Lilly sent a brief response before messaging Hayden's caregiver, instructing them to contact Bobby and Hazel if anything happened during those three days, She powered oft her phone after arranging everything. Although a WhatsApp notification popped up before it tumed off, she was too busy shutting down her tablet to notice it.

After handing over all her electronic devices, she collected her mom kry and headed straight to her assigned accommodations with her suitcase in tow.

The entire hotel had been reserved for the competition. The contestants were housed from the first to the third floor while the judges and sponsors occupied the fourth

Lily's room was on the third floor. The hotel's layout formed a c-shape, and she had to walk almost a full circle from the elevator to reach her room at the far end.

she could see the central fountain on the first floor from her room. The sound of flowing water blended with soft music, creating a serene and elegant ambiance. The window opposite the door offered a breathtaking view of the mountain range with their peaks rising in layered grandeur outside the hotel when she stepped inside.

Lily felt as though she had entered a new and unfamiliar rhythm of life after being disconnected from her phone and the outside world. There was a subtle and Inexplicable excitement stiming within her

The phone in the room rang before she could finish unpacking. She walked over to pick it up

"Hello, is this Contestant Number 52, Lily?"

"Yes, that's me."

All the contestants were renumbered for the three-round competition, and Lily was now Number 52.

The receptionist politely informed her to gather at the lobby in an hour to collect the competition guidelines and rules

Lily replied, "Okay"

"Also, someone is here to see you on the first floor. Please come down." The receptionist provided the location details and ended the call betore Lily could refuse. The competition organizers had reserved the entire hotel, so everyone inside was a contestant. Lily Instinctively thought of Terence before she quickdy dismissed the thought. Given how busy things were at Devereux Group, how would Terence possibly stay disconnected from the world outside for three days? So, who could it be?

She was puzzled. She grabbed the room key and headed to the designated meeting spot.

A figure dressed in slacks stood behind a tall potted plant in the comer by the column to the right of the back entrance on the first floor, acting suspiciously. Lily couldn't identify the person

"Excuse me, are you looking for me?" Lily stopped a short distance away with a hint of vigilance.

Lawrence extended his hand from behind the plant and waved her over. "Lily, right? Come here."

"Mr. Green?" Lily recognized him. He was the general supervisor of the competition in the country. "Ms. Joyner, do you know Mr. Devereux from Devereux Group?" Lawrence's tone was rather polite. Lily frowned slightly and paused momentarily before nodding. "I do,"

Lawrence sensed her tension and smiled. "Do you also know Mr. Fulton and Ms. Lynde from Nova Group?

However, his question was met with silence. Lily wasn't unwilling to answer. She simply didn't know how.

After a moment of silence, she asked thetorically, "Mr. Green, does this have anything to do with my participation in the competition?"

Lawrence stammered. His gaze constantly flickered upstairs. "Well, I just wanted to ask if you needed-"

"No, I don't." Lily cut him off before he could finish. "I'm here to compete according to the rules. Please ensure falmess and impartiality." She wanted none of it whether they wanted to help or hinder her. With that, she turned around and left. Lawrence didn't run after her. His gaze lingered on a comer of the second floor.

Sarah stepped out from behind a partition wall with a camera in her hands. She gestured a thumbs-up to Lawrence before walking away.

She spotted Xavier emerging from the deluxe suite when she returned to the fourth floor. His eyes fell on the camera in her hands. "Why do you bring that here?"

"The view here is beautiful, so I took a few photos." Sarah smiled as she instinctively shifted the camera behind her back "It's indeed beautiful" Xavier raised his eyebrows slightly. "What did you capture? Let me me see."
