CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1906

The moment Caleb entered the password at the door, Vera realized he frequented this place. Who could it be?

Her mind swirled with guesses, but when the door opened, she followed Caleb inside and saw Luna curled up on the couch in the living room.

Caleb immediately strode over to Luna and began checking her condition. Vera trailed closely behind, holding the first aid kit she had brought.

"This is appendicitis," Caleb said firmly. "We need to get you to the hospital right away."

He didn't even use the supplies in the first aid kit.

However, Luna noticed Vera standing there and was visibly startled. She hadn't expected Caleb to bring someone else—especially Vera-along.

When Caleb bent down to lift Luna, she resisted, trying to push him away. "Caleb, what are you doing? What's the point of all this? Why are you acting like this?"

Caleb's focus was entirely on Luna's worsening condition. Her appendicitis had escalated to a critical point, and she needed surgery immediately.

"You called me," Caleb said, his tone sharp. "This is serious-your appendicitis is flaring up. Luna, do you have a death wish?"

His expression was dark with frustration.

Without waiting for further protests, Caleb scooped her up and carried her toward the door, ignoring her struggles.

Vera quickly followed, realizing she should get to the car first and start it.

Still upset, Luna muttered, "Yes, I don't care if I live or die! If I'd known you'd come here just to upset me like this, I wouldn't have called you. I told you, I don't want to go to the hospital.

"Caleb, we're friends! How can you force me like this?"

Luna stubbornly held on to her complaints, but Caleb had only one goal in mind to get her to the hospital and ensure she survived.

He gently placed Luna in the back seat of the car. Just as he was about to get into the driver's seat, he noticed Vera had already climbed behind the wheel.

"You should sit with Miss Gibson," Vera said. "I'll drive."

Surprised, Caleb hesitated for a moment but then nodded. Luna's condition was serious, and he didn't have time to argue.

Vera drove quickly and efficiently to the hospital.

Once there, Caleb carried Luna into the ER, swiftly explaining her condition and arranging for surgery While he was handling initial

When Caleb found her again, Vera handed him the news without hesitation. "I told the staff to charge the fees under your name. I didn't have the money to pay upfront."

"Got it," Caleb replied, heading to the payment counter.

By the time he returned, Vera was nowhere to be found.

After a moment's thought, Caleb went to the nurse's station to ask about Vera's family and found out where her father was staying.

Following the directions, he eventually spotted Vera asleep on a bench in the hallway, leaning against the wall.

She had done her part tonight.

"Why are you sleeping here?" Caleb asked, stepping closer.

Vera was a light sleeper, and his voice woke her instantly. She blinked, surprised to see him.

"Isn't Miss Gibson having surgery? Why are you here looking for me?"

"She's in surgery, but I'm not the one performing it. I can't do anything until it's over. Besides," Caleb added, his tone calm, "we didn't finish our conversation earlier. Of course I came to find you."
