Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me

Chapter 33 Is It Not A Proper Time?

Wesley did not show much emotion behind the desk. He said briefly, "Let her come over."

It was late at night, and Harriet wore a mask from the entrance of the basement to the floor of the Wesley's office. She could only buy a box of almond cookies on the road to show her gratitude as she came in a rush.

"Miss Clark, Wesley is waiting for you."

Jack opened the door. After Harriet nodded in, he closed the door very consciously and walked far away in the corridor to prevent someone from intruding.

This was Harriet's second visit to his office.

The last time she asked him like a lunatic for the reason why he made trouble for her, but she surrendered. This time, she came to thank him for helping her solve the problem. It was a bit ridiculous to think about it.

"Mr. Smith, thank you for dealing the rumor."

Wesley did not lift his head. He turned the page of the contract in his hand, reading it carefully and said, "You came all the long way here to say this?"

It took more than three hours to drive here. It was indeed far away.

"I need to thank you in person since you helped me to resolve the issue." Harriet frowned, thinking that no matter how resentful she felt to him, she should thank him for the rumor solved. She raised the cookies from Biggerlove Village in her hand. "I bought almond cookies for you as you said you like it. "

Wesley glanced up and nodded slightly, "Well, I can take it as my dinner right now."

"You haven't had dinner yet?"

Harriet stunned for a moment. It was almost ten p.m.

"Yes."

Wesley signed the contract and sat upright. "I did not have time to have dinner because of a meeting."

"I wouldn't buy the cookie if I knew that. I should bring you supper."

"It's not too late to make me a dinner."

Following Lanzhou's gaze, Harriet saw the direction of the office cubicle, the sliding door opened halfway. She could vaguely see the refrigerator and kitchen console inside. Harriet then grasped the idea and put down the cookies. She rolled up her sleeves and walked toward the kitchen. "Then I will make something for you. What do you want to eat?" "It's ok whatever you make."

There were a lot of food in the refrigerator but it took least time to cook noodles. Harriet chose tomatoes, beef, eggs and other ingredients to prepare for the dinner.

It seemed that it had been a long time since she cooked for him. She almost forgot how to cook.

She was suddenly realized that she never cooked when Wesley was away,

Ten minutes later, a bowl of tomato beef noodles was on the table. Wesley ate the noodles slowly. Harriet saw that he was satisfied with the noodles so she took her coat and was going to leave. "Then enjoy, I'll go back to the crew."

"There is a bedroom in the cubicle. I will let Jack take you back tomorrow morning."

Harriet had already stood up. She frowned when hearing his words, "I...I am in my..., it's not a good time."

She knew that Wesley had only one purpose for her to stay overnight.

Wesley stopped his hand and looked at her, a little speechless, "What are you thinking? I need to work overtime at night. You just sleep on your own."

Harriet blushed with his sight, "I didn't think about anything, I..."

She came out a sentence finally, "It is you who think too much. I'm afraid I will dirty your sheets when sleeping!"

Wesley raised her eyebrows and ignored her.

As the night grew darker, Harriet was lying on the bed in the cubicle, and she could clearly smell his scent on the sheet and pillow. She could see the light outside the door was bright through the door and occasionally came the sound of clattering keyboard typing.

She asked Molly and knew that Molly didn't go to her room that night when she was drunk. She found a handkerchief in the trash bin, which was a bit similar with the one carried in the pocket of the suit of him. Did he take care of her the whole night?

The other side,

Irene received a phone call from Kate late at night, and she was scolded furiously when she answered the phone, "You made the rumors about Harriet, right?"

Irene didn't confess, "I just saw the news. Although Harriet and I have a bit of personal grievances, we are in the same company. How could I do such thing? In addition, she is unscathed."

"That is her competence even though she remains fine."

Kate's revealed her impatience in her voice, "Irene, keep my suggestion in your mind, don't provoke Harriet, or you will set fire on yourself."

"Kate, what did you mean? My aunt is the wife of the chairman of the Jones Group!"

"Don't mention your alienated relative. I haven't seen your aunt's investment set for our company. You'd better work hard on your job!"

Kate was most annoyed with Irene's pretentious look. If Henry didn't like her, she would not get her working in the company.

Irene couldn't hold her dignity, but she couldn't say much through the phone, pressing her anger, "Who is the boss backing her?" "Don't ask me. I don't know, neither."

Irene was annoyed by the Kate's call. Her agent made another call and blamed her for what she had done. She ran out of calm and groaned, "You are just my agent. What you should do is to get me good scripts instead of scolding me. If you could not get used to this, you can leave."

What she didn't expect was that the agent agreed her idea, "OK, I quit. I fail to stand you anyway."

Irene went crazy and smashed the things around her. The damn Harriet had caused her so much trouble since she met her.

Looking at the agent's notes in the address book, she suddenly thought of something. Harriet's former agent was Charlene. She must know who was the boss behind as Charlene was the closest person in her life and work.

Harriet woke up early in the next morning but she did not see Wesley in the office. She asked Jack about it and knew that Wesley was having an international meeting in the next meeting room.

"Miss Clark, boss Wesley let me take you back to the crew after you wake up."

Harriet glanced at the clock and it was just over six o'clock. "When will the meeting be over?"

"It's estimated to be end fast. It has been three hours."

"Then I will prepare the breakfast for him before I leave."

Anyway, it was still early she could borrow his kitchen to make a breakfast for him and her. She still got time to enjoy it then left for work.

Harriet was frying poached eggs when the voice of Jack came from outside, mixed with the sound of hurrying and door opened, "Miss Jones, boss Wesley is in the meeting. You cannot go inside. "Well. Isn't he in the next door? I'll just wait for him in his office. My parents asked me to bring him breakfast, and I'm still very sleepy since I got up so early this morning.

When Louisa opened the door, she smelled a fume smell and saw a woman in the kitchen when she turned her head.

Harriet wore Wesley's large pajamas and the sleeves were pulled several tiers up, revealing a pair of porcelain-white arms. Her hair was loose on her shoulders, showing that she just got up. Louisa turned her eyes right across the bedroom for the messy bed. Her face once got dark and questioned Jack, "Jack, who is she?"

Harriet heard that Jack called her Miss Jones. She was familiar with her face. She realized that the woman was in the operating room that day. She was Wesley's fiancée. Harriet also changed her emotion. "Miss Jones, you'd better ask boss Wesley about this matter."

Jack was embarrassed and did not know how to deal with it.
