waited outside.

Having not socialized for a long time, Xavier felt dizzy after having too much to drink. He leaned against a pillar at the restaurant's entrance, and his head tilted slightly. Sarah gazed at him with infatuation in her eyes. The alcohol had subdued the bitterness from the little incident from earlier, where Xavier didn't care about her at all. The thought of Lily having divorced Xavier filled her mind, and she wondered what she should do next. Perhaps she was too elated, but she couldn't think of anything yet. Timothy drove the car over and got out after he parked it. "Ms. Lynde, please lend a hand."

"Olory." Sarah snapped out of her thoughts. She supported Xavier with one arm and wrapped her other arm around his waist as she bent to get into the car.

Sarah and Xavier sat in the back as Timothy went to the front of the car to drive. The interior of the car was pitch black, with occasional flashes of street lights that shone on Xavier's face.

Sarah lifted her head to look at him. At this close distance, his eyes were slightly closed, but didn't diminish his handsome features. It even added a touch of approachability to him. She couldn't help but lift her hand and place it gently on his cheek Sarah had finally touched Xavier's face and the excitement overwhelmed her.

This was the face Sarah had longed for and had appeared countless times in her dreams.

Xavier wasn't completely drunk, just muddled and groggy. When he felt something on his face, he instinctively reached out and grabbed it. It was a woman's wrist, and without thinking, he tightened his grip.

He murmured, "Lily"

In an instant, the infatuated expression on Sarah's face stiffened. Lily? Xavier and Lily were already divorced, so Sarah couldn't understand how he could call out Lily's name while drurk.

She wondered if Xavier had actually fallen for Lily. He wasn't allowed to do that. Sarah couldn't allow him to even think of Lily, much less fall in love with her.

A deep jealousy surged in Sarah's eyes as she watched his lips move slightly, seemingly still whispering Lily's name. She leaned in without thinking- Suddenly, a loud squeak distracted her.
