Dream Partners: New Dimensions (Book 3)

After walking back home, Andrea had walked into the kitchen to pour herself some coffee and to see Jay off, however, this morning, jay was sitting at the table in his robe eating instead of being fully dressed. Andrea smiled and said "Honey aren't you supposed to be at work? And he said "Nah I'm working from home today because you need the day off". She smiled before saying "no I don't " and He said" sweetie you've been working so hard cooking, cleaning, helping Victoria with everything and I think you need some rest Andrea". Her eye twitched a little before she said, "no I'm fine, I just want to be there". Jay dropped his utensils before getting up and picking his wife up and carrying her to the living room and pointing to this embroidery sampler. It had a picture of Andrea and Jay firing their Powers into the sky and at the bottom in red words, it was captioned "Dream partners".

He smiled at her and said "sweetie I know you're scared of her suffering the same childhood we had, but you can't hover over her every single day...honey she's strong just like you, and she can handle more than you think, you just gotta trust her and trust me on this". Andrea sighed and said "but -" before Jay cut her off and said "I trusted you all those years ago when you told me I had to let go and stop trying to be everywhere at once, now look at me, I'm happier, I let go and our marriage is 6 years strong". Andrea sighed and said "it's hard" and Jay smiled and say "I know but if I can do it then I know you can...we always do everything together...just because time has passed doesn't mean we're not still obligated by past promises". Jay sat his wife down and said "We went through hell and we still turned out amazing...just trust me Sweetie when I say no matter what happens Imma give that girl the best life and the best chances that we never had, no matter the cost".

She smiled and said" I will never doubt the word of a man who died for me" and Jay kissed Andrea before saying "I will never lie to the woman who saved my life multiple times". After that, Jay went into the kitchen, grabbed Andrea a plate of his breakfast wraps, handed her the remote, and said: "you relax today and I will handle, the cleaning, Victoria, and the paperwork for the company okay?". Andrea smiled and said "okay" as Jay took his plate into his office on a mission to finish his wife's chores. It was shortly after 11 Am when jay finished both his and Andrea's paperwork and finally left his office. As he passed by the living room, he found Andrea passed out on the couch with crumbs everywhere which made him chuckle as this is the first time he actually saw her be lazy without being drunk.

Jay went into the kitchen, cleaned and mopped before heading to take care of the bathrooms, halls, guest bedrooms, and offices. When he came back downstairs, he started the laundry before finally walking over to his knocked-out wife and picking her up, and taking her to the upstairs entertainment room. He laid her on the couch and covered her with a blanket before walking back downstairs to clean the living room before mopping it as well. After thoroughly cleaning the rest of the house, he went outside to clean to cars and wash the grime off the house's windows and the gutters...he figured since he was doing chores, he might as well add his own to the list. After he finished the outside work, he came back in and put the clothes in the dryer before sitting in the recliner that was in his office and trying to watch tv but instead he accidentally dozed off dangerously close to the time Victoria would need to be picked up from the bus stop which was only about an hour away.

Meanwhile, at school, Victoria was sitting in class bored out of her mind and didn't snap out of her daydream until she heard the words "recess and line up". As they walked outdoors to the playground, Victoria was unaware that her world was about to turn upside down. As they exited the school, to the playground Victoria met up with her best friend Lila and they stood on the jungle gym and watched the boys play soccer, until Lila walked off for a minute and Victoria climbed down to get a closer look at the boys. As she walked closer, suddenly a ball nailed her in the head, knocking her flat on her back as the boy who kicked it immediately ran over to her. He pulled her up and said "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hit you" and when Victoria looked at him, she melted at how gorgeous the boy was. She couldn't help but gaze into his blue eyes and at his golden skin which matched his short curly black hair".

After a minute or two, he waved his hand at her before she shook her head and said "huh" and he laughed and said, "my name is Carlos, are you okay?" And she smiled and said "yes...yes, it's fine, Ummm here's your ball" and he smiled and said, "thanks"  before heading back to his game". After that, something in Victoria snapped as she started feeling funny and a purple planet-shaped mark appeared on her wrist and her eyes glowed purple before she snapped back to normal. Unbeknownst to her, the same thing was happening to Carlos which caused him to drop out of the game and run into the nearest bathroom and lock himself into a stall until it quit. By the time recess was over, both of the adolescents were in shock and disbelief about what just happened to both of them.
