Fight for Me

Chapter Found you

Third POV

As the doctor and his subordinate are being led back downstairs by one of the pack members, Micah, he gives her a knowing look.

She stops and turns to the shifter. “Uhm. Excuse me. I really don’t want to be a bother, but is it fine if you can lead me to the ladies’ room.” She looks at his unmoving face. “I’ll be quick. Promise.” She tries to smile.

Micah looks at her and then at the doctor just next to her. But at that moment, the doctor’s phone rings.

“Ah. I gotta take this. You go ahead. I’ll wait.” He says before answering the phone. “Dr. Parker speaking.” He turns around and walks deeper into the living room.

Micah looks back at the woman, and sees her a bit uncomfortable.

Oh shit. She must really want the bathroom. Micah thinks to himself.

“Oh, sorry. This way. Just follow me.” He tries to say in a gentler tone.

As the two of them walk away, Parker puts the phone away, and starts looking around the pack-house. But the house is quiet though.

They must be on the training grounds or something.

But just as he walks past the window facing the back porch, he sees two people outside.

“I’m fine. Really Ben.” She smiles at him reassuringly.

“You sure? Are you really fine, Layla?” He hears the man ask her.

Parker can’t help but smile excitedly.

Long black hair, a small figure and name, -Layla.

“Found you.” He says to himself.

He stands there for a while just smilingly staring at her, admiring his view, - his prize.

“So, I guess you came here looking for her then?”

Parker snaps his head to the side the voice came from.

“What? Oh, I was just-“ He stops seeing the large plaster covering half of the woman’s face.

“Done staring?” Samantha says with spite.

But Parker is actually getting annoyed at her attitude towards him.

Samantha scoffs at him. “Well, with the way you were staring at her, I can tell you’re up to no good. So,……are you here for her?”

But Parker doesn’t want to speak. He finally found her, he can’t lose her now.

“Look old man. I don’t care what it is you want to do with her. I just want to know if you’re going to take her away from here?”

Samantha starts thinking to herself. I have cried enough, apologized enough and been angry at myself enough. In a matter of 24 hours, I’ve seen enough pitied looks that can last me a lifetime. And still, they keep asking me what it is I did wrong. So, I’ve become the victim and culprit in their eyes. No one is even on my side. My own wolf is abandoning me. And it’s all because of ‘her’. I don’t know what she is, but I felt it, I saw it, - the way the whites of her eyes turned black and her irises were practically a blue glow. She had a very sinister aura around her. It scared the shit out of my wolf. She needs to leave. She must get away from the brothers.

Parker clears his throat. “Something like that.” He looks at her suspiciously.

I don’t want Layla to just leave and be on her way. If someone can make her feel pain too, I’ll gladly offer her up. Samantha smirks.

“Well. If that’s the case, you should know that she plans on leaving soon.” She sees his eyes go wide and she smirks with a slight pout. “I don’t know when exactly, but I guess that just means you’ll have to hurry up. Oh, and just on a side note, the Alpha protects that woman.”

Samantha walks out and disappears around the corner.

Parker wants to call her back to ask some more questions, but that’s when Micah and his subordinate come walking in.

Micah frowns at seeing the doctor not being in the living room, -where he left him.

“This way then.” Micah gestures with his hand, leading the doctor and woman to the front door.

Just as the two get in the car, the woman speaks.

“I didn’t see anything on that side of the house.”

“That’s fine Jess.” Parker says to her. “I already found her.” The woman looks at him surprised. “She’s here.” Parker says smiling again. “We’ll be back soon.”

They drive off, and away from the Shadow Moon Pack-grounds.
